Exceptional dentist, professional, excellent communicator, committed to his patients, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver the best solution to his patients (considering both dental and financial needs). I considered several different ways to approach my review of Dr. Ted and decided the best way was to encapsulate my impression of him through succinctly stated words. All of these describe Dr. Ted to me. To understand why the stated attributes are so important to me in a dentist, I will briefly share my dental story (which has included dental treatments going way beyond what is normally required). When I was 11 years old, a horse kicked me in the face and knocked out 4 front teeth, and not only the teeth, but the bone that held them. Needless to say, this began a lifetime of my sitting in dentists' chairs hoping for a new, better solution than the last. Through the years I have had numerous dentists and treatment solutions--the latest and greatest. I have experienced exceptional dentists, good dentists, fair dentists, and dentists that were not so great. I put Dr. Ted at the top of the exceptional list. In late 2018, I entered a season of needing some major dental work done again. I visited several dentists to assess my situation and finally settled on one--who unfortunately botched the first phase of the work I needed done. So I began looking again for a qualified dentist to address my needs. In my search, I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Ted--who in demonstrating all the attributes I listed at the start of this review-- assessed my situation, recommend solutions, and proceeded with dental treatment (a number of crowns, an implant, cleaning, & more). I am very pleased with the work performed. Additionally, the staff at Genesis Dental Esthetics are very professional, friendly, and helpful and his office is immaculate. I highly recommend Dr. Ted Baghdasarian as a dentist and new found, professional friend. Dr. Baghdasarian was kind, personable, and professional. I had a few cavities filled and the procedure was quick and painless. He actually complimented my gum health which was encouraging because I work hard to take good care of my teeth and gums. My mom always said take care of your teeth and they will take care of you. One of the things I appreciated most is that he was honest and did not try to sell me on a bunch of unneeded procedures. I didn't tell Dr. Baghdasarian, but I checked out another dentist for a 2nd opinion and that dentist wanted me to finance 2000.00 in questionable procedures. Without a doubt I am giving Genesis Dental Esthetics a five star rating. Why? I am the scariest and nervous patient when it comes to dental work which is why I haven't been to the dentist within the last 5 years. When I recently found out I had an abscess tooth (Jan 2022), it changed everything for me. I went to one dentist for a tooth exam and was told I had an infection and was referred to another dentist who performed a root canal at an exorbitant out of pocket cost because my HMO wasn't accepted. I had to act fast. Now I needed a dentist to perform the crown work. After thorough research I found Dr. Ted Baghdasarian and his absolute fantastic team which accepted my insurance. After a full dental exam he provided me with a treatment plan. While Maria his astute assistant, worked up a cost plan. Due to my anxiety and fear of pain, I was able to ask a thousand questions prior, during, and after my treatments. He and his trained staff warned me every step of the way what he/they would be performing and that there would be no pain. Although there was NO pain...I still naturally jumped sometimes...(can't help myself). Dr. Baghdasarian was extremely patient and kind, as well as his staff. Furthermore, I once eaves dropped listening to him talking to another a patient. He touched my heart with how his words cared for his patient. I finally asked him on another visit, did he like his job. He replied, "I love my job." Well there you go! Most of all I will keep coming back until my work is done. read more

Thank you Dr. B. and Dr. Rustomian for your excellent care! I went in for a regular check up and found out I needed immediate removal of all of my wisdom teeth. I was able to get an appointment two weeks later to have my extractions. In the meantime, my teeth were beautifully cleaned restoring them to a beautiful white! Dr. Rustomian walked me through my complete surgery before hand and ensured I was comfortable throughout the extraction procedure. Both doctors were very professional and gentle practitioners. This is a new office that I tried which is closer to my home and I have to say I was SO impressed! Maria is awesome! She's the reason I had my initial visit bc I was looking for a hygienist and she said the dr. does all the work so I was about to hang up and she said, would you like to just come in and see the dr. So I did, their office is clean, plenty of parking, they were efficient and thorough! Super nice! Dr was super knowledgeable