Nostalgia tour - been 11 years since my last slice. This was my first food spot I hit after we arrived. Went with my son and we had a great time. At least 3 languages were spoken after midnight, and the fresh huge slice was amazing! Same as it ever was. The updated paint over the brick opens the storefront up as do the all new counters and hipster pipe and wood table installs. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. Great huge slice - not nearly the best, but the largest, and consistent for 40 years of my life!

Koronet Pizza 2848 Broadway New York, NY 10025 Allá Vodka with Basil Jumbo Slice What drew me to this urban pizza is the enormous size of their slices. It's definitely a unique experience being served a whopping 16" slice that envelopes the entire tray! #koronetpizza #jumboslice #allavodkawithbasil

Koronet Pizza Tasty, old school classic "Regular Size" Cheese Slice for under 4 bucks
    Mike R.

Koronet Pizza has been at the Morningside Heights location on Broadway for eons, serving a reasonably priced solid classic cheese slice with a crispy, tender crust... now the regular size slice going for $3.75. Ducked in to enjoy one the other day, although was tempted to upgrade to a Jumbo, which is only $6. (A good deal!) Koronet's Jumbo reminds me of my old Hoboken neighborhood's Benny Tudino's, known as "Home of the Largest Slice in NJ" which is always a deal for a humongous slice. (Miss Benny RIP and having that pizzeria down the street! Still stop by whenever I'm there.) Recommend stopping by Koronet here for an old school pizza slice experience!

Yes the pizza is as big as it looks! I didn't realize NYC had slices this big. I was in complete shock. The crust is nice and thin and CRUNCHY. It's a pretty famous spot so it's busy!! I ordered a cheese slice, grandma, and chicken bacon ranch slice. The chicken bacon ranch slice was my favorite. Right amount of chicken and bacon. The drizzle of ranch was not too crazy and the taste was spot on. All of the slices were great. They were all crunchy and very flavorful. I see why it's a crowd pleaser :)

I hadn't been here in years since their large slice made me sick but found myself in the area and decided to try it again. The slice was good this time. I got a broccoli and chicken slice that was delicious and my bf had a chicken bacon ranch. Both slices were already pre made and heated up pretty quick but they tasted fresh. Their prices are a little steep on slices but it's the city so it's understandable. The place was packed but we were able to grab one seat and the other stand to eat, it does get really cold inside when people open the door but that's just winter for you. All in all, it was good and I'd try them again if I'm in the area.

Koronet Pizza near Columbia University NEVER lets me down! Grandma is my favorite! Never a long wait and always satisfying.

The pizza is meh. The staff is cool. But the food is meh. The size is huge and it's cool that they have these giant slices for only $6 when u get a cheese but it's nothing to go crazy over. Their sauce and cheese don't have a lot of flavor. Their grade is a B if that means anything to anyone. Simple mistakes can drop the health grade but still.

People say to try New York pizza and I can't complain. Do try New York pizza, and better yet, try New York pizza with a dear friend from college who you have not seen in 5 years. My friend who was studying nearby was gracious enough to get lunch with me and I sincerely wish I had more time with her. That is the problem with being a busy adult, is that you do not get the time you want and deserve with people you care about. I am glad I was still able to reunite with my friend and eat pretty solid pizza. I enjoy pizza as much as any average person does. Was this the best pizza I've had? Certainly not? Did it hit the spot? Certainly. It was kind of ridiculous then lugging my gigantic pizza box back to the conference space I was attending. I am sure I made quite the impression on the people around me.

This is one of my favorite places to get a good slice in the city. I've been coming here ever since I was a student at Columbia and it still hits the spot every time. It has just the right amount of seating and some outdoor seating too. The pizza is always prepared perfectly and so delicious!

This location was super busy and there was a line outside the door, even at midnight on a Thursday. However, the line did move quickly inside. There are not any chairs inside, just bar tables to stand around, although there did seem to be a small table with a few chairs outside. Some of the bar tables had shakers with extra chili flakes or parmesan. The pizza slice gets put into their oven to be warmed to the crisp (if it has been left out for a while), so I would say that the service was excellent for that consideration. My friends and I shared a slice of the Supreme. It was SO good! I had heard this was an overrated spot, but the taste of the onions and sausage on a thin and crispy crust was fantastic. It was pretty large in size and could be shared with others. I would definitely come back to try their other pizza slices. Very solid spot to me.

Iconically known as the workplace of Peter Parker in the original Spider-Man movie, I knew it was mandatory to pay a visit during a very Spider-Man focused weekend. Now I'm sure there are cheaper slices available elsewhere - these range about $5-6 per slice, but they're really delicious. I'm a big fan of the thin crust and simple yet yummy toppings. We went 2 times during our trip - first ordering 2 pepperoni and later a Caprese, White, and Supreme. They were all great, but my favorite was the classic pepperoni. If you're going with a group of more than 2 people and don't all mind getting the same flavor, I recommend waiting in line next door - which is where they sell by the pie only. Both lines move relatively quickly, but some times are definitely more popular than others (weekend nights). You can honestly expect minimal eating space because there's so many people trying to be in there, but we got lucky and were able to eat at one of the countertops on the side. They also have additional seasonings available such as parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and chili flakes. Definitely willing to come back next time I'm near Times Square!

I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
