Once a week, my dart team orders pizza or sandwiches from here and it never disappoints! Sandwiches are big and tasty- I've had the Italian sub, meatball parm (sauce is good) and their chicken cutlet. Their pizza pretty decent as well. Delivery usually arrives within 45 mins and the place is not overly pricey. Last night my mom and I decided to place and order and try something different. I wound up getting the veal Marsala, she got the chicken Marsala, and we both decided to also split an order of their garlic bread and clams oreganata. The garlic bread was delicious, however their clams were stuffed to the max with breadcrumbs (I would recommend skipping this if you order from here). We both LOVED our dinner entrees. Rude people working the phones! My grandmother called in an order for delivery. Thinking we were going to pick up initially, I called right back to use a credit card so I could treat my grandparents to dinner. The guy on the phone started off by making a comment that I was holding up his phone lines. I gave him my cc info then he proceeded to make another comment about how I've now inconvenienced him by paying with a credit card. I told him some people would just rather use a cc (seriously... it's 2017... I'd take a wild guess that most people use a card these days) but was still pleasant with him. He then told me that there's an ATM on every corner for me to get cash from. I laughed and told him to just cancel the order. He thanked me for cancelling and told me it "helped him out". The whole call was absurd and rude. This jerk's comments to me took longer than actually giving my card info. Really guy? I guess you're Mr. Rockefeller who doesn't need my business. Or maybe you just think you're above being a decent human to others. Let me guess- you're also the type of guy that doesn't care about negative Yelp reviews. I really wish I didn't have to give these people a star at all. First of all they're always so rude, especially to woman. Regardless of calling in, picking up, delivery or walking in to sit down for lunch the owners/workers are so inconsiderate and rude. I decided to cater for my sons birthday party. When I walked in they asked what they could do for me, I told them I spoke to someone the previous day regarding catering and HE TOLD ME TO COME IN for more details on the tray size etc. The man "helping" me sarcastically said well that was yesterday so what do you want now? Calling for delivery might run you a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour so if you are willing you're better off calling ahead for a pick up. They are always friendly when placing an order over the phone and if you're lucky you can use coupons for some of your orders! (The coupons usually come taped to the pizza box when you place a delivery order.) We usually order a chicken parm dinner to split and then a small pie. The portions are reasonable for the prices they charge. I've also on a separate occasion have catered a tray of penne ala vodka and chicken parm and everyone was saying how delicious it was. Best part of that deal was that they delivered it to my house! If in the Upper North Bergen area or Fairview I would take a chance on Garden Pizza. I've been here once and I'd say it was a good experience. I had the "margherita" pizza slice and it was delicious. Granted the slices are re-heated but I don't know of any pizza place where they would make you an individual slice from scratch. I also had the garlic knots which was 4 for $1.25 The knots were ok. I felt like they were lacking in the garlic department but they also provided marinara dipping sauce so I was pleased. After we ordered, we got to sit down in the restaurant area. The walls were filled with a bunch of Italian things or things you would probably find in an Italian household. The waitress was nice and so were the people by the counter. There is also plenty of parking because it is in strip mall. Let me start off with the only thing I've ordered from them is a regular cheese pizza and a white pizza, the white pizza is about $15.00 for a large. The regular cheese pizza is ok nothing spectacular about it, but the white pizza deserves all 5 stars..it's delicious! I am sad to write this comment because the food is very good but the situation that I live in that restaurant is too bad. my family and I have many years being frequent customers of the place, all people including waiters are good people and were always very friendly, ... but today I went to lunch, I was going with my dog that is emotional support and one of the brothers told me that I could not eat with my dog there and I told him that I had the permission of emotional support, then the waitress greets me very kind but from one moment to another the owner comes out and begins to shout me no ... but from one moment to another the owner comes out and starts yelling at me that I can't be there with my dog, I didn't allow myself to talk, I just yelled and yelled at me, it was threatening, disrespectful, abusive and aggressive with me. I walked out of the restaurant telling him that they lost a customer, that wasn't the way to treat a client I felt so bad because I was just waiting to be told if I could eat inside or if I could be served outside, because I really had no problem eating out... Then I called again to talk to the manager because I didn't really know that the man who had yelled at me was the owner, and what I received was a disrespectful response, "I'm sorry but I can't do anything else". I felt so humiliated, I called the police and the police came to talk to them, although they gave me the reason, they only excused the situation saying that I was an old man and Italian, which is not an excuse. .
