This is to update last review. As of today, I have not heard so much as a peep from Joseph. I had left a negative review about improperly installed Pex done in 2019. Another plumber had been working on a leak and commented that all the Pex tubing was laying on the ground instead of being tacked up. Joseph promised several times during the months of April, May of this year to have a worker out to properly tie up. Gave every excuse as to why someone had not been out, so we finally hired someone else to do HIS job. He had cancer, he was too old to crawl under the home to do work, his worker was injured etc etc. No communication unless I called him. So, do not hire this company. Much aggravation, wasted time and money. Shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly. read more

I don't usually write reviews however Joseph with Gardener Plumbing did exceptional work when stopping a major leak. Our toilet on the second floor leaked through the drywall to the first floor. Terrifying!!!! We quickly moved our furniture so it wouldn't get wet and called Gardener Plumbing. With the great news from Joseph that we didn't need to destroy our beautiful hardwood floors (not to mention our bank account as well) to find and fix the nearly 65 year old drain, I had no problem joining in on some of his favorite R&B classics. Turns out Joseph isn't just a great plumber, diehard Saints fan, compassionate humanitarian and true renaissance man but also a vocal sensation that needs to be heard to truly be appreciated. After texting pictures of my leaky water heater, I was quoted just shy of $200 to fix it. Joseph brought 2 stainless steel hoses to replace. I thought to myself hoses can't be more than $30, rest must be labor. After arriving an hour later than promised time, I was told I needed a new water heater. Quoted me almost $1400 to have a new unit put on. Ok thank you but I will need time to think about it. It would have been nice if that was the end of it. Before he left, he wanted $57 service fee which he failed to mention over the phone or text. Are you really charging me $57 for few min to look over my water heater and to tell me I needed a new unit? To make things worse he said he doesn't take credit card payments but ended up accepting and charging me extra for "cc processing fee". Their website advertises accepting credit cards. Got a new Rheem unit installed for $1100 out the door. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere read more

Joseph was fast to respond, and performed nearly $2,000 of work fixing a hot water leak for me. (A second plumber later told me I was overcharged). When I asked him for a W9 in order to legally claim the work on my taxes, he agreed. But after multiple messages he never responded, did not follow through with his word, and most likely is not claiming it on his tax return illegally. I can only assume he is evading taxes. So, if you want expensive work done quickly, but perhaps illegally, give him a call. Otherwise I suggest calling the next person on the list. read more

The price for a new water heater was reasonable and the work WAS completed however... the plumber was extremely unprofessional, lazy, late, mainly wanted to socialize despite being hours behind schedule, left trash and a muddy mess behind in the garage for me to clean up (which is to be expected) but also walked through my house with his work boots on (uninvited) leaving muddy footprints all over my house. read more

However, they came prepared to install the new water heater (earlier than expected), and other than a couple of mishaps and some common obstacles, they made quick work at getting the new water heater installed. They did a great job cleaning up, and the hot water was flowing in no time. The marketing company used by this company is a little unsettling, but in Gardner Plumbings defense it is a popular marketing company with smaller businesses. Clicking on the link that was sent to review the service will redirect to Belize, then to a data collection depot, and finally to a local business site. Make sure to read the privacy policy if you are concerned about privacy or security. Deducted a star for the questionable marketing practices, but for the most part this was a relatively painless experience considering the circumstances. We had a sewage emergency on a Sunday. Called 3 plumbers and no one could come until the next day. Called Gardener Plumbing and they arrived in an hour and fixed the issue which was soft blockage in the main. Joseph and his partner Byron are great. I have to say I was surprised to get a immediate phone call and appointment. My hot water heater broke down on Sunday and Monday was Martin Luther Kings Birthday. I called up the main number and Joseph answered. He asked me to take a picture of my Water heater and set up and told me he would be at my home at 8AM. He arrived at 8 AM with a brand new 75 gallon Water Heater and worked most the day until I had a new water heater installed. They both cleaned up and hauled old unit away. I was so happy with the service and quote that I was given I gave them a little extra because of the time and quality of work they provided. Don't go for this guy. I called for a leaking water heater safety tank and he charged $197 just for diagnostic only, he was only there less than 30 mins. He quoted me $1197. 00 material and labor for the small water heater safety tank & water heater. The following day he had a different story to my husband, the 1197 is only for the small safety tank. We checked at home depot the price for the small tank is less than $60. My husband changed the tank himself. read more

I came home Friday after a long day at work on a HOLIDAY WEEKEND to no hot water. I was left with no choice but to get back into my car and drive to my sister's house to shower. The gas company tech was able to do a temporary fix but we needed a plumber.
