When asked by text how is your stay, I let them know but nothing came of it. I went to the front desk, they are sold due to Memorial weekend. I asked for the shower to cleaned, which didn't help with the mold build up. Then later in the afternoon on my 3rd day stay a room became available. I asked to see it first before moving. The shower had missing caulking all around and mold build up as well. Needless to say the staff was polite but the rooms are in need to repairs and no amount of cleaning is going to help without updates. Hilton is huge company and unfortunately in smaller demographic areas like Rifle it doesn't matter to big businesses.

They were just cheap, argumentative, and irrational. After haggling for way too long, the manager finally agreed to provide us a suitably-sized room, but "just this once." WTF? This was appalling customer service. I'll add that this is a dated Holiday Inn with run-down rooms and amenities, and without a working pool. The Wi-fi could have been stronger but seriously for the price this was a life saver as were the super comfy beds upon which we had the best night's sleep we've had in ages. Full kitchen was sparsely appointed and that would be a drag longer term but we were in late and out early and grateful for a fridge to hold leftovers until we reheated for breakfast. It's a quick bike ride into the attractions of town (great coffee shop- see reviews) and right on/ off the freeway but still has a remote feeling and great views. Our sole purpose was to visit the ice caves of Rifle and Western Star Inn was perfect, because this was just that place where we'd sleep and leave out the door early morning. Western Star Inn had breakfast all the way until 11:00am, that we took advantage of! It was mostly a continental breakfast style, filled with snacks and no drinks. We got hard boiled eggs, laughing cow cheese, apples, yogurt etc., and out the door we go for adventure. We did get a coupon for 15% off for the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, and we also slept very comfortably in our beds. Overall a really pleasant stay. We got to make friends with Laura (or Lauren?) front desk reception and her husband. We thought their customer service was splendid. They just moved from Washington, which is another state I truly want to visit.

Yelling, fighting, running around, throwing luggage down the hall, running, stomping, bouncing off the walls, cussing at other guests from 9pm to 6am. Expedia also won't do anything. Room was subpar, but that was to be expected for the price. The room door lock didn't work, our keys didn't work and we had to get help multiple times, the bathtub and sink didn't have stoppers, we had to ask for clean towels multiple times before we finally got them, continental breakfast was oatmeal and cereal but no accessories or anything else. This is not convenient for people who are on vacation, and paying for the use of such amenities. Not impressed at all.
