GEICO Has Completely Abandoned Its Customers - 15-Year Loyal Policyholder Left in Limbo for Over TWO MONTHS! I have been a GEICO customer for almost 15 years and I have NEVER experienced anything this disgusting and unacceptable. My car was hit with vandalism and a collision that was NOT my fault. It's been OVER TWO MONTHS and GEICO still hasn't taken care of it. Their AI "system" spat out a ridiculous, low-ball estimate that doesn't even come close to what any reputable body shop says it will actually cost to repair. I can't even open my driver-side window, there are huge scratches all over the car from the vandalism, and the sunroof deflector is completely broken. I've been driving around like this for TWO MONTHS while paying full premiums every single month. What the hell am I even paying insurance for?! I've called, emailed, and begged for help. No callback adjusters. No appointments ever get made. Every time I reach out I get the same runaround: "We'll have an adjuster call you back" or "Reach out to your adjuster." Guess what? No one ever does. Specifically, Richard never makes appointments, doesn't return emails, completely ignores every attempt to reach him, and gaslights you when you finally get someone on the phone. It's the same nightmare for local autobody shops--they're sitting on a backlog of over 40 GEICO vehicles, including mine, and they can't get anyone at GEICO to return a single phone call either. Even Supervisor Kalvin has not returned correspondence to either me or the body shop--not just for my vehicle, but for others too. Unbelievable. I've escalated this multiple times. Zero results. Supervisors? Total joke. They just repeat the same script and disappear. GEICO used to be reliable. Now it feels like they're deliberately making it impossible for customers to get their cars fixed so they can keep our money. Someone at the top needs to wake up--this is not how you run an insurance company. You're going to lose customers left and right, and frankly, you deserve to. This level of incompetence is so bad it should trigger a class-action lawsuit. I will never recommend GEICO to anyone again and I'm actively looking to switch carriers the second this nightmare is finally resolved (if it ever is). Geico insurance is awesome they're really attentive and they do care I know because I'm a Geico customer I got full coverage but if your car stopped running you could pay $20 a month to keep your car insurance till you buy another car and you don't have to pay the premium anymore but once you get another car you put that car on your car insurance and you start paying for your monthly payment but they work with you and I highly recommend them because they're representative is awesome Geico is awesome I've been with a lot of insurance but the Geico insurance is the best that I ever had so if you're looking for insurance Geico is the one cuz they work with you even if you don't have that car anymore you could still keep Geico and pay $20 a month and once you get your car you just add them the insurance and you just start paying your monthly payment without paying another premium read more

On 04/13/2023, I hit a mirror of a parking Mazda car in Pleasanton Ca. I put my phone number under the windshield wiper and the owner called me. I submitted a claim and his car got repaired. Few months later Geico cancelled my insurance (This is ok, they have the right to cancel my insurance) Later on the other party insurance company (called connect) asked me to pay $2,858.27 (this is the amount Geico refused to pay as they are not justifiable). Connect asked Geico to pay $7,585.99, Geico paid only $4727.72 and declined to pay the remaining amount which is $2,858.27. I called Geico and someone his name is Joseph Shewmaker answered me. He told me he would send me a text with his direct phone number and would email me a letter why Geico refused to pay the whole amount but he did not. I called him again, he said that he was trying to contact the other insurance company and then he texted me his phone number!!! I waited for 5 days but he did not email me, I texted him and he did not answer. a day later I texted him and for sure he did not answer. I called him and he said he was trying to contact the other insurance company and they did not respond. When I further discussed why geico did not pay the whole amount he said because I have a deductible of $5000 which is not true, my deductible is $15,000. I asked him to give me his supervisor phone number, I called her twice and left a voice message but sure she does not care about her clients like Joseph and never returned my phone calls. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Geico and their claims adjuster Bruce Bernstorff was incredibly frustrating, unprofessional, and frankly unsafe. After a rear-end collision, my car was sent to a Geico-approved body shop. When I went to pick it up on July 7, both of my rear tires were dangerously deflated--one at 11 psi, the other at 19 psi--after sitting at the shop for over a week. These tires were in good condition before the accident and clearly should have been inspected and replaced. Instead of taking this seriously, Bruce Bernstorff dismissed the issue, claiming "tire deflation is normal," and refused to authorize the replacement. He was rude, condescending, and completely uninterested in hearing any valid concerns. He even told me to just pick up the car, even though the tires were not safe for highway driving. I was also forced to pay my deductible and sign paperwork before I was allowed to inspect the car, which felt deceptive. I've been a Geico customer for years, but this experience--especially with an adjuster like Bruce--makes me question whether they care at all about safety or customer service. I had to make a claim with GEICO under my car insurance and they were really friendly and helpful, working with my body shop to ensure that everything was completed properly. They paid the body shop directly and communicated with them so I didn't have to spend time doing it myself. It was my first claim with GEICO and I was impressed. The body shop said they are a good insurance company to work with on Maui, and I agree. Much easier than State Farm who we have to insure our golf cart with. Poor with claims in California. I was in a minor accident (100% no my fault and all parties agreed) and GEICO represented both sides. They low balled the damage (inspector did not even lift the hood of the car and said he would not) and I received about 30% of the cost so have not fixed it yet. I used to be a long time Geico customer, but they were underbid some years back. Yesterday, I requested a quote and was given a decent number, but it was not much under what I currently have. I told them to go ahead, and after they ran my credit, I was told I had I had to wait for an email. I received the email some hours later to provide bills to prove where I lived, titles to all my vehicles, identifications, and so on. To start, my credit is in the 800s. I've also live and completely own my home of the last 15 years. There is no valid reasoning as to why I needed to provide all this information. I called to ask why this was needed and the lady who answered got extremely offensive as if what I was requestion was somehow personal. She told me I could provide it or look elsewhere. After I caught my breath from what I couldn't imagine coming from someone in customer service, I asked who was responsible for asking for all the things I was being asked for. The lady told me it was underwriting. I was put on hold for about 3 minutes after requesting to speak to underwriting, but she came back on the phone to tell me they were not available and I had to send the paperwork in. I sure hope they have that conversation on file. I'm sure there is a supervisor who would really enjoy hearing how they spoke to a customer. read more

Called 4 different times to get them to update to which they say they did and still never happened . No fault of the agent. I filed a claim and was supposed to be towing but no way to do it so was accident claim. The car sat at the tow yard for almost 2 weeks. Finally got an adjuster and only received 2 texts from him. In the report, was told to remove the front bumper and repair. I finally received a call from his supervisor and request to drop the claim just need towing. It took underwriting over 3 weeks to look at my policy and it went from $440 to $1100 a month, 2 cars and 2 drivers only. Customer service sucks.
