***** UPDATE: Dr. Warsh claims I treated his staff inappropriately... nothing I said in my review was untrue , I tried to to be as honest and even handed as possible... I have never mistreated anyone in his practice... multiple staff members? He doesn't even have that many staff members or providers? He is lying to make what he did sound less offensive-- to try and make it sound like i deserved to be kicked out if his practice and it's just simply not true. Maria and I have a good relationship and dr. Kalstein is still my dr...My son has dozens of drs and therapists, I would not get anything in this world accomplished for him if I was not kind to his providers and staff. I As for prescribing things he felt uncomfortable with, that's fine ... but i asked for betaine - which is actually an over the counter supplement! I just wanted it compounded at a lower safer dose. I also told him that I wouldn't ask for anymore RX since he wasnt comfortable... but I still just wanted someone nearby for regular pediatrician stuff. The fact that he is trying to make the mishandling of this case sound like MY fault with false accusations of mistreating staff speaks volumes to his integrity. He is right about one thing-- he is not the right dr for my family. ORIGINAL POST: Really disappointed in what I hoped would be a great dr for my son who has a rare genetic condition. We had a wonderful integrative dr, Pejman katerai Im Santa Monica. However the drive was becoming cumbersome so I was thrilled to see this office open up down the street from me last year. I called and explained my sons case/-it's complicated--so it needs someone who can really handle it--Dr. Warsh assured me he could and happily took my son as a patient. One thing I explicitly told him in that initial phone call was that my son has severe GI issues and I need a ped who really gets that... I didn't want to just be referred to another western med GI doc... at that point I had been to five and was battle weary. He told me he understood and was ready to help. As the year went on it became apparent that my sons case was indeed too complicated for him -- and that's ok - I'm not sure we will ever find a dr who can truly help us ... but I was just happy to have someone nearby who could follow his growth, do ear and strep checks and fill the ocasional rx without me having to drive to Santa Monica. I recently asked him to refill a medication dr. Katerai had prescribed to us and my son had been on for many years. His response? I'll refill it once, and I think you need to find another pediatrician. He kept telling me what he would do if it were his child, implying that I wasn't doing the best for my son by not being at CHLA. Gimme a break we were at CHLA FOR YEARS owhen my son was little -- not one dr there ever helped him in the way the others I have pounded the pavement to find have. He has no idea what it's like to have a child with so many complications...how dare he presume to know what's best? . I told him I wouldn't ask him for any more rx but that I would still like to be his patient as I need a pediatrician close by. With all my sons other appts and therapies, it's nice to have someone nearby to do regular ped stuff. He essentially said no and told me to leave his practice. Super disappointed to add him to the long list of drs that have failed my son. He said what he needed to get a new client when his practice was brand new... but now that he's busier I guess he didn't want to deal with us. Beyond his manner in this scenario the only tangible thing he ever did to help us was refer us to the naturopath he shares his office with. I was hesitant to write this review, however I felt imply to do so. first of all if you're going to visit this doctor and they have you Docusign please read carefully before you sign they're really aggressive (in charges and fees!! )I had to get this done, a physical for my son he has a wonderful group of Pediatricians in Sherman Oaks but due to the fact that they doing a fundraiser for my son's school at Notre Dame High School and contributing to our athletic department they were very busy so I was late to file my son's physical exam so I decided to give this Doctor warsh a try since some parents in our community said he was taking appointments well it took me 2 weeks trying to get ahold of this doctor call him more than 3 times and never get a call back I've also left a couple of messages.I chose to do it one more time and the doctor picked up the phone in a very casual manner like "hello?" I thought I got the wrong number then I explained the doctor that I was trying to make appointment for over sometime and nobody picks up the phone he said not sure WHY ."you can come in" and he took my appointment felt odd but I was happy that I was able to get my son appointment . 