The sweetest staff with the best pizzas! Came here with a friend for a Sunday night dinner and it was busy, but they were able to seat us. The space itself is small, maybe only fits 20 people inside and 10 outside in their covered patio. Food wise, tried the Affumicata pizza which was incredible! Spicy sausage and smoked mozz is a match made in heaven. The crust is also so good, a tad chewy which I personally love. This is one of those places that is so good you almost don't want to give them a good review because you don't want too many other people to go and make it hard to get a table. Really cute little place with great service and amazing food. We had two antpastis, a caprese and an eggplant dish, two pastas, and a pizza, and everything was amazing. The lava cake for dessert was amazing as well. We had a few espressos and a cappuccino and they made the most amazing face drawing in the cappuccino foam. I was running a little late, so I had them order me the Quattro formaggi e salamino pizza that came with four cheeses and pepperoni. I was between that one and the tartufata. I wish I would've gotten there sooner because they all split several appetizers that look like they would've been great. Wine and dessert type of vibe. Honestly one of the most refreshing outings I've had the place is so lively for 1 hour before close in a mom and pop Italian restaurant. The house wine was perfect and not too acidic which was great for my taste but it depends on your personal palette. Everyone was so nice and kind and we walked in with no reservation and they were still able to accommodate us. I just came to eat here with my family and had a blast. Their pizza is solid, the place clean and chill, the service welcoming and reasonably fast. Salvatore does everything you can to make you feel as you were at home. To the contrary of what Yelp reports, the restaurant opens at 12p, not 11:30a. There are a few tables inside as well as outside. The place is not big, so come early (or at low-peak hours) to make sure to find a spot. We ordered a Margherita (regular) and an Affumicata (large). They were more than enough for me, my wife and our toddler. Fresh ingredients and perfectly baked dough do a great job. The crust is yummy as well. The bottom was slightly burned, but it didn't alter the flavor at all. Both pizzas were legit. Next time I want to try other dishes, too, because I saw a few passing by and they looked really good. We came here by accident and it was serendipity. I saw this place but knew nothing about it. It was rainy and cold and immediately as soon as we walked in it exuded a feeling of being warm and cozy and intimate. The staff was very attentive and sincere. No attitude here at all. The vegetable puréed soup was perfect and the spinach fettuccine and tortellini in cream sauce were very good as well as the house red wine. We enjoyed the fresh tiramisu and cannoli. We visited Bosino last night after hearing good things about it. We choose the Margherita pizza, Sorrento gnocchi, and Nutella (pretty expensive). We appreciated that our server was knowledgeable about the cuisine. We had great expectations because it was also claimed that their gnocci was well-liked, but I must admit that I was a little let down. On the menu, the inventive flavor combinations seemed fantastic, but the actual taste was a little underwhelming. We tried to pick up the pizza, but the core wasn't very sturdy because it was wet. The bosino pizza came with pistachios, pesto, and ricotta- such a tasty combination! We also had the boscaiola with sausage, mushrooms, marinara sauce, and gorgonzola. Have you ever woken up and thought "today is going be a great day?" Well ordering food from this place is the perfect way to ruin that. I ordered food for $50 (pizza, pasta, cake). The amount of food I got wouldn't be enough for one of the rats that run around New York at night. I don't know how they expect this food to be filling to anyone. My only guess is that coronavirus ate the other half of the food I was supposed to get. This place earns my Smallest Cake Award. Paid $10 for a "cake" that's too small to see without a large magnifying glass. I could've gone to Mohammed at the corner bodega and fed a small army with this money. I'm beyond pissed. read more

I stumbled on this cute and intimate spot while walking to the subway from my hostel. The people running this establishment are all really nice. I ordered the four cheese pizza with salami, and it arrived promptly. The pizza base had the best texture. Just the right amount of soft chewiness on the inside. And the crust was lightly brittle and crumbly. It was a joy sinking my teeth into the crust. However, there is not a lot of other positive things about the pizza. There was a touch too much salt in the dough. The pizza was burnt underneath in far too many spots, and the rims of the salami were also burnt hard. And the toppings were concentrated in the center by a wide margin. Distributing the toppings evenly throughout the pizza almost never happens, but I feel for a pizza at this price point, it's necessary. The blend of cheeses taste good when I'm able to taste them. I like that they've left out blue cheese because that would probably have clashed with the salami. But the parmigiano was completely absent. It looked like the pizza only got a faint dusting of parmigiano, and missed the distinct smell and taste of it. My last little gripe is that I didn't get the complementary bread and butter. I probably wouldn't have consumed it anyway because I wasn't very hungry. But it's something that just shouldn't be done, leaving your customer without the bread and butter while giving it to subsequent customers. Perhaps it's because I showed up 10 minutes before the restaurant actually opened for business. Lot's of potential in this place. I'll probably be checking them out again in a couple days. I was introduced to Bosino on Monday and returned on Friday for the eggplant parmigiana which is crazy delicious. I shy away from this dish as it's usually dry, smothered in cheese and tough. This was juicy with a slight crunch to it and the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. So damn good. Then...we ordered a cappuccino and they drew my friend's cat in it at the table from a photo on her phone. I've never seen anything like it.
