Only odd moment was seeing a waitress outside smoking between table visits. Just felt a little out of place these days. The biggest surprise was the salad bar. Not just salad--soups, wings, even shrimp sitting out. It looked impressive, but also like a bit of a gamble. With a vacation coming up, I passed on anything risky. The place itself could use some attention. Christmas decorations in April and plastic plants everywhere give it a worn, outdated feel. Food was good. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. Just solid. I would have liked a bit more seasoning while they were cooking, but a bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. My coworker got the big breakfast but subbed out the homefries for corned beef hash. While I'm not a fan of corned beef hash, it looked exactly like how my mom and grandfather like it, with a little bit of crisp to it. The pancake was huge and he said his over medium eggs were cooked exactly like he hoped they would be. Now I just need to plan out my flights so I can come get breakfast here again and try one of the sandwiches, or omelettes, or maybe get French toast again...
