On top of that, I also needed to bring my sometimes hard to deal with, but very well intentioned, father along for the ride. Needless to say, we aren't the easiest of clients to deal with: we have tons of questions, are kinda skeptical of people's motives, and prone to getting emotional under stress. (Hey - at least I know myself, right?). When I found my dream house, Peter expertly navigated us through dealing w/ multiple offers, explaining to us all our options and helping us settle on an offer (and counter offer.... and backup offer...) that we felt comfortable with. He helped keep our emotions under control, and made sure we had the most competitive offer possible within our means and risk tolerance. This took a ton of time to "get us there" - countless hours on the phone, careful explanation of contracts and random clauses, and all for a pretty small deal in the realm of things. The previous reviewer categorized this care and attention to detail as being a "know it all," but for us - it was a godsend. We never felt in the dark about what we were signing or where we were in the process. We always knew where we stood and what were our chances of winning. Throughout the inspection / appraisal / disclosure process - Peter's expertise continued to shine. Again, as a first time buyer, I didn't know what to look out for. He was always present, pointing things out to me in the house, giving me advice, and advocating on my behalf when it was time to ask the sellers for concessions. If there were ever any bumps in the road - Peter was proactive in taking care of things, often knowing what was going on before I did. When my lenders were caught in red-tape BS, he aggressively handled the situation, so that I wouldn't have to. Overall, I couldn't recommend Peter highly enough. There's no way we would have gotten our house without his help in educating us about the market, the process, and fighting for our best interest throughout the transaction. He was patient, kind, and transparent the entire time, so much so that my boyfriend and I joke whenever we have a life question, we should just call Peter to work it out. We will definitely work with him again in the future.

Apparently being a former attorney allows him to be a "know it all", insisting he knows whats best for his client, which in our case almost jeopardized the whole transaction. I would recommend you do your research and ask other agents in the area about his "unfriendly" and poor reputation. We do not question his knowledge, but his repoire with other agents and clients are severely lacking. You can definitely find a better real estate agent.

After recently purchasing a condo where Tami Humphrey was the sellers agent, I'm left feeling…read moreexhausted and disappointed by her unprofessionalism, communication delays, and failure to address agreed-upon inspection items. Throughout the process, there were several delays due to her team not obtaining essential financial documents from the HOA for our lender. We had to take matters into our own hands and even escalate the situation to her supervisor at Palm Realty to get the necessary tasks completed, especially when she was often unavailable. If I wanted to handle the entire transaction myself, I wouldn't have needed an agent taking a percentage. During the initial walkthrough, after she assured us all inspection items were resolved, we discovered leaking showers, unaddressed bathroom fixtures, poor patch jobs, and a mess left behind by her stagers, who also put holes in the walls and left without cleaning up. To make matters worse, her stagers damaged the front door of the building, denied it, and only the HOA's security footage confirmed it. I'm not sure who she selects to work for her but we even found the sliding door handle was broken and "repaired" up with callking a day after moving in. The rugs used for staging were also concealing floor scratches, which we had already noted in the inspection report. Throughout the process, Tami's unwillingness to apply herself to a smooth transaction was concerning. I could really go on, but I think the lack of work ethic and aversion to professional responsibility I witnessed was breathtaking. I've purchased homes in many states but I would definitely say this transaction was the worst I have seen anywhere. Working with her and her team was, to put it mildly, unpleasant. My advice to anyone would be to pay close attention to every detail, or you might end up with a home that doesn't feel as new and pristine as you expected.
