There was one Veggie Sub that I could have ordered without cheese, but nobody was able to give me an answer if the bread contained dairy or egg. They also were unable to show me the packaging so that I could read the ingredients. They do offer a "gluten-free" pizza, but for true Celiacs, are unable to confirm that it does NOT come in contact with any gluten. So, safe for anyone who is not a true Celiac and chooses to eat gluten-free. Bonus: Buy 2 slices, get a cola free! Had a great experience at Garibaldi's Italian Eatery. The place has a fun old school vibe and feels like a classic neighborhood pizza spot. It is very casual and welcoming, and it honestly feels like a place that has something for everyone. We ordered the cheese pizza, veggie pizza, mozzarella sticks, and fries and everything came out fresh and satisfying. The pizza was super cheesy and the sides were a great addition. They also have a lot of dessert options, which was a nice surprise. Pretty much the normal fare for a fast-casual Italian experience. Pizzas, beef, subs, and all the fun, greasy delights you could think of in between. I haven't made a huge journey within the menu, but the few things I have had are so tasty. Hot and flavorful melt in your mouth garlic bread, ooey gooey mozz sticks, and solid pizza to boot . The crust not too crispy, cheese well attached and overall great seasonings. The interior is exceptional as well. Murals from the 50s and 60s adorn walls , giving it a classic vibe. Music records, a fish tank and an Elvis statue as well. There are plenty of TV's around, and its generally clean inside, give or take how crazy the lunch rush is. Garibaldi's Italian Eatery has been in Arlington Heights for as long as I can remember. On the night that my husband and I went Garibaldi's was having a dine and share for the John Hersey High School girl's water polo team. They do this a lot supporting local causes. We ordered two slices of pizza, a brownie, and a drink. The pizza was a typical giant New York style with a lot of grease that was hard to eat without plasticware. The brownie was packaged and wasn't very good. I'll give them high marks for supporting the community but not for the food. read more

I really liked the retro vibe. I remember Garibaldi's from hot lunch when I was a child. I think now it is down to two locations. Service was helpful and fast. My son got a slice of pepperoni pizza and they thoughtfully cut it in half so he could eat it easier. Hubby had a hamburger. He pronounced it satisfactory. I got a jr steak and cheese and it was gigantic. The bread was exceptional and I wished I just had more bread! Overall I'd rate this place 3.5 stars. It's safe and moderately priced. Garibaldi's has a nice atmosphere. Casual and family friendly with a 50s diner motif. I saw a lot of people getting pizza, so I'm guessing that's their strong point. Unfortunately, I got a chicken caesar salad ($12.29) and a drink ($2.79) and my chicken caesar salad was full of cucumbers. Yuck! No mention of that on the menu either. The menu description said romaine lettuce, chicken, caesar dressing, croutons, and parmesan cheese. I'd come back here again but I would order something else. What a cool experience at Garibaldi's! There's such an extensive menu, everyone found something they wanted to eat. I loved the (cheesesteak sandwich) Steak and Cheese which is under their Subs section. Delicious tender beef, mushrooms (I added it), and melty mozzarella on a soft roll. There was so much, I had leftovers for 2 days! Others had the steak supreme & it was just as packed filled with ingredients. We also had baked mostaccoli with meat sauce. They didn't skimp on the meat in the sauce and the cheese. The garlic bread was very soft and yet crunchy. The service here is always great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They were super patient when we didn't know what we wanted and were happy to give suggestions. They sell pizzas by the slice as well! They're generous sized slices! The inside of the restaurant is fun with a rock 'n roll decor. There is a nice salt water tank filled with fish that keeps the attention of everyone. They were very friendly and even kind enough to help us carry everything out to the car. We will definitely be using them for future birthday lunches at work. I have been eating at Garibaldi's from back in the day when it was located at Town and Country mall. They have great pizza and subs. I have not had too much else there, but others that have, love everything they've ordered. My wife loves the patty melts, my mom likes the mostacolli, and our son loves the chicken nuggets. We had a Birthday party for our son several years ago and they reserved a large table for his group and let us serve cake that we provided. The kids had a great time and they went out of their way to make this a special event. They even gave him a giant inflatable Inccrdielbe Hulk!! I do miss their seafood sub from the 1980's! Pro tip: they have a honey mustard sauce that's cut with horseradish for a little kick. It's served with their onion rings, so you have to ask for the "onion ring dipping sauce" to get it on the side, but it's SO GOOD. Don't sleep on this place like we did! I've lived in the area for 4 years and my first time here tonight was such a great experience! First of all, the place is well decorated, colorful and clean inside. Customer service gets a 10/10. Brian was so nice and helpful! He learned it was our first time there and made great recommendations for us. He even offered to try their frozen lemonade (which we did, and is a must now every time). Now on to the food, their hot oven grinder was incredible! So flavorful I'm still thinking about it. And portions are HUGE!
