Garden Pizza in Fairview catered my birthday party this January and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire night. Billy suggested the shrimp franchise, something I had never tried before, and it completely stole the show. It was that memorable--three months later my mother still orders it regularly. The fried calamari arrived unbelievably crispy, as if it had just come out of the fryer in the dining room. Multiple guests actually commented on how impressive that was for catered food. The sausage and peppers were also done perfectly--the sausages were sliced instead of served whole, which made them much easier for guests to serve and enjoy. Everything showed up right on schedule, the portions were huge, and for days afterward I had guests texting me asking where the food came from. Ironically, I was so busy hosting and enjoying the party that I completely forgot to take photos -- which I regret because everything looked fantastic. Garden Pizza has been one of my favorite local restaurants for years, and after this experience I'd recommend them to anyone looking for great Italian food or dependable catering. read more

This is a solid pizzeria restaurant. Today we stopped in to pick up lunch to go. We had the Isabella panini and a drunken chicken parm. The Isabella Sandwich was Prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, fresh basil with EVOO & balsamic which I got on the side. They pressed it like a panini for me and it was delicious. The drunken chicken parm can't be beat. The bread is delicious here. The sauce is great and the mozzarella is sliced fresh mozzarella. When I'm in the Tri State Area, pizza is an absolute must. And had many people recommend me Garden Pizza. Located inside a shopping center on Bergen Blvd there is plenty of parking. It's not a large place inside but you definitely get the local Italian pizza spot vibe. It was early in the day but it's never too early for a couple of slices. I also grabbed one of their own sodas. Gotta go with Black Cherry all day. The slices are a good size for folding. The flop is almost non-existant. Sauce was tangy and you can hear the crisp on the bite. It was spot on. I even had to hold it in front of me after the first bite just to admire the perfect balance of thin and crispy and not flop. It held steady until I went in for another bite. The Dark Cherry soda was "the cherry on top" as it was another winner. Overall this was a great pizza that I would come back over and over again for. Garden Pizza you got my vote! Fantastic service I had a buffalo barbecue pizza and the vegetable pizza with both amazing!!

I placed an online order for lasagna. I called to check where my delivery was, it was already 45 minutes. I was told he did not know where his driver was, they don't have trackers on their drivers!! I finally got my order. Great sauce, however there was barely any mozarella or ricotta cheese and it was lukewarm. I'll take the refund issue up with my bank card company. One sarcastic response is enough and I didn't order that. In short, good sauce but poor delivery, not as described and Garden's notorious sarcasm. read more

We have never had an issue with Garden Pizza until recently. On June 17.2025 at 19:47 we ordered a medium pizza and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was burnt and dry. The mozzarella sticks had breading on them that was raw. It looks like they were dipped in eggs and bread crumbs and never fried. They were cold. We had to throw the entire order out. The food was such a disappointment and we would be hard pressed to order from there again even though we have been long time customers. read more

Refuse to go there ever again. After a long day of work, my wife & I would go there, relax and enjoy our meals. The past few times we have been there it's been horrible. We could wait to get outta there. You have music coming down from ceiling speakers & at the same time music blaring from the kitchen to the point you can't hear yourself speak. This place used to be a go-to for many, many people in the area and a staple of the community. I wanted to piss myself off today and see how it has changed. I have succeeded in my mission. I used to love popping in Garden and being treated like a human being. You would think that the new boss would continue what wasn't broken. There is no possible way that the new owners are getting the same business that Johnny had (which him and his family have worked many years to build). The new owners have successfully pissed it away with doing things "their way". I hope the ego boost of changing everything for the worse makes up for the lack of business you'll get. The place still smells like paint and looks like a hospital. It's a gfys operation which you can feel upon entering the place. The pizza is painful to eat. Even if it wasn't a previously owned business the product they pump blows. (And they know it and refuse to improve because, as we know it's "their way") Real sad. SMH. They took all the photos down in the "dining room" and replaced it with a security camera to watch you eat your cardboard. I think they're afraid you'll steal the containers of crushed red peppers. A couple weeks ago when I was I NJ for a work trip, my buddy and I went to hang out at Bar One Public House - it was a Monday night - to watch the Raptors play against the warriors over drinks & eats. EXCEPT when we got there and asked to order food, we were told that the kitchen was actually closed - later found out that the place was just bought out by the new owner who was serving us drinks and the kitchen wouldn't be open until Thurs night - but we were told by the nice and awesome new bar owner that we could order food from anywhere and have it delivered there. So we asked for pizza recommendations and Garden Pizza was one of the top two. We ordered just a plain pepperoni pizza cuz my buddy's a kinda picky eater. 20 min later, the pizza arrived and O. M. G. that pizza was AH. MAY. ZING. I've always been told that pizza from LA is nothing compared to pizza in the east. And God are they right! The pizza from here was super legit. By far, one of the very best pizzas I've ever had! Two nights later, we went back to Bar One with a couple more friends, and we did the same - ordered another pepperoni pizza! And when it arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised because we were also given a free Marguerite pizza (I think that's what it was but I'm not 100% sure cuz I was 3 drinks in by then LOL) - BUT they were both AH. Not that he offers this information to every caller that places an order, but I happened to be interested in learning more as I've heard so much about Garden Pizza! I recently move to NJ with the wife and with all our moves take out & delivery is part of our weekly dinner plans. Pizza and Chinese are probably 1 and 2 in delivery service and Garden Pizza is a very good option in our choice of pizza delivery service. Now, my big three pet peeve's when it comes to delivery service with restaurants are "delivery time"; "food temp" and "value". I found Garden Pizza to be very good in all three. Delivery time within quote time. Food was warm to hot. Price point average to good. Overall, if you want Pizza delivery in Cliffside Park; Garden Pizza does a very good job. Funny I have not mention how was the pizza by now. Let me say, very good in all my criteria for pizza. Crust to sauce to cheese to toppings, all with the right ratio of technique in cooking and ingredients. Oh yeah, it taste great. Meat Lover's Pizza...stuff with a ton of sausage, pepperoni, meatball and ham. I mean there was not an open space on top. All good. Thin crust with a snap. Pizza did not droop when pickup. It was a very good slice. Sauce did not overpower slice. I would add a bit more cheese, but this does not deter from a good slice. The Original Margharita Pizza, was delicious. A very airy and light pie that just melted with flavor. A 14" round deep dish foccacia style pizza with fresh mozzarella, plum tomatoes & fresh basil. Great ratio of ingredients with a very crispy edge. As good as it gets. Sausage Roll, very average. Just a filler. Not bad, but just average. Veal Parm, very good. Overstuffed hero with tender breaded veal, mozz and sauce. Another well balanced sandwich. This was a huge sandwich. Enough for two. Did I say very tasty. Meatball Parm, another solid sandwich. Tasty meatballs, mozz and sauce in a nice foccacia or Italian bread. Bread was fresh and soft and had that balance with ingrdients. As you can see I have ordered a few times for delivery and pickup service. Delivery guys friendly and nice. Pizza guys old school. I read some reviews that said they where rude. I found them to be genuine and nice guys. These guys are not PC guys, but the "how ya doin" kind of guys. Like I said old school with respect. read more
