I always feel a bit more confident knowing that the person who's doing the work actually enjoys the work. The same seems to be the case for Rich who has been working at Dan's new location for about 40 years. When Dan acquired the Drew Street location (he used to be in downtown Clearwater), Rich had already been working there. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this auto repair shop. From the beginning,…read morecommunication was poor and customer service was lacking. I was never provided with an estimate for the repairs. I was told that parts needed to be ordered, but after that, I received no updates regarding the status of my vehicle or any delays. The shop never called to explain what was happening. Every update I received came only because I contacted them myself. Being left completely in the dark about the progress of my vehicle was frustrating and unprofessional. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase down information about repairs that are being performed on their own vehicle. The lack of communication and transparency left me questioning whether I was being treated fairly. While I cannot say for certain why this occurred, the experience was concerning enough that it made me wonder if bias may have played a role in how I was treated. I expected honesty, communication, and respect as a customer. Unfortunately, this shop failed to meet those basic expectations, and I would not recommend them based on my experience.
