I began going because I experienced severe shoulder pain after a car accident, he is an expert at finding exactly which spot is in pain and is able to alleviate the pressure almost immediately. I have been a patient of Dr. Martin for 4 years now and can't live without his services. I have always had neck, shoulder, upper and lower back pain...largely due to stress, tension, (admittedly) a weak core, and arthritis. His massage therapist offers a wonderful addition to treatment, and although some of the deep tissue "moves" can be a little tender, I always come out with a lot of improvement. I recently moved from Northern Cal to Irvine. After an upper body workout, I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp pain in my ribs. I was referred to Dr. Gary Martin by a friend recently due to back pain that iv'e been having. He was able to get me in the next day, and once I arrived at his office, I was immediately greeted by his warm and friendly staff. He came out, offered me some water and off we went for the dreaded x-rays. He was very professional and efficient in meeting my needs (I was in a lot of pain). X-rays took about 10 minutes, we did a quick consult and he gave me one of the best adjustments I have ever had. I felt instant and immediate gratification and felt about 70% better afterwards. He gave me some home exercises I can do to help manage the pain until I see him again and let me tell you...it was so nice to walk again without feeling the pain I was experiencing prior to my visit with him. We moved down to Irvine in November, leaving behind our beloved chiropractor. We tried one office in Irvine, but it wasn't a good fit for us. Then, my wife discovered Dr. Martin. She had a great experience and referred them to me as well. I've been to see Dr. Marin a number of times, and he's great! The office is clean and tidy (with great background music), there's complimentary bottled water. The office runs smoothly - I've never had to wait long for my appointment, and often, if I arrive early, I'm able to get in and out of the office before my appointment time even arrived! Last week, I tweaked my back in a major way and called Dr. Martin's office for a last-minute appointment. They were able to see me the same day. Dr. Martin is effective in his treatment, and he always takes the time to talk to me about the specifics of my discomfort. I went to Dr. Martin with terrible back pain from an equestrian accident. His staff was very helpful in getting me in to see him right away. He was very thorough with his exam and history taking to make sure I got the right care. He treated me with his laser as well as with adjustments which helped to decrease the swelling. I also saw his massage therapists that see you before the Doctor so your adjustment is even more effective. When I first saw Dr. Martin I was hunched over and could not straighten up my back, after seeing him for 4 months I can now walk with my spine straight and have good posture again and no pain! When my sons were 3, 6 and 9 I took them to Dr Martin hoping he could relieve their asthma symptoms and dependence on their rescue inhalers, steroids and other meds. Didn't even have a chance to visit this Dr. I called to try to see if they would accept my insurance. The receptionist said I have to come in for the appointment, at that point is when they would verify. When I asked what the first available date was, the receptionist told me that it would be Monday. So essentially, I have to take a day off to find out if my insurance covers; then if it does, it would be a bill credit. Tell me how that helps me in anyway shape or form. It would have helped if the receptionist was more customer friendly on the phone.
