Ordered delivery from Greg's today. We got large boxes of fried clams, rather than the plates. The clams were very fresh and incredibly tasty. Great portion and reasonably priced as far as whole belly clams go. They were delivered professionally and earlier than the ETA. My only issues were that they didn't include any tartar sauce for the clams but more discerning, they charge both a service charge and delivery fee. Both are $3. Why both? Neither goes to the delivery person. I understand one or the other but both? I understand the rising costs so why not just add it to the price of the item? I know they're not the only place doing it but it seems a bit sneaky to me. When I want clams, I will get them there. It's convenient for me and they're very good to boot. read more

We ordered 4 pizzas. A large cheese, a large cheese with pepperoni, a small cheese with mushrooms, peppers, onions and broccoli and finally a small lite cheese with pepperoni, salami and sausage. I had a flyer in my hand when I ordered. The food total came to $56.96 and the 7%, $3.99 tax. Total $60.95. When I paid the bill using my credit card I paid a hair over $61. I thought I must have made an error reading the menu but when I did it again at home I came out with the same price: $60.95. Not a big difference but there shouldn't have been any difference. Next on that flyer were a bunch of promotions. One said "buy 2 get 1 free when you buy any 2-topping pizzas of any size. You get a small cheese pizza or 2liter bottle drink free. I requested the free small cheese pizza and was told the flyers were being replaced and the promotion was no longer valid. I pointed out to the person behind the counter that there was a stack of the same flyer I had with the promotion listed. I said if the promotion was no longer in effect that the flyers shouldn't be sitting on the counter for everyone to take. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she would have the small pizza made and I could have it free as the promotion stated. I was a bit concerned that the small lite cheese pizza appeared to have the normal amount of cheese on it. It looked that way but the woman behind the counter looked at my receipt and said that it was correct. She didn't even check with one of the chefs to see if it was made correctly. My grandson can tolerate a bit of cheese but has digestive issues if there to more than "just a little". In the past he couldn't tolerate any cheese. I will know tomorrow if his 11 year old tummy starts to complain. Finally, I am totally satisfied with the quality of the pizzas. My large group had no complaints (hoping my 11 year old grandson has no issues). I felt the food was well made and prices were reasonable. I did find the small pizzas were a bit smaller than other pizza shops' "small" pizzas but not enough to complain about. This is just a comment so people won't be surprised. So quality was good, but the issue with the promotional flyers needs to be addressed. And I still am not sure why few pennys difference in price between the flyer and the actual. If I were a manager there I would investigate to see if someone is making an error there. Eventually small errors may cost you a customer or many. read more

Greg's is a small pizza shop on the side of Route 38 next to Silver Lake that you should not pass up on your way by. Looks can be deceiving, and Greg's is certainly a testament to that proverb. Greg's is a take-out place much more than a sit-down and eat place (especially considering I'm pretty sure there is no seating inside). When we order from there from work, they always provide us with delicious food for a good price. Their pizzas, most importantly, are well-made and usually do not have bubbles from over cooking. It's some of the tastiest pizza you can get in the area and have never been disappointed with their pizzas. They also provide various other options such as subs, fries, calzones and more. We order from Greg's nearly every Friday night, but tonight will likely be the last time. We put in an online order for delivery. An hour later when it hadn't shown up, my husband called and they said it never printed out and asked if he would like to be refunded, and then they told him it would be 40 minutes to get the pizzas. After 50 minutes went by, he called again and they said it would be another 10 minutes. After 15 minutes, he called again, and they said that they had cancelled his order when they offered a refund when he called the first time. So they left us waiting for over two hours for a dinner that was apparently never going to come and didn't bother to tell us that the two times we called to follow up on the order. Now we have a crying five year old who was excited about pizza and is now up past his bedtime. We now have to find something else for dinner because we don't have time to cook something. I love their pizza and roast beef and love that they have gluten free, but this is absolutely ridiculous. When we got the order home and opened it, we had one box of half clams and half strips. The other box had 3 whole clams and the rest was only strips. They were dry and rubbery. I've had Greek salads with grilled chicken, I've had steak salads with feta cheese and the works whatever you ask for. And the most recent salad that I had that was absolutely out of this world was what they call the mix Grill salad. This was a salad of mixed greens and had steak, grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. The prices are unbelievably great. I'm talking a salad with lots of steak, lots of chicken, and some grilled shrimp as well a large salad for 1195. The quality of the food and the prices make Greg's absolutely and a possible place to beat in the area. The restaurant was clean and appealing. There is a large orchid and a display of brownies greeting the customers as they approach the 5 screens of menus items. The offerings are extensive! It was well air conditioned and the TV for customers to watch was silent. We had bought some roast beef and onion rings with beverages from the cooler. Someone had just stocked the drinks and so they hadn't gotten cold yet. I asked the women at the front counter if we could get cups and ice. Realizing that our sodas must have been warm, she went through all the sodas in the fridge to see if any in the back were cold. She didn't have any ice, but offered us a cold two liter in exchange. This was a nice gesture and I appreciated the effort. The onion rings were hand made. You can tell when they come out of a frozen bag. Usually my complaint with hand made onion rings is that the batter isn't flavorful and that the onions get too burnt. These concerns were unfounded with these. Also the portion size was large. See picture. The roast beef was good. I think they pressed it in a panini grill a little. That actually helped make it easier to hold and eat! The BBQ sauce was a little spicier than most of the other roast beef sauces that I have had but it was very good. The toppings were fresh and tasty. I had cheese, onions and tomatoes. The only downsides is that there was no place for napkins, a place to put our tray or a trash can. We had to ask for napkins, left our tray at our table, and had to go outside to the picnic tables to throw our trash away. Maybe it does far more take out than sit in service? First off, the food is great. Never had a bad meal BUT, I gave it a low rating because of several incidents. The 3rd time we ordered from them we were at a friend's house in North Billerica. When the order was called in we were told they don't deliver to North Billerica. The delivery menu they mail out states they "deliver to Wilmington, Tewksbury & Billerica." NO EXCEPTIONS ARE LISTED. North Billerica is part of Billerica. Yesterday we called in an order for delivery. After 40 minutes it hadn't arrived. I called back & they told me I had ordered for pick up. I had 3 witnesses that I clearly stated delivery. He said you ordered pick up because she didn't ask for your address. I didn't think anything of it because in the past when i order delivery they didn't ask for my address & when I went to give was told the have it, so I didn't question her not asking. Our total order came to $36.46 which included tax & $2.50 delivery fee. We were charged $40.36. Weren't sure if that included a tip so we gave a tip. I will never order from Greg's again. The chances are slim, but I might drop in & get something because the food is good, But I will never order delivery from them. Too bad they just lost six customers. read more
