He will try the least intrusive to resolve the issue and if that doesn't work then he goes to the next step. I initially went to Dr. Baghdasarian because my previous dentist did not accept insurance and Genesis Dental did. At my last appointment, Dr. Baghdasarian told me I had seven cavities. I wanted a second opinion so went back to my family dentist and was told that I had zero cavities. I had a note of all the cavity locations that Dr. Baghdasarian told me I had so my dentist was able to reference each spot and he found none. Dr. Ted is SUPER awesome! Me and my husband just feel so lucky and so grateful for finding this office! They've shown me how to treat one another with kindness and compassion. I am very dissatisfied for 2 significant reasons. The failed to bill my insurance and when I called the insurance, I found the $1750+ would have been covered. Secondly I spent 7 1/2 hours collectively in the chair for a routine procedure, root canal and cap. The first dentist was unable to fully numb my mouth during 3 separate visits. Many weeks later, I experience pain and sensitivity in the tooth they repaired and the one next to it. I was told this pain might last as long as a year to resolve. THis seems very rare for any root canal work. Nothing else was done except about 15-20 X rays or more in attempts for them to find the root. I worry about the negative side effects of the number of Xrays. They had expected to do many other cavities I will be seeking further care elsewhere. read more

I had my employer dental insurance change in the last year, so I had to find a new dentist. Having not been to a dentist since just before the pandemic started, an aching tooth finally prompted me to find a new dentist (a project I always dread). After hours of research on the Guardian Dental website (checking reviews, etc.), I found a handful of dentist offices that accept HMO with decent reviews. I called Genesis on Saturday (they were open) and asked the friendly receptionist whether they accepted Guardian HMO and new patients. She said yes to both. On Monday, I called Guardian to set-up my primary office to Genesis. I called on Tuesday to set up an appointment with Genesis and was told by a different and exasperated receptionist that they no longer accepted Guardian HMO... after I already set them up as my primary. I told her that I was told on Saturday that they did accept Guardian HMO and that I just transferred to their office. She said that she would look into it and call me back. She never did. I called back Guardian and they said Genesis is still set up as an HMO accepting dental office. I sent Genesis an email. No response. I called several times the following day and no one answered. I called again today, and now the receptionist was rude. She informed me that they are obligated to accept me, as I transferred over before they requested to be taken off Guardian's HMO list, but as soon as they're taken off, I would have to find another dentist. I asked for clarification of what my options should be and she hung up on me. I don't know anything about the dentist. He could be the greatest dentist ever to practice dentistry. I do know that the receptionist was exceptionally rude, and as a face of the practice, that's a business problem. read more

I took my mom here for her examination because my own dentist is not in the network for her plan. The first appointment was good. When we came over for our second appointment, we waited in the lobby for 30 minutes past our appointment time (waited 10 minutes at the front desk because there was no one at the desk and then 20 minutes in the lobby when the receptionist told us to wait). During the waiting time, nobody explained to us what is going on or how long the wait was. We had to leave because I had to go back to work. It is already hard to make time out of a busy work day to see a dentist, and it is really not respectable of my time to keep us waiting for 30 minutes without an explanation. Would not recommend if you have a busy schedule and are looking for a prompt dentist appointment. Update from 07/28/2022: The owner responded and was not apologetic at all for having us wait so long for an appointment. It is already hard to take time off work to see a dentist and given the current economy and layoffs, I can get into big trouble if I don't get back to work in time. His response was just so combative and I've never seen this kind of response ever. Would you want to trust your oral health to someone who takes no responsibility and gets so combative and keeps blaming patients if anything goes wrong? read more

Neglected my teeth during the pandemic and paid for it. I had a bunch of cavities that I got filled by Dr. Duggal & Hygenist Kristine as well as a veneer and composite bonding on my front teeth as they were very worn and eroded. They did an OUTSTANDING job and made them look normal again. I was worried about the procedure as I didn't want it to look obvious that I had work done but the dentist did a fabulous job of making it look natural. The team there is very nice and professional. Few months ago I was hit by a car and landed on my head, resulting with a fractured head, nose and 3 missing teeth etc, etc. Although my dentist was near by I went to Dr. Baghdesarian because he was highly recommended by my attorney and I am very grateful to have gone to Dr. B. The following are a few reasons I would recommend Genesis Dental to anyone in need of Dental work. Having past experience with personal injury, most doctors would have fixed the 3 missing teeth and had me on my way, but after he was done, Dr. Baghdesarian took xrays of my other teeth and found 2 teeth that had trauma within and would be a problem much later, he then promptly argued on my behalf for coverage for additional work. Every appointment I've had, I was always warmly greeted and never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes. Getting my grandfather to medical appointments is often rather stressful, since he is mostly wheelchair bound. But Genesis, which I only recently learned of, makes things easier, so it is actually pleasant going to the dentist! Our first appointment was for an urgent matter and they were able to fit us in quickly which was appreciated. (That has not always been our experience with other places). Before I got off the phone I asked if they could accommodate my grandfather, due to his wheelchair, and was told yes. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was a small ramp :) What a lovely sight! After greeting those at the desk, I commented on it, and they said they had placed it there for my grandfather, which meant so very much to me and the others. The waiting room is kind of small, but we were the only ones there and they helped us position the chair while we filled out the first time patient forms, etc. It is a pleasant area with offerings of bottled water and organic gummy snacks. They also have a few candles, which thankfully I have not found to be overpowering, despite my sensitivity to smell. I didn't notice it the first time, but today they had nice music playing in the background (Michael Buble, off of Pandora). All of those factors and a few more have helped settle my nerves. One of the worst parts of dealing with appointments is when he can't stay in the chair. Transferring him can be scary and tricky, but Maria (the young lady at the front desk who I spoke to over the phone) and a few more of the staff there, whose names I did not catch, got to work gently but very competently helping out my grandfather on to their chair, and later, back in his. This has now taken place a total of 4 times over 2 visits. It means so very much to me and they do not make us feel like burdens for it. Dr. Ted has been kind and patient in dealing with my grandfather. Finding ways to take impressions for future dentures even though my grandfather's condition makes it trickier. One more positive point I will mention, is that when we had to cancel his prior appointment, just a few hours before, they handled it with compassion, rather than an unkind attitude.
