We heard raving reviews about secret stash so it was a must try. We asked to be seated at the outdoor patio which they warned us was communal, but it wasn't an issue since our party took most of the table and we enjoyed chatting with our neighbors alongside us and even shared pizza slices. The butterfly effect pizza was really great and has a beautiful color. Only downside is that the server forgot my drink so I just canceled the order since we were leaving. And she was a bit distracted flirting with her coworker. Also, they just started using red curry for paste which we found interesting. We used it for dipping sauce. Great pizza!! The atmosphere is fun, with lots of great decor and plenty to look at. I ordered the Hamptons Pizza, which was excellent. Lots of shaved Parmesan, arugula, and prosciutto. The crust was amazing. I also shared with friends who ordered the Caprese and some wings. The food was super quick, which was great since we were hungry. I ordered a frozen lemonade drink, which was also good, but kind of ordinary considering the price. I would definitely go back! The service was really good. This place is an absolute gem. We were just in Crested Butte for a couple nights. We kept seeing people walking around with Secret Stash pizza boxes. So, I looked them up and was pretty impressed with the reviews. We decided to try it out on our last night. The reviews are for real. This place is fantastic. When you walk in, the vibe is great. My family loves visiting Crested Butte and every time we visit, we stop at Secret Stash. The pizza has the best crust explosively crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Their pizzas are very unique and every one I've tried is just amazing. My go to is the Notorious F.I.G., hand down the best. I remember when the Secret Stash was down the street in a little house with seating up in the attic on pillows. This is our second review of an old friend. The Secret Stash is a must stop for us on every visit to Crested Butte and every dinner is a marvel of discovery. On this visit we ordered The Hamptons which is completely off piste (bada bing! for the skiing reference!) for a traditional pizza lover. With nary a drop of tomato in sight, The Hampton features an EVO sauce on a lemon pepper crust and is topped with a mix of mozz, parm and prosciutto and garnished with arugula and a lemon crown. We could not have been more delighted. These ingredients mesh into a piquant velvet run through culinary knee deep powder. As usual, we paired our meal with the Big Ass Marg and Gin and Tonics. Good pizza crust is what makes this place. We sat at the pizza bar and watched the cooks put together the pizzas in a fast orderly manner. Then I noticed that they used an oven with a conveyor belt to time the cooking of the pizzas. Every other pizza place that I have visited that uses a conveyor system the pizza was "Meh" at best. Not this place. Someone in this establishment has figured it out and I believe it is probably the recipe for the crust, which was not just good, but great. We got pizza pickup from The Secret Stash for lunch one day while in Crested Butte. We got the Pinhead Pesto pizza and the Where's the Beef? pizza. My favorite by far was the Where's the Beef? It has an olive oil base, light mozzarella, minced garlic, red onions, mushrooms, black figs, asiago cheese, fresh basil, and is topped with balsamic reduction & truffle oil. We had an appetizer too, but I've forgotten what it was; the 2 pies took a while to make, so the app and beers kept us occupied while we admired the decor. The Biggie did not disappoint; I was in hog heaven, as they say. My wife thought that the fig was okay, and personally, the added arugula didn't help. While driving down the main street in Crested Butte, The Secret Stash Pizzeria looked like the happening place to be! If there is ever a time to overload on some carbs it's in Crested Butte. Tons of outdoor activities that burn lots of calories! Everyone is hiking, biking, or skiing here. We sat outside and brought our dog with us. They had water bowls under the tables for the dogs. We also had our kids with us, and they do have a kid's menu too, plenty of highchairs. We got the Texas biggin pizza and garlic bread. We all really liked this pizza! The crust that they make is very good. The garlic bread was classic exactly what you expect! I love that they have menu that shows what all their specialty pizzas look like. I also really liked about this place is the very unique decor for a pizza place, very worldly, it added to the character of the place. They've got plenty of seating both inside and outside. Our pizza had a lemon crown on top and when we took our first slice and placed it in the plate sans lemon, our server promptly told us to squeeze that lemon on our pizza, and I will never forget her for the pro tip. The pizza was incredible from the first bite all the way to the crust . . . The Parmesan crust was like having dessert. I would have liked to see more NA options beyond slushies; a warm concocted booze-free beverage would have been much appreciated. We started with the fried pickle spears which were the best fried pickles I've ever had. Perfectly crispy with great flavor. Would highly recommend. For pizza, we had a large Spicy Wais. I can't say it was our favorite pizza - too garlicky for my husband and I was not a fan on the whole cherry tomatoes (hello hot liquid bombs) but it was baked well and the crust is as top notch. Excellent service, and the BEST pizza I have had outside of NY/CT. I consider myself something of a pizza snob because of growing up in CT, and I'm often homesick for it living in Colorado. We had a great time here! We came here on a Saturday evening after skiing. We took the bus into town so we didn't have to worry about parking but very close to the bus stop. We were able to put our name in around 6pm for 9 people and it was about an hour wait. Once our table was ready we were led downstairs to a very fun large couch table.
