NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP FOR REPAIR! On December…read more20,2024 I was involved in a minor accident on the Tollway. The right rear panel and rear passenger door were damaged. The car was easily driveable however a tow truck appeared and offered to take my car to the nearest collision center which was Xtreme Collision. It was not a preferred shop for State Farm Insurance but I was reassured by both the shop and State Farm that this was not unusual and the repairs could be done there. I thought it would be a 6 week project and all would be well. Week after week ,month after month I was told it was progressing. I finally went down to the shop and was shocked to see that they had completely dismantled my car, replacing parts that were not damaged in the accident. The car was leased, only three years old , low milage and high residual value. I was told that dismantling of my car was necessary in order to paint it appropriately. Soon my allotted rental car appropriation had been exhausted and I was then renting from Enterprise at my own expense. The lease on my damaged car was up at the end of April and then I was paying daily lease on the car in the shop since I had no car to return at the lease end. In late May the shop still was unable to complete the work and State Farm decided to declare the car a total loss and cut their losses with the shop. The shop would have received several thousand more if they had finished the job. The fact that they decided to accept the lesser payment for a total loss suggests that they were unable to finish the job. I believe that this shop is dishonest, deceptive and incompetent. They did way more on my car than necessary in order to gain more payment from the insurance company. In the end they had taken it apart and were too incompetent to put it back together again. I had a 4000 dollar rental from Enterprise because I was without a car for over 5 months . I had continued lease liability on the car in the shop because I could not turn it in on time. As noted above, the total time of this ordeal was 5 months, two weeks.

From my first call, owner Mark put me at ease, explaining that the inspection would be no problem and completely free of charge. When we arrived, the front‑desk ladies were friendly and checked us in without a hitch. My technician Brad was awesome. He thoroughly inspected the car, patiently answered all of our questions, and even offered balanced, "in‑your‑shoes" recommendations to guide our car‑buying decision. He was professional, caring, easy to work with, and went well beyond what I expected. If you're shopping for a pre‑owned vehicle and want true peace of mind, I can't recommend Xtreme Collision highly enough. Their expertise, friendliness, and genuine customer care make them the go‑to spot for anyone needing an expert assessment before buying.

After repairs the shop forgot to wash my car and when brought up to Ashley, she right away offered to take care of it. What should have been a one week process turned into a three month nightmare of shop negligence, property damage, and management avoiding accountability. * Exterior Damage: While replacing my rear bumper, they chipped the edge and tried to use a paint marker to cover up their mistake. Afterwards, they failed to properly blend the paint from the bumper repair to the quarter panel. In trying to fix it across multiple return trips to the body shop, they ended up repainting my pristine front door and fender, ruined the hand painted pinstripe, and chemically damaged my taillights while trying to correct the paint. Currently, the fender still does not blend with my hood and the taillight still has chemicals damages. * Interior Damage: The shop allowed paint overspray to get all over my car's interior. Instead of hiring a professional tint specialist to address the overspray on my high end LLumar FormulaOne Pinnacle Ceramic window tint, shop employees aggressively wiped it down with harsh chemicals instead of replacing it. * Incompetent Inspection Protocols: When I raised concerns about the structural integrity and Infrared (IR) heat rejection of my ceramic film after chemical exposure, Body Shop Manager Brandon Gillespy tried to use his UV meter he personally bought to "prove" the tint was fine. * Management Dismissal: When escalated to the Director of Body Shop Operations, Eric McKenzie, I was met with complete dismissal. He refused to authorize a professional inspection at an authorized LLumar dealer and claimed the car "looked great" visually. After I requested a thorough inspection of the rest of the interior, Brandon and Eric both insisted it was great. However, I later found paint overspray on my radio receiver and front window, alongside damage to my tint. This shop damaged my luxury vehicle's exterior, compromised my premium ceramic window film, and then tried to "grade their own homework" to dodge liability. They are now completely ignoring my emails. If you care about your factory paint, your high-end aftermarket additions, or professional customer service, do not trust Brandon, Eric, or the team at Park Place BodyWerks. Take your luxury vehicle elsewhere.
