We had the salesman come to our home in Boca Raton and we just had new hurricane windows and doors installed. Back in December 2024 the salesman spent about 2 hours with us! We wanted blinds for 8 windows and 5 sliding doors. The sales person quoted price of $3,400 (not a small order) We went though the holiday and by end of January 2025 we still have not heard about or blinds. My wife called the number on our order sheet and after a run around and about 30 minutes waiting they found our order. They said that it was delayed at the port due to the holiday! Finally on 2/29/2025 we got a text from their installer! They were coming to install. I wasn't home and my wife let Andres in to do the work! If it wasn't for Andres (the installer). I would have sent any other installing back to the warehouse! Andres installed our blinds everything was great but two (the kitchen window and the sliding glass door off the kitchen) were not the right size. So back to the warehouse they went. Another month went by and no call. I text Andres and he said I needed to contact the store. I called there to find out Gabriel (not the owners son) either left or was fired !! Collette McHale Window Treatment Division Manager Capitol Carpet & Tile and Window Fashions got on the phone and said our new blinds were stuck at the shipping yard. This took another month to find out when Andrea arrived the blind for the kitchen slider was broken ! Finally after all the BS and lies March 20, 2025 we got all the blinds we originally ordered back in December 2,2024 Over 4 months is ridiculous to have to wait for this project! Plus to add insult to injury the people at Capitol Carpet & Tile and Window Fashions charged my credit card for the final payment without telling me, plus no discount for our problems and the TV commercial says they will call us to see how the install went. WE NEVER GOT A CALL ! Seems like Capitol Carpet & Tile and Window Fashions only wants and needs the money! Before they have to shut their doors !! He was patient enough to let me make up my mind as I listened to other offers and compared quotes. And when I settled on Empire he immediately helped me schedule the installation. Getting the job done was flawless. Vanessa, who orchestrated the installation from Empire central, is quite good at keeping you informed, and maintaining the installed and me in constant contact as they made their way to my property for installation. They even called me when the installers picked up the materials to let me know they would soon be on the way to the property after another stop! The team in charge of the installation, led by Oscar Silvestre, was also incredibly profession, friendly, and knowledgeable. They did a job that years prior had taken installers an entire day in only half with double the quality of the previous installers.
