I told her that rye is gluten and she said "it's your fault. You didn't tell me you wanted gluten free bread". I told her we just had a whole conversation about celiac. So she took the plate away. 5 min later offered more coffee and when I said no she scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I asked to cancel the order because she obviously doesn't take precautions and said that the kitchen would bring a fresh plate, which they did. She also said "I'm not gluten free. How was I supposed to know?" I took two bites and immediately realized the food was off. She took my coffee off the bill and said "good luck to you". Absolutely horrendous service and woman.

Lastly, I got a hot cider and it was literally the packets you can buy 8 at the grocery store for $3 and the cup was $4. The base of the mountain is significantly lacking in breakfast items but this was definitely our worst experience.

Iron Horse has a number of TVs that show various sporting events. The pizza options on the menu looked good, so order a MOB Pizza with a beer. I like to try the local beers whenever I visit a new town and Iron Horse had a selection of local Colorado beers on tap. Iron Horse Tap had a nice crowd on hand and ended up being a solid first stop for us on this trip to Crested Butte.
