    BLAT
    Emily C.

I stopped by and unfortunately was a bit too late for the famous breakfast sandwiches. I got a BLAT to go. I probably didn't order the best, but this was a cool spot, will have to come back for a breakfast sandwich next time I'm in town! Love the idea.

    Groovin' Reuben
    Tiffany A.

Stopped here for a late lunch and split two sandwiches - Groovin Reuben and the Bird Flew; each sandwich came with a side of straight or curly fries. I'm not a huge fan of Reuben's personally but someone in our party said it might have been the best Reuben they'd ever had! I got the Bird Flew and was overall unimpressed - I didn't think the chicken tasted too great nor the avocado (that weird taste with an old avocado?). The curly fries were tasty. Overall everything was a little greasy and heavy to me but was a fine amount of food to split between four people for a late lunch. As far as ambiance, definitely a local spot! We were going to sit outside and were there a few minutes until someone came out and said there are seven dogs living upstairs and could come down at any moment, then we noticed all the dry poop outside and moved inside.

The working man classic burger with curly fries- YUM
    Jessie Elizabeth J.

The Working Man burger was SO good! Fresh toppings, fresh juicy burger, great bun. Curly fries are very crispy. I haven't had a solid burger like this on a road trip in a long time. The staff were super friendly and chill too. What a unique concept; the gas station with a full restaurant! They stock good quality grab and go snacks and beer too, even cbd drinks for people who don't drink like me! Don't even question it you have to check them out.

Delicious and definitely the cheapest lunch spot in town! Got a BLT and fries for $10.70! People were also very friendly.

Best breakfast sandwich ever. We stopped for coffee and decided to eat. We all had McStops. Bonus that the cook was from Ohio!

Attentive service kept the meal flowing. We started with Camp 4 Coffee as both a drip and espresso and could not have had a better way to start breakfast. Or so we thought. We saw several of the other tables having the Bloody Mary and we jumped in head first - Paradise's Bloody was the perfect eye opener for a day on the slopes. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the #4 which is two eggs, hot Polish sausage and a pancake (served with optional REAL maple syrup - frankly, faux maple syrup is an abomination that needs to be banned in all 50 states!) The dishes were delicious, portions were generous, and we could not have been more pleased . Next time we will try the Huevos Rancheros which neighboring tables were tucking into with great abandon. We are regulars at McGills but are very pleased to have discovered Paradise which is now part of our breakfast rotation in Crested Butte.

Fearful of what I might find here, as small, resort locales often possess oligopolistic control…read moreover pricing and quality, I ventured through the door at McGill's, a local staple, and ordered the Great American breakfast. The quality of ingredients and preparation were all spot on. Bacon was triple crispy as I requested. Hash browns were made with butter, as I insisted. Eggs were cooked perfectly, neither rubbery nor slimy. Magnificent was the French toast. Served as something resembling a German log roll, it was crispy on the outside, tasty throughout, and yet remained free from being bread-y. I savored every bite of this, a real highlight. You can substitute this for the muffin for a $2 fee or thereabouts. Do that, and you won't be disappointed. Two areas that could be improved: the pancake syrup, and while it tasted fine, was definitely corn syrup based and low quality. I humbly think that the owner could easily charge $1.75 more and offer the real thing. Further, the orange juice wasn't great, acceptable, but far from a real fresh squeezed caliber. The hostess forced me to sit at the bar when tables were open. Fortunately for me, a spectacularly responsive and friendly other server rescued me, provided me a table and provided the utmost in service for a breakfast styled establishment of this ilk. She was also food knowledgeable as her husband and her own one of the truly great restaurants in town, further down the street on Elk Avenue. Pricing was just right. Location is fantastic as well. I plan to return, but may bring my own syrup and orange juice. Thumbs up for McGill's.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. This thing was so fresh tasting, there's no way it was prepared from being frozen. Full of quinoa, corn, etc. super duper delicious remoulade on a really good gourmet bun. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. There's lovely tables and chairs under the trees that are clean and stocked with napkins and hand sanitizer. A really nice break in our trip!

They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!

We had an important family event and chose this restaurant as our family dinner to celebrate. I mentioned in our reservation that this event was a special occasion and we were sat at a beautiful, intimate table with complementary shots at the end of dinner as a congratulations - We were very grateful for this hospitality. We were disappointed due to the quality of service and food. We felt we hardly saw our server and did not get refills/ service as we had hoped and spent a lot of time waiting. It was a Friday night, however we had a later reservation and the restaurant was not as busy by that time... When our meal came out, it was delivered to our table by another employee and when we said "thank you!" feeling excited to try our food, the person did not make eye contact or even acknowledge anyone at the table...? For dinner we were recommended the ribs and were extremely disappointed. They were so dry and tough and did not end up getting eaten. The chicken was phenomenal but felt that the rest of the sides were subpar. At a minimum of $50 a person, we expected excellent service and food...

The service was interesting they were there checking on us quite a bit but not our waitress, she disappeared for most of the meal. I definitely still love going to the old restaurant, brings back the old style family dining and heritage of the area.
