Ever have that craving for a chewy warm bagel with cream cheese? This is the place to come for large variety of flavors, but come early enough because they run out quickly. The appearance inside reminds me of being in the East Coast/Europe since there is no visual sign for ordering for the line to start, but go towards the back of the room to order in case you're new here. These guys easily make my fav bagel in town. A great range and great quality bagels. The breakfast sandwiches usually hit the spot right on. The store is kinda crammed with lots of seating that is just to hard for a giant like me to deal with, so I just grab and run. Amazing bagels. I love the veggie sandwich. I get a salt bagel with plain cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and sprouts. So yummy. I think I will get two next time. I generally get a 1/2 dozen for the kids and then get the cream cheese at the grocery store. Would give them five stars except the service is BAD. read more

The man who runs this store does a very good job. He has a crew of teenagers working who, frankly, are the hardest-working and most polite teens I have seen in retail in a long time. These are authentic NY/NJ bagels, and I think the manager/owner is an NJ native who now lives here. He always tells fun stories when you check out at the cash register. It was super busy on a Saturday morning, but it went quickly. Seems like you have to jump and say you're next if they start asking, or else someone will get ahead of you. Ok, admittedly...bagels are my favorite food on the planet. That said, I eat ALOT of them! This is the BEST bagel you can find! They are soft, always fresh and way tasty. This little store is always busy, but service is quick and friendly. You will see the regulars there everyday, just like a neighborhood pub. The owner, Steve comes from Jersey, and grew up in the Bagel business. He is always there....so quality is consistently excellent. My favorite bagel is the "cinnamon roll', which is a soft cinnamon raisin bagel with a sugary layer of icing....please don't buy the last one before I get there! My friend who loves lox, says this IS the most authentic in town...can't get any closer to East Coast than this. They never wash their hands, sadly!!! I love the bagels but decided I can't go there anymore because of the hand hygiene. The owner, as well as the workers go from washing the floor, to handling money without washing their hands before grabbing a bagel! I have even asked if they attended the food handlers course! I went to the new Carlsbad location and asked the worker to wear gloves while making my sandwich, he did reluctantly! I then asked for a pickle and his coworker who just counted money grabbed one with his bare hands!!! It's disgusting!!! At first, the bagels and service were good but in the past 6 months the quality and service has drastically diminished. The owner and staff are extremely rude, obnoxious and microwave EVERYTHING!!
