Stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't very busy but the service was kind of slow. The chicken enchilada verdes was good, the Chicken Mole plate was not great, missing depth of flavor in the mole sauce. Restaurant was clean and staff was wearing masks. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The food was well made, presented well, and was delicious. This is a diamond in the rough so I begrudgingly and somewhat selfishly and hesitantly want the world to know (because it's nice having a hidden secret in your neighborhood). Best traditional Mexican food I've had in a long while. Upon learning they were out of a popular beer (which was not a surprise to us because we heard of the shortage prior to going to their restaurant), they presented the news with such poise and care for our experience. Place is very nice inside, we arrived around 530 in the afternoon and there were a few people already there. First time to this place and I'm always looking for something new. We sat and the chips and salsa were very good. We ordered margaritas with Patron. They brought them out in large schooners. I asked for no salt but figured I can deal with it. The margaritas was not good, very little alcohol and completely watered down. We ordered and so got the enchiladas verde and a side of camarones rellenos. When it came out I found a spider in my beans. Immediately I asked for the server. He apologized and took it away. He asked if I wanted anything else. I said I would eat the shrimp. The bacon wrapped shrimp were well over cooked. Dry completely on the ends. Saw our server one other time and I asked for the check. Never saw a manager or anyone else. When we got our bill for two it was almost $60. The margaritas were $16 a piece. Very disappointed and will not return. Beware the beans read more

Solid choice for mexican food in this area of town. Both shrimp and chicken fajitas were good, but the accompanying flour tortillas seemed dry and stiff, not what we are used to. The sides of beans and rice were good, not great. Would probably eat here again, perhaps with different choices from the menu. Worth a try! read more

This place is garbage! Online it says they open at 9am, I put in an order online to pick up at 10am and I also got my confirmation. I got there at 10am and i was told they were barely opening! Best Mexican food by far in northeast Denver. Staff is super responsive and polite. Have never had a problem with them.

Last night, I ordered the seafood soup and I was enjoying my meal until I bit into what I thought was a shrimp tail. After chewing for a while I realized something was wrong, so I took it out of my mouth and unfolded what ended up being this piece of plastic that was in my soup. I was horrified. When I called to let them know, I was very polite, yet the gentleman I spoke to did not even do so much as apologize for my horrible experience. He instead asked why I hadn't left my home and driven all the way back, to bring them back the food. When I stated I would be leaving a review about my experience, he said "Do it," and hung up in my face. Sadly, this was not the only thing, because my brother's meal was burnt, but I couldn't even get to that part. I wouldn't wish this horrible, dehumanizing experience to anyone at all. Finally a hidden gem in Green Valley Ranch. We have nearly no Mexican food in the area. I was so exited to hear Garibaldi had opened near by. I have now been several times and have been impressed every time! I have ordered the combination #1 (smothered bean burrito, chili relleno, and cheese enchilada), steak nachos, fajitas and street taco plate. Everything has been authentic and delicious. Everyone welcomes you with a warm welcome upon entry and the customer service is so great, even with the pandemic. Drinks are okay, could use some work, but does not take away any starts for me! We wanted to support one of our local restaurants for Take Out Tuesday and being lovers of Mexican food decided to try Garibaldi in Aurora. We weren't disappointed. The staff was courteous, the portions were substantial (ended up having leftovers for lunch) and the food was great! It took a little longer than I expected to get our food but it was, after all, Cinco de Mayo and for a restaurant that was doing take out or delivery only, they did a bang up job. We too were very excited when we found out this place was open. We ordered food to go. The steak nachos were not skimpy but the steak was bland and flavorless. The shredded beef chimichanga was great, very flavorful meat. The shredded beef flautas were empty of filling...this was the biggest disappointment. - I was traveling through Denver and staying in a Hotel and ordered dinner on a Saturday evening. When I phoned in, the man that answered the phone was rude and insisted I order a minimum of $30. Ok. I ended up ordering shrimp fajitas and Chilli rellenos along w/chips & guacamole to make the $30. When the food arrived, the delivery driver couldn't make the necessary change, so he ended up getting an unearned tip. The food was HORRIBLE. The shrimp in the fajitas had not been peeled or de-veined, yet had been cooked to a very dry and brittle crisp, as were the tortillas. I have NEVER had unpeeled shrimp served to me before. The Relleno plate was weighted down with old, rancid oil, and there was very little green chilli to cover it. I got the guacamole, but not a chip one to eat it with. I phoned the restaurant to complain, and was greeted by the bartender, who told me that they were Closing in a few minutes and because of that, and the fact that I was from a different town, they would do NOTHING to correct it. Therefore, I would not recommend this restaurant. At a time when customer service should be at it's height, it is unsettling that due to the likelihood that I would not be returning to this restaurant, it was a steering factor in how they handled my complaint and thier complete lack of overall customer service. read more
