Iced Pistachio Matcha Latte with Oatmilk (+$1 upcharge) A little gritty and again not worth $9. It was very clean and inviting. Service was a bit slow. A couple came in after me, ordered two drinks and received theirs before I did. The barista did catch that she accidentally made my drinks with regular milk instead of oat milk before serving them to me, which I appreciate. However, both drinks had to be remade. I waited about 40 minutes for my coffee on a busy Saturday night. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted burnt, and my latte had no foam. It appeared my latte had been sitting on the counter for a while before it was handed to me because they were waiting for the rest of the order to be finished. By the time I received it, it was already cold. The barista was working alone, and it was obvious she was dealing with a very busy rush, so I understand the situation was challenging. However, there was no apology for the long wait or acknowledgment of the delay, and a simple "thank you for your patience" would have gone a long way. On a busy Saturday night, especially at a newly opened location that's likely to attract a lot of customers, there should be more than one employee scheduled. Having only one person handle the rush led to long wait times, drinks sitting too long before being served, and a noticeable decline in quality. Moka & Co is a unique Yemeni coffee shop that I recommend checking out atleast once. The inside of the shop is extremely comfortable, I went on a weekend and it wasn't too loud. The cashier was super helpful with pi king out a drink and was extremely friendly. I ordered one of their signature lattes which is a Moka Spice Latte (with oatmilk). It was delicious and I have never tasted anything like it before. The spices in the drink were extremely unique and phenomenally went well with the coffee. First time here. We ordered a lavender matcha and biscoff coffee. The matcha has a very distinct and unique taste, and the lavender is very subtle. The biscoff coffee is pretty strong, but my boyfriend liked it! We also got a cinnamon roll and the dough was similar to a croissant -- very delicious, but not as soft as expected. Stopped by at 9pm last night because we saw that there hours on Yelp said that they closed at 11pm..... WRONG. We were greeted as we stood there looking at the menu. There was a group of two that walked out as we walked in and there was another party of two sitting down. We ordered one refreshing mango drink, one biscoff latte, one chai tea, one biscoff cake, and one banana pudding. The workers were friendly and they brought us our orders to the table. We sat down ready to eat when we were then told that they were actually closed. We didn't question them so we grabbed our stuff and left. The inside was clean and its very spacious. The cake was good but just a tad bit too dry. The banana pudding was pretty good as it was creamy and cold. I'm a sucker for cohesive design and furniture that makes sense and looks put together, and they really outshined with that! When we returned since this place opens late - we ordered Moka Spice Lattes and received a drink that was nearly white. Upon tasting it - it confirmed that the drink was primarily milk, no sweetener and barely any coffee flavor. The same with the Adeni Chai - it ended up tasting like milk and water. I did have a slight preference for the salted caramel latte over the biscoff because it was a little more flavorful. The space was very clean, aesthetic, and there was plenty of parking. Stopped by here for the first time yesterday. Incredible coffee. Stopped by this morning to grab a drink on the way into the office. Arrived at 7:30. Doors are closed and locked, lights are off. Website and posted hours on the door say they open at 7 on weekdays. If you aren't going to open at 7, change your fucking posted hours. No idea when they will actually open today, so won't be back. The pastries are heated in a big, open flame oven which is pretty neat. They are tasty bites and pretty light. I ordered the pistachio latte iced, half sweet. The flavor was amazing but still on the sweeter side but that's to be expected. My husband ordered the Sana'ani coffee and it was really good as well. It tastes like a mix between a light coffee and herbal tea. It's important to note that most of the traditional coffees are better served hot. It's pretty calm inside and most of the customers there were either working or studying. My husband and I each ordered a drink and a pastry. I went with a drink from their traditional coffee menu, the Mufawar coffee. It's a traditional Yemeni coffee brewed with cardamom and cream. It has a touch of sweetness and strong flavor. I really enjoyed it's uniqueness. My husband went with an iced Americano. For our pastries, we opted for a baklava and a spinach pie. Both were excellent. It is incredibly clean and spacious in here. I know this is a nationwide chain in I think 19 states? But relatively new to AZ! The lattes sounded amazing but I didn't want something super milky on a gross hot day so I went for a cold brew with a little oat milk and saffron. They asked if the amount of milk was ok and it was almost half the cup so they poured some out, I thought it was nice and good customer service that they asked! My drink did still seem maybe a bit too milky or watery? It was not bad at all, I drank the whole thing but wasn't like the best drink ever. I would just change up my order if I visit again!
