Duck confit. Lentils, escarole, potato. With a pinot. Excellent. 7.29.21

Away from the restaurants in the Quarter and situated on a narrow street in an old New Orleans neighborhood, Gautreau's is a small and intimate (for date nights) restaurant mostly. Though I saw a family of six dine here ---so not strictly for dates or proposals. Reservations are sought after because of its limited number of tables. I experienced one meal here and found the food to be very good, the service impeccable, and the owner checks in on each table to ensure that diners are content and happy. Would love to come back next time I'm in town. Tip: The wine and cocktails lists are noteworthy. It's an Uber ride from the Quarter/downtown

Beautiful room and cool menu. My only "but" is the acoustics. We arrived for an early meal and the room was already full with locals speaking to the popularity of the restaurant. I think the room itself doesn't lend well to lots of chatter. It was so bad it became difficult to enjoy our meal. Loved the food and servers.

Was very good until they changed the menu. All three restaurants now have the same menu at Coushatta Casino.

Presentation five stars actually, I haven't seen a better presentation than what they had here for drinks and food. Everything came out perfect. like first class presentation perfect! Literally went to a Mexican restaurant the day before spent over $120 and it was not worth it at all......, Spent less here and got way way way more, had to be rolled to the vehicle Lumora is doing something RIGHT.. Found my new place. Thank you Reina

You could tell that they were quite short-staffed. I felt sorry for the servers, as they were moving nonstop. It took a while for the waiter to get our order, and then to get the check to us. Their staffing situation needs to be fixed, and pronto. It really detracted from the experience. We had several appetizers. The bacon wrapped shrimp were presented in an entertaining way, hanging on a rack. They were delicious. The zydeco eggrolls were probably my favorite thing the whole night, excellent excellent excellent. I had a cheeseburger. It was a decent, but a bit too heavy on the salt. My date had the hot honey pepperoni pinsa; I tried a bit, it was great. The other couple dining with us had shrimp and grits, and the catfish. They enjoyed their dishes, complementing the food well, no complaints. All in all, a good meal. Just please fix your staffing situation, Lumora.

It was my birthday and I wanted a pre-dinner libation. "The new Delachaise is close to Saba!"…read more(where I chose to have dinner), I told my husband. And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.

The deviled eggs were basically hard boiled eggs (the yolk wasn't really seasoned with anything and looked like they'd been sitting in the fridge for a bit before serving). But the mussels were delicious and the ribeye (beware: IT'S HUGE!) and the sliders were very flavorful. They even brought our warm baguette for me to dip into the mussels sauce after I'd finished them. The service was 10/10...super friendly, attentive and helpful. And the space was nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Very cute and bistro-like.

Here's what I got: *Crispy Cauliflower: Had a nice hot kick to it and exploding with flavor. You got your cilantro, you chili oil, green onion, and a bit of cabbage. I think this was my favorite thing tonight. *Yellow Squash Stuffed Shells: This menu item is rich with flavor, yet soft. You get delicious notes of curry, lemon mascarpone, tomato sauce and it's not super acidic. *Cheesecake: Surprise sweet ending! Good thing I saved room for this soft, fluffy, and decadent dessert with strawberry topping. All of the flavors in each dish meshed perfectly together without any overpowering. Service is great, they are very attentive and will make sure you are good the entire time.

It's a super cool, modern atmosphere with a very comfortable yet /modern feel. On this trip, we had the Charred Artichoke, which came out with perfect char yet tender hearts. Tasty with an onion/garlicky cream sauce. We had two show stoppers...1. Crispy Cauliflower is in a green-onion/chili-oil/harissa-type red slather. Sooooo good! Then, the VERY BEST 2. Avocado Panzanella: the best I've ever had in America and my best panzanella period! That says a lot as I LOVE them in restaurants globally, including Southern Tuscany/the Isle of Sicily. It's an avocado lover's dream, with plenty of this star ingredient of many chunks of avocado(zero skipping here!), crunchy bread pieces, sun-dried tomatoes, etc., in a creamy, slightly hot honey vinaigrette (I believe). There is a Bay Scallop Aracini we have to try next time. It sounds Great! I LOVE a Bolognese because it takes 12-16 hours to cook/smolder/meld. The Bower takes such time & it's very apparent they care to smother it with plenty of porky and beefy goodness. Amazing entree‼ Lastly, our dessert was a Dark Chocolate-type tort. Not sure if it's "flourless," so I don't want to say that in case you're on a flourless diet. But, if you can, it's fantastic. Thankfully... Not too sweet at all. It's perfect, and I'm not even a typical chocolate person. Pls geaux...youll be very satiated!!!

We've been a huge fan of Chef Cook over the years and we're really sad to see this gem closing. We decided to share a bunch of small plates and split a main dish. I got the frozen espresso martini to start which was refreshing on a hot summer day. We got the house salad, oyster BLT, pork belly & watermelon, bowl of gumbo and my mom's chicken and dumplings. The gumbo was my favorite starter and it's really hard to share a bowl because you want it all to yourself! I really enjoyed the oyster BLT with the crunchy oysters and crispy pork belly pieces. The main of chicken and dumplings is the epitome of comfort food. The service was amazing and staff is attentive. The food came out pretty quickly but we weren't rushed. Before leaving we made another reservation for this upcoming weekend before we have to say goodbye for good.
