    Garrisons Turkey dinner

First time going here for lunch with a friend. From what I saw portion sizes looked great! I love a good turkey dinner and so I went for it. Total disappointment!! Very obvious the stuffing was boxed. Everything other than the gravy was cold. Mashed potatoes had no flavor, if I didn't know any better I'd say they were boxed as well. Other than the seasoning on the skin of the turkey it wasn't flavor at all. Sadly the only appetizing item on my dish was the carrots. Looks can be very Deceiving, highly recommend not ordering this dish

Went to Garrisons the other night. I had forgotten we have been there before and can't believe I have never reviewed. There is a big bar in one room and dining booths are in a separate room. I can't remember what I got the first time, but I do remember we split an Apple Crisp which was out of this world! It is made to order, and topped with ice cream and loads of whipped cream. We went again the other night. Sat at a cozy booth and ordered a Cosmo. The Cosmo came and something was off. Way off. So I asked the waitress to get me something else and she was happy to accommodate. The second drink was a fruity drink off the specials menu and was delicious. We ordered our entrees which came complimentary with soup. The soup was Turkey vegetable and hit the spot. I was in the mood for both steak and seafood, so I ordered the steak tips and baked scallops. I was a little leery of both as unless the menu says dry scallops you could end up with chemical tasting scallops, but I thought I would try anyway. I never order steak tips but didn't want to order the 14 oz strip steak as I would have never finished it. I asked for rice Florentine as a side. My steak tips were very good and scallops were excellent. I was really impressed with their "breadcrumbs" which were actually cracker crumbs which I prefer anyway over breadcrumbs. The rice was probably the best Florentine I have had. Flavorful, moist and delicious. My entree was very enjoyable and priced at $29.99. My husband got Chicken Parmesan with Penne and said it was very good. Price was $20.99. On our second recent visit, I ordered the same entrée as the first time. The scallops were as delicious as the first time but the steak tips were too well done. The rice was just as delicious as well. My husband got baked haddock which he said was fresh, flaky and delicious with a delicious cracker topping. We did receive bread the second time which is toasted bread with herbs on it. I would have preferred just plain bread as some of the pieces were pretty hard and were pretty hard to eat. We asked if they had the apple crisp and unfortunately, they did not. Maybe next time. All in all, a very, very good experience.

    Great haddock and scallops!!

Came here with a friend who is a regular and had a great time! Got a table in the bar, people are playing Keno, its kinda loud and packed- food must be good! Ordered some cold beers and got an appetizer plate while we talked and decided on what to eat. My local friends ordered the eggplant parmesan -which was very tasty and more than he could eat, and she got the Atlantic Haddock. Both were huge plates- the eggplant parm was fantastic and the fish was as well. .I ordered the haddock with scallops and glad I did. Since I was craving lobster, the scallops were cooked perfect, and the haddock had a nice batter, tender, great white flakey fish. The side was a spinach rice which was buttery and rich- perfect for the dish. With the scallops, my plate was $20- a great value which even makes it better!! Service was on the spot, had quite a few Sam Adams and enjoyed the evening there. For a Thursday night, to be this packed, it has to be one of the go to places in the area. Glad we went, will be back on my next trip to Billerica. Highly recommend

Food was generic at best. Typical boring, unseasoned frozen food. Wouldn't go back.

The outdoor igloo seating seemed like a risky choice (it's only outdoor seating or take out here) but we went for it anyway. You're seated in your own igloo, it was about a 40 degree night and we stayed comfortable keeping our light jackets on. We enjoyed our time and our food eating-in, that we will order from this market again in the future. We both ordered the spicy mango margarita, which tasted very good. I don't think the drinks are made fresh? Can't confirm, but I believe I saw something premixed poured into the glass I was served. We ordered the charred veggie hummus and it was some of the best hummus I've ever tasted. If they're not actually making that stuff fresh they had me fooled, so I will guess that they are. The pita was warm, fresh, and fluffy. We each got one of the bowl entrees -- the steak and a salmon bowl -- the portions were generous and the fresh, veggie forward entree was exactly what was needed for an out-of-town stop (you can only eat so much bar food out here). Overall, I've read the bad reviews and can totally see how this place would be a gamble depending on what you order. But from my experience I had no truly bad remarks, and I would definitely return.

I always try to give credit where credit is due, but this place REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. I ordered a classic burger and the truffle tots and was completely shocked at how bad it was. The patty was dense and bland and had scalloped edges!!! Wtf. Clearly bought from a food service company. And worse, it was completely over cooked. I could have overlooked the industrial patty had the flavor and the burger fixings been good, but unfortunately not. No lettuce, no tomatoes, just a couple of pickles and a sloppy amount of chipotle aioli. I don't think that's a "classic" burger in most people's book. The aioli had SO much chipotle powder in it that it overpowered the entire burger with bitterness. I find a shitty burger to be an unforgivable restaurant sin given how little effort they are to make properly. It's lazy and inexcusable. The tots (which I'll give you, are a slightly more acceptable item to be out of a bag) were so drenched in truffle oil that they were greasy and overpowered by artificial truffle flavor. I also got a piece of cake. How bad does cake have to be for you to toss it after one bite? Pretty stinking bad... it had a weird chemical taste. I feel disrespected as a diner that this market eatery thinks people don't taste the difference between industrial food company food and the real, freshly made thing.

We walked into a comfortable space with a relaxed vibe that never feels generic, the kind of spot where you can settle in for a meal or grab something quickly without the atmosphere working against you. The Vietnamese bowl is the order that brings everything together well. We tried it and the flavors were bright and balanced, leaning into the fresh herb and citrus notes that make Vietnamese inspired food work when the kitchen takes it seriously. The bowl format here gives you enough going on across the components that each bite shifts slightly, which kept the meal interesting from start to finish in a way that a simpler dish would not. The broader menu is worth exploring beyond a single visit. The shakshuka and acai bowl are both good, the smash burger salad is a surprisingly strong order for anyone who wants something more indulgent, and the vegan options are extensive and genuinely well executed rather than feeling like an afterthought. The smoothies are popular for good reason and the coffee holds up as well. Pricing runs on the higher side and the menu does not always list prices upfront on site, which is worth being aware of before you commit to a larger order. Service is generally attentive and fast, though it can vary by location and shift.
