    Deep fried Cali roll

This place has turned to trash. It's been over 4 years since I was last here; back then they were booming with customers and they had a lot more staff. Today, I walked in and the inside was dead; they had one table, a hostess girl in the front, one sushi chef and maybe a cook or two in the back. You would assume with them being dead, the service would be fast but no. It was extremely slow!! We waited 57 minutes to get 3 sushi rolls. A table who came in after us asked for a refund and left bc they took so long. Ordered: Miami roll, Mt. Fuji roll, deep fried Cali roll The sushi was good. They got a one star because of horrible service. Side note: I see they replaced their servers with self serve kiosks to take your order. I hate that everything is going AI/electronic; there's no more intimacy and human interaction anymore.

I hadn't been to Bento in ages but met up with some friends this week. It was fine, nothing special but came out quickly and we enjoyed it. They recently added roti to their menu so I had to try it and it was good but came out at the end of our meals so we didn't eat much of it.

I remember loving Bento in college but I haven't had the chance to try it again since, and honestly I just think of it as another chain now. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their poke bowls! The fish tastes pretty fresh, and I love that they have eel as a protein option too. I do wish you could pick more additions and toppings, but it's still pretty filling with what they give you.

What a shame that all of the other Bento locations are no longer in Jacksonville, but as always, the food here was very good! The menu offers plenty of options and never disappoints. The miso soup is great and only a dollar more when added to a sushi order. The service was also excellent, even though you don't really interact with staff until your food is brought to the table. The restaurant was nice and clean. We'll definitely continue coming back and supporting this location, I'd love to see it stay in business for many, many more years!

I havent been into Bento in years, so we were in the area and popped in for a quick bite. You order on electronic tablets then they bring the food to your table. I got the Miami roll and have to say I was so disappointed when it came to the table it looked so boring and definitely not worth the $16 price. There was nothing outstanding about it, it wasn't bad just not what I was expecting. Kids meal was good, and the people working were very sweet. Should have tried something else.

The food here is great! The service is friendly. The atmosphere is what you expect for takeout. Cashless though so bring a card.

    Curry Katsu Entree

    - Drinks 16oz: [Reality] You got a baby cup to sip out of. All drinks come in this small size and for that price, boy.. go to a gas station near by and get a drink from there. - Protein: I've had their Katsu before and you would get a whole piece of chicken that would cover 4/5 of the rice. But apparently if you choose multiple proteins (which costs more) they will remove your original amount of chicken and throw in these tasteless tofu on) so now I'm missing 3/5 of my originally deserved chicken WTF?! - Japanese Curry (DO NOT GET) it's literally just roux from a box just water and roux, no potatoes, carrots, marinated meat chunks nothing. That's a damn injustice calling it Japanese curry. It's just a slurry. + Portion size: that's the only good thing. If and only if they portion the ratio correctly. Because they do come in a decent sized bowl. For that price just ain't worth it, find a small local Japanese location, they'll have some integrity and hook you up.

The water tastes funky. The workers don't know lemons like it was discovered yesterday. Food is good overall.

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy. Though I didn't wait, I definitely would to have a Tokyo Ramen again!

During our visit, a manager engaged in repeated personal interactions with my guest that felt outside the bounds of typical professional service. While I understand that friendliness is part of hospitality, the frequency and tone of these interactions became uncomfortable and detracted from the overall experience. After the visit, I brought this to the attention of the business directly in the hope that it would be acknowledged and addressed. Unfortunately, I did not receive a meaningful response or any indication that the concern was taken seriously. I'm sharing this here so others have a complete picture when deciding where to go, and so the business has another opportunity to reflect on how customer interactions are handled. With more attentive management and clearer boundaries for staff, this could be a much stronger experience.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
