I tried to call them and text them about a home: no response. I clicked on the link to see the house and uploaded my license like asked and set a time 3-4 days later, the day before the "not approved" viewing day, they send me a "confirm this appointment" email without ever actually confirming the appointment. We did confirm and they did show. We applied and provided proof of income and then they wanted more proof with itemized statments from my bank. I am a business owner and so is my wife. 14 years of payments of rent. High credit score and they still weren't happy. On the phone they say they now can't read the proof of statements and move the goalposts on me to prove that my 10 year old company is paying me. Very poor customer service initially and then want more than it takes to get a commercial loan to prove income. Do not work with them. read more

Gene Bowman is a good reputable company to work with. Christian has been nothing but helpful and informative throughout our transition out of a horrible HOA management team stated below named Brickrow. I appreciate his communication and willingness to help us get out of the mess we were in before. I thank him for his time and suggestions on how to improve our reserves and wish we could work together longer. I am grateful they have held on to our account and continued to manage us despite not finding a new management company just yet and do suggest working with them as they are good people and look out for the well being of their property managed overall. Took our application fee ($110 for two people) and then claimed it was incomplete even though all required information according to the application was provided. They emailed requesting additional pay stubs and bank statements which I provided pay stubs next day with questions about bank statements.The application itself says bank statements are not required but speed up the application process. The day after that they told us it was too late and they are passing on our application. When talking to their office, we found out the property manager (JR) lied about the timeline and said that we were given a week to reply with documents when we actually were denied within 2 days. Saturday: viewed property and applied. Monday: they emailed at 5pm requesting documents. Tuesday: sent pay stubs with questions on bank statements. Wednesday: denied due to incomplete app with no chance to adjudicate. read more

I recently tried to rent a location with them, they took our application fee money and made it seem like we had gotten the place but after asking sinple questions about the lease they first lied and said there was a problem with the unit and we would no longer be able to move in but after asking further questions it was made clear that they simply didn't like what I asked amd decided to cut the lease. I'd like to write in support of Gene Bowman (GB) and to provide some context to Micheal's one-star review. As mentioned, GB was willing to take on our Condominium HOA during a hostile and horrendous transition from Brickrow Property Management Company. As Michael expressed, it was Brickrow that failed to maintain and provide appropriate documentation of our HOA's financials, major projects, banking information, vendors, etc. Further, they withheld access to our funds that stalled our transition to GB. Additional retaliation was also expressed by sending physical boxes of paperwork, leaving GB having to sift through materials for information. NONE of this was Gene Bowman's fault. Our HOA board was grateful to Christian and his team for taking us on despite the disarray that Brickrow created. Christian has remained professional and supportive throughout our time with us. I appreciated the thorough PowerPoint presentations that Christian and Ashley shared at each HOA board meeting. I disagree with Micheal's statement that GB was inexperienced in managing our HOA. Instead, it was a shift in capacity due to staffing that was out of their control. GB made the professional and responsible decision to inform us that they could not sustain their management of our property. I appreciated this transparency, rather than attempting to provide us with limited service. Further, Christian and his team have been supporting our board to ensure that the transition to our next management company goes smoothly. I offer my highest recommendation to Christian and his team at Gene Bowman. read more

Our Condominium HOA switched over to this management company within the past year..from another unprofessional, shady management company. And now this current company wants out. I believe the company is in over its head trying to manage a Condominium complex instead of single family residences. HOA still has no real accountability of funds paid by owners to the PREVIOUS management company..even though that company said it sent everything over to the current company...DOCUMENTS piled in boxes which the current company has not thoroughly reviewed to ensure ALL Our HOA FUNDS that might be owed to the current company. Not sure if the current company has ANY idea/clue of how to legally compel the PREVIOUS company to prove ALL FUNDS have been transferred over, or accredited to owner accounts who might have paid the PREVIOUS company before the CURRENT company took over. Seems like the PREVIOUS company (Brickrow Management) just wanted to wash their hands of our HOA went they suddenly sent a ' Termination of Services ' letter. Now it seems like the current company is going to do the same..probably because of inexperience of managing Condominium HOAs. Stay tuned!! read more

This place is unprofessional, i applied for a place there and had my time wasted. They just want you to fill out the application with the fee to make money. They lied to me and made me apply to a place that they had someone lined up for and they never called me back. I called and they said they would call me and never did. Today marks 6 years of being a tenant here and we are still very satisfied with Gene Bowman Realty. Karri is great when it comes to any repairs that need to be made. She sends her guys right away! GMR has managed my condo for over 3 years. I am happy with the service. They helped to secure tenants on 2 separate occassions. Both have been excellent. They oversaw the screening and placement, and I had little to no stress. Also, each tenant treated my property really well. I did a walkthrough and my home was in immaculate condition. The staff is responsive and professional. Whenever I call or email with questions, I get immediate answers. The new management has streamlined the accounting processes which has really helped with reporting and documentation. There are a few mishaps here and there but overall, I'm happy with the services being provided. read more