2 hours before my son's appointment I get bombarded by these emails highlighted in Orange and neon yellow colors having me sign a bunch of documents which I am not sure if I'm doing the right thing by giving them my signature and lot of personal questions so I stopped doing that. My son came home from school we walked there , nice building and when we walked into their reception desk we were like nobody came into the door that from desk lady Maria looked at us whilst on the phone completely ignores us ,she you didn't even greeted us and continue on the phone ,we where there for a while,the only people there . I'm standing in front of her she's on the phone talking staring at me and I asked her ., it's at me you talk to? because I was completely ignored with her attitude she didn't even apologize for being in the phone. Long and the doctor came and ask us to come over to start rushing my son give me a paper and it said I didn't sign all the documents because I wasn't sure what I signing t and I need Some explanation doctor said let's go get started with your son, you sign later .it was the most unprofessional experiencing in my life with the doctor my son was there for not even 15 minutes and then the exam was done my son a was also very rushed . He Usher us to the front desk to Maria to have me sign this papers and I said well I need to know what the fees are For this"membership"( concierge administrative $300 fees ) let me explain said doctor because photo copies and paperwork" all doctors are doing it now". something really fishy to me then I go to the front and Maria is demanding that I leave a credit card on file she wants me to give her my credit card and get a copy and put it in file in case something doesn't cover by my insurance i said I am sorry but I not comfortable with that immediately Tri gave me an attitude walked away like a5 year old to complain to the doctor very unprofessional with an attitude saying she's the front desk manager but she's the only person the doctor has in his Clinic apparently doctor aide nurse / front desk manager receptionist that he stole from children's hospital he said! Like a Cheesy line from convincing car salesman ! I told the doctor once again I was not going to give him my credit card if he needed it for the future well I will not be there in the future and I am sure my insurance will cover 100% for my son's physical examination so that he didn't have to worry about additional payments that insurance will not cover. Obviously the doctor said well maybe this is not clinic for your son you don't have to leave the card on file at said yes it's not I will not come back. everything was really odd another family came in and now the doctor completely ignored me to introduce her to the receptionist and said let me give you a tour of my premises then he left here and her children in one of the rooms came back and told me maybe this place is not for you if you're not comfortable leaving your credit card as it is not now for sure we will never go back. read more

My daughter got sick for the first time and had a high fever of 103 to 104.4 during the course of 14 hours on Christmas Day. Dr Warsh's office was closed but I was communicating with him through the OhMD app. Long story short- he had recommended Tylenol & a bath during the time that she was sick. I was also told that it is not concerning unless above 105 or consistently above 103 (which she had been consistently above 103) & if I was worried or if she had other symptoms to take her to a pediatrician who was open that day. Once I arrived to the other ped office they immediately gave her ibuprofen. Over the course of the next few hours her fever started declining and she was feeling great that next morning. The following week was her 1 year checkup with Dr. Warsh. I wanted to discuss the fever situation. It was the first time my daughter got sick and I wanted to know all my options for the future. I asked why he never recommended ibuprofen. It could have brought her fever down sooner if I would have known to give it to her. Anyways- later that day he contacted me and said that It is very important for there to be a great trust and strong bond between family's and their doctors and told me he no longer wanted to see my daughter. I then apologized (which I didn't do anything wrong. Just asked questions) I said I didn't want to make him feel like I was questioning his judgment and that I trusted him and would like to continue having my daughter go to his practice. We moved our son's care over to him, because we hoped to get away from the bureaucracy of a big institutional pediatrics approach and to have our son be healthy and happy through all the means available. Our neighbor recommended us to Dr Warsh and we finally made an appointment for our girl, who has food allergies and gastrointestinal issues. Our first appointment was not disappointed. Dr. Warsh is super friendly and open to answer all of our questions and concerns. Our girl is very shy, but somehow he got her to talk, which never happened on first tried! His expertise, is beyond our expectations! Our daughter was re- tested for all common food allergies and Dr. Warsh re- evaluated and eliminated food that causes her to be sick.
