Wow, what a wonderful surprise. This place has been here 19 years and I've never been here and it is fabulous. Best fish sheepshead I have ever had top with crab meat and a wonderful strawberry cobbler to die for you have to come to Daisy's bistro or bistro daisies

A hidden gem on Magazine Street in the Garden District. Went for a dinner during a recent trip to New Orleans with friends. Nice to sit in a private alcove in a restaurant in a charming, renovated historic home. So cute and cozy. So many delicious choices for dinner and dessert. Chef Anton creates nightly specials as well. The pumpkin soup special was perfect for a chilly Halloween weekend night. So rich and comforting. Delicious! Hard to choose between the duck and the lamb, but chose the leg of lamb special served on risotto that was recommended by a friend. So tender that it just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. A great choice. For dessert, the creamsicle baked Alaska is so pretty and so creative. A Meyer lemon sorbet is hidden inside the browned meringue served over a raspberry coulis. The blueberry cobbler was delicious, too. Add a hot tea as a nice way to end the meal. Limited parking, but street parking is available. Make a reservation, the restaurant is small and quite popular. Nice place for dinner in New Orleans.

My boyfriend and I came into town to celebrate our anniversary. He knows I love the Garden District and found this gem of a place. Hands down, our favorite meal and experience of the trip. We felt so taken care of and celebrated. The food was incredible. We knew we were amongst friends when we saw other diners share photos with staff and owners and greeted other guests. What a delightful gift this establishment is!

This is a very nice, upscale uptown restaurant. It has a very nice ambiance. Comfortable. It gets busy on the weekends. Food is excellent and savory. Everyone at our table was happy with their choice. Service was the only soft spot, where the management needs to emphasize that filling the wine glasses need to be performed by the wait staff and not expect the patrons fill their own glasses. Perhaps they are short handed?

Our meal was wonderful from start to finish. We have eaten here many times, and it is my husband's favorite place to dine. I think because of its consistency. The food is always amazing. We started with the crabmeat and the oyster appetizers. I had the shrimp and grits for the first time, and it was delicious. We ended with crème brûlée and blueberry cobbler. The drinks hit the mark, too. We highly recommend this place.

Here's what I got: *Crispy Cauliflower: Had a nice hot kick to it and exploding with flavor. You got your cilantro, you chili oil, green onion, and a bit of cabbage. I think this was my favorite thing tonight. *Yellow Squash Stuffed Shells: This menu item is rich with flavor, yet soft. You get delicious notes of curry, lemon mascarpone, tomato sauce and it's not super acidic. *Cheesecake: Surprise sweet ending! Good thing I saved room for this soft, fluffy, and decadent dessert with strawberry topping. All of the flavors in each dish meshed perfectly together without any overpowering. Service is great, they are very attentive and will make sure you are good the entire time.

It's a super cool, modern atmosphere with a very comfortable yet /modern feel. On this trip, we had the Charred Artichoke, which came out with perfect char yet tender hearts. Tasty with an onion/garlicky cream sauce. We had two show stoppers...1. Crispy Cauliflower is in a green-onion/chili-oil/harissa-type red slather. Sooooo good! Then, the VERY BEST 2. Avocado Panzanella: the best I've ever had in America and my best panzanella period! That says a lot as I LOVE them in restaurants globally, including Southern Tuscany/the Isle of Sicily. It's an avocado lover's dream, with plenty of this star ingredient of many chunks of avocado(zero skipping here!), crunchy bread pieces, sun-dried tomatoes, etc., in a creamy, slightly hot honey vinaigrette (I believe). There is a Bay Scallop Aracini we have to try next time. It sounds Great! I LOVE a Bolognese because it takes 12-16 hours to cook/smolder/meld. The Bower takes such time & it's very apparent they care to smother it with plenty of porky and beefy goodness. Amazing entree‼ Lastly, our dessert was a Dark Chocolate-type tort. Not sure if it's "flourless," so I don't want to say that in case you're on a flourless diet. But, if you can, it's fantastic. Thankfully... Not too sweet at all. It's perfect, and I'm not even a typical chocolate person. Pls geaux...youll be very satiated!!!

The service, however, was absolutely outstanding. The staff was attentive, kind, and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. Service: 10/10. Food reviews from our table: Glenn: Shared the lamb appetizer and felt it lacked flavor and was a very small portion. He also had the flounder, which he felt was a very small serving and only average in taste. He hated the bread. Overall rating: 5+/10, mostly because of the excellent service. Silvana. Had the flounder and felt it did not seem like flounder, was very thin, dry, and flavorless. The zucchini was good but extremely small--essentially one bite. Rating: 3/10. Stephen: Had the $40 redfish plate, which he felt looked more like a lunch portion. He thought the food itself was decent and rated it 6/10, but was disappointed by the size for the price and said he left still hungry. Me: I had the red snapper, which was actually a more reasonable portion than the others and tasted decent. I would rate it 7.0/10. I also sampled the other dishes and personally found the flounder to be very bland. The lamb appetizer, in my opinion, was the biggest disappointment of the evening and I would rate it 1/10. Overall experience for me 5/10. Overall, a rating of 5/10 (average between all 4 of us) mainly because of the services. While the service was excellent, the portions were surprisingly very small for a high-end restaurant and the food did not meet our expectations, especially for a birthday dinner we had been looking forward to with family visiting from out of town. We will not be going back.

And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.
