This establishment is a hidden gem for visitors. You're immediately greeted when walking thru the door she's so pleasant and very helpful makes you feel at home. The food is top notch. I did the veggie omelet with home fries! Wow! Felt like home. While sitting in anyone walked through the door felt like family! She knew everyone, their kids, their lifestyle and it's comforting! The place is quite clean, the menus were not sticky(lol) been on the road lately come across a few diners that didn't choose to wipe them off. Mixed group of patronages which shows me they're really good and the prices were very reasonable somewhat like down south pricing! If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely come by for breakfast! read more

What an absolute hidden gem. Originally was trying to go to Riverwinds, but they weren't open yet. Found this diner on Yelp and it did not disappoint. It is a smaller place (old train car...cool) and we showed up with a family of 6. The manager helped get us the only table that would accommodate. Service: A+ Food: A (would've rated higher, but we all got simple omelettes. Scrapple was cooked perfectly. Value: A+ Ambiance: A If you're in the area, definitely go. read more

We did the Heart Walk and wanted breakfast afterward, and I-saw all of the good reviews on Yelp so we decided to come here. The chocolate chip pancakes were just OK and the yucky orange juice was from a big store bought gallon of it. Rip off! At least Joey really liked his pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. The eggs were so good and the winner of the show (I had a side scrambled). The whole staff is exceptionally nice and accommodating. When the owner (?) knew it was our first time dining there, he gave me a complementary quart of cabbage soup because he heard me saying that I had never tried it before. So sweet! I gave it to my dad and he said it was very good but not spicy enough. My mom loved it. I wish I could give a better review, but I'm always honest. read more

The service was beyond phenomenal, everybody appeared to be in great moods while working. The only suprise for me was the actual size once you walk in but that doesn't matter as long as the food and service are too notch and they were ! Food was amazing and hot. It's New Jersey. It's a diner. It's perfectly competent at the old diner testament of breakfast, burgers and sandwiches. The surf and turf is probably a bridge too far but my omelette was substantial and well prepared as was the turkey club I had on another occasion. If you enjoy a bare bones Jersey diner as I do, the Paulsboro iteration is right out of the minimalist diner school offering maximalist service as a welcome bonus. Five easy stars. read more

We usually only eat at places that are well rated by some search engine and we found this diner. We ate there 4 times and were only in town for a week. The staff is very friendly and responsive and the service is spot on. The food was excellent. I did not care for the pancakes but there was nothing wrong with them, just a little puffy for me. The omelette and the French toast was wonderful. Needless to say that we will eat there again when in the area. read more

Why can't the rest of the world do diners like Jersey? This is such a terrific little place, great food, really nice folks!! I got the "philly" cheesesteak- just to prove that Philadelphia does NOT have a monopoly on how to really do it right. She got the Greek salad, and (kind of repeating myself here) - why is it so hard to find a great Greek salad outside the walls of a genuine Jersey diner? Atmosphere: We met around lunch time, and it wasn't too crowded. The outside is a small building that resembles the size of a trailer. There are about 10 booths and a bar but no tables. It's definitely a local favorite. Coffee: The coffee was brewed hot and fresh. However, they didn't have whipped cream. It appeared they didn't have any desserts which would make sense. Food: The menu at the Paulsboro diner is that of a typical restaurant. Since they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they have a smaller menu and don't have desserts or big entree platters. We went between the holidays and was probably still full on holiday cookies. I decided to order something lighter and one of my favorites: a Greek salad with chicken. It came with free soup, and they had one of my favorite types: lentil. The lentil soup was one of the best I've had. It was hot and fresh. The Greek Salad was decent. There were a lot of salad greens, but not enough toppings and the dressing left a lot to be desired. They didn't have a lot of salad dressing options (all I wanted was a greek or balsamic dressing) and they handed me dressing packets instead of in a cup. There was plenty of chicken was great. Service: Our waitress was extremely friendly and made sure we had plenty of refills, plus our food came out quickly. Overall Thoughts/Would I come back? I enjoyed the Paulsboro Diner, and it was a nice surprise in the area. I'll be back! read more

We stopped at the Paulsboro Diner while driving through and were very happy we did! This is a small, family run diner with a great homey atmosphere, good food, and friendly, courteous staff. Prices were good, too! The owners took an interest in how the patrons were doing, and were extremely personable "real" people who enjoy their business and value their customers. We will definitely stop in the next time we are in the area. read more

My son took us to breakfast Saturday morning, cautioning us it not fancy and its small. well let me tell you the PAULSBORO DINER was small but the breakfast was big. the ambiance was great as was the staff. I thought I'd try to support local businesses , boy was I so much disappointed. The food was good but something really wrong happened I'd say an hour and a half later I and another person who ate the food from this diner had a real bad diarrhea. I'm talking soft ice cream chocolate consistency oozing shit coming out of us. So never again , not if that is the last diner on planet earth. I was passing gas next thing I know this was sadly what occurred. read more

OMG, excellent service and food was outstanding! We're from Georgia, and staying locally, because of a family medical emergency! I chose the Paulsboro Diner based on reviews I read on Yelp, and being convenient to where we are staying! We were NOT disappointed! We will be making this our second home, when we're not at the hospital! Family owned, not a National chain, like Waffle or Huddle House type diners! And the menu selections were amazing! On our way from Philadelphia to Va we found this true diner gem. We had homemade soup (beef barley and a bowl of chicken noodle). It was definitely homemade and delicious. My husband had a tuna melt sandwich which he really liked served with fries. I had a garden salad with tuna fish and feta cheese and oil and vinegar on the side. It was a lot of food for the money. The whole bill came to $20... Inexpensive and yummy. The place is definitely not fancy... A real diner. Our waiter was wonderful too. So courteous and trying f to please. . First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!
