As congregation of people, there are some fantastic hearts here. And even leadership from a certain side are really great. Till you go for years and realize oh wow..seems like every other service says the same: "you need to tithe, you need to join a team, and you need join a lifegroup." Messages are surface level, trying to appeal to the masses in order to gain a larger congregation, constantly bragging about being one of the fastest growing bodies in AZ/America. Everything is tied down and scheduled and rehearsed with no room for the Holy Spirit to move. And then when the pastor finally follows a lead and nobody is expecting it and doesn't catch it right away it's everyone else's problem because nobody wants to let him know he can't communicate well because of his large, fragile ego. Stylishness and fancy light sets are at the core in order to bring people to Jesus, as if the Word was not enough to draw people in. Their view is that they have to supplement the gospel with fancy production and the best staff so that people can finally experience God. I recommend this Church. We have felt welcomed from the very beginning. We've been attending going on 5 years and wouldn't want to be any where else! The minute you arrive in the parking you feel welcome like family! That continues as you enter the foyer and are greeted again! Whatever you may be looking for they have resources for. Both my wife and I truly feel at home! Being retired we know we have found our Church Family. We both belong to a Life Group. Life Groups provide a place for you to find community with others and grow in your relationship with Jesus. We also serve on Group called Celebrate Recovery and a Sunday Prayer Team. My wife and I have lived in Arizonia over 15 years. Even if we were only winter visitors we would still attend at Generation Church! They many event during the years. My Wife belongs to the "Beautiful Girls Group" that gets together a few times a year. The Men have a get together called "Stronger Men" a few times a year. My family and I began listening to Pastor Ryan for almost a year in Indiana and we knew this was where we needed to be! We moved 2 years ago to be apart of this Church and I have never grown so much in faith, been loved and cared for so well and been a part of ministries that I know are blessing so many people in need! This is my second time attending Generation Church. I was very skeptical at first based on negative reviews, but I cleared my mind and went in open minded and hearted. While there may be a few things I disagree on, I absolutely love it here and will continue coming back. I love how enthusiastic pastor Ryan is. His preaching hits close to home. I'm looking forward to being baptized here in the future. You can't agree on everything, but I do say to those who are new as I am, give it a chance. Go in with an open mind and heart. Ryan truly preaches from the heart and to GOD. I also very much appreciate that this church doesn't ask for givings/donations. That's a huge turn off for me with churches. I've been attending Generation Church for almost 4 years now. From the moment I walked in - the worship to the sermon - I was amazed and felt so comfortable being there! Pastor Ryan is amazing and the way he preaches just makes you understand biblically and have fun! I was very skeptical to try a new church. I've had trouble finding a place that was genuine, safe and inviting. The minute I entered the parking lot I knew this church was different. Then walking in and being treated by genuine smiles and warmth made me excited to be there. After visiting a few churches in the valley Generation Church won us over. We have never felt anything but welcomed and cared for. We have been there two years now. When I walked into Generation Church, I knew I was home. I am from Canada and its been 5 years since I've been to this church. My first visit they were casting the vision to expand the sanctuary and they did it! It was nice to see some familiar faces on stage , worship guy and lady announcer. The new facility is every home theatre persons dream as the sound and base can be heard from the parking lot, and none of that takes away from the presence of God in worship and inspiration of the message. My son was invited to this church by a classmate. We were searching for a home church and didn't have to look further than this. The most important thing to me was the preaching comes straight from the Bible on topics other churches won't talk about. The childrens and youth ministries are great! What a sorry excuse for a church. Christmas Eve day services don't start until 1230 but over an hour earlier they have to start "practicing" their so-called music.!!