like no dentist I've ever seen truly. This has been the best dental experience I've ever had. I had a painful wisdom tooth that needed to be extracted quickly and the staff were able to quickly schedule me for an appointment the next day. Have been coming here for about a little over a year. The whole staff is very professional, kind and personable. Have come here for some fillings, cleanings, and a root canal. I had some cavities on my wisdom teeth, which I'm hoping to extract soon. The dentist didn't want them to get worse, so he offered to do fillings on them and credit them towards the extraction costs so I wouldn't have to pay twice on those. Very thoughtful. Beware! It seems this place has just put out shop. They seem to be missing equipment you would expect at a respectable dentists, i.e. an electronic system where X-rays can be put up. So for instance, they cannot import X-rays taken from elsewhere and use them. This in itself would not be a huge problem, but the doctor was super careless; for instance he did not check my gum depths, just told me they were 'great' after a cursory look. Because I have been shopping for a dentist, I had been to another dentist in this area only two weeks ago, and he had done a very complete measurement of gum depths, on each side of every tooth, and told me that in fact my gums were not in very good shape, that I needed to take better care of them with better brushing and flossing. Lastly, BOTH the person at the front desk and the dentist were super pushy about additional procedures besides basic fillings which were not covered by my insurance. Of course I would expect to be informed of all available options, but for these people extracting the most money out of me seemed to be the foremost thing on their mind. For instance the last thing the dentist did after finishing my fillings was again verbally push for an additional procedure I said I did not want to get. Definitely will not return again, and recommend against for anyone looking for a reliable, scrupulous dentist. read more

As someone who literally hasn't been to the dentist in years out of fear due to past dental nightmares, I can honestly say I had a great first experience with Dr. Ted and his staff. I had to have a problematic tooth extracted last week, and did not feel any pain during the extraction. I thought for sure after the numbness went away my jaw was going to hurt, but it did not....at all. I was just amazed! I was nervous also, and though there was nothing that could be done about that as it was my first visit, I won't be nervous AT ALL for my future visits. We recently got new dental insurance and they randomly assigned us to this dental office. I looked it up here and Yelp and since the reviews were good, I decided stick with them. Good choice! This place is great. Dr. Baghdasarian is the real deal. Confident, competent, kind, and what I appreciate most: a great communicator. My mouth is better off having been under his care. Even better, he was fantastic with my kids, ages 9 and 11. Both had cavities, but he did his best to avoid any sort of anesthesia. They were both very pleased compared to our last dentist. Also appreciated Maria -- so kind and so mindful. She's great. I also appreciate that all of them were upfront about costs and did not pressure me to do anything I wasn't comfortable paying for. I was having CRAZY pain in my lower left tooth. Can't say I'm surprised though, this tooth had been a problem for nearly a year. I ignored the hole in the tooth until recently it started throbbing like an ice pick had been jabbed in there. Went to a couple places and was told tooth has to be removed which left me shocked, I did not want to lose the tooth! Friend recommended this place, went in to get it checked, thankful that I did. Great doctor, very honest and great personality took a look and said it could be saved with a root canal, ended up getting a cap as well with very little discomfort, woot, keeping my tooth! Ty! I recently discovered Dr. Baghdasarian and have no doubt that I won't be going elsewhere! Many other places were closed due to covid-19 and had no compassion to schedule appointments for patients (although they are required to treat patients who were in pain). I finally found Dr. B and Maria who I now see as my tooth angels. I haven't had the best experience with dentists in the past so I appreciated how informative, kind, and professional they were. During my first visit, we discussed the options for my tooth and determined that a dental implant was the best option for me. This sounded really scary at first but Dr. B and Maria really eased my mind about the whole process. I had unfortunately lost my job due to covid-19 layoffs so I really appreciated having the option for a payment plan. On my second visit I got a call from my previous workplace offering me a job and I thought this dental office must be my lucky place. Everyone there is always full of positive energy and they were really happy for me! To wrap up my implant experience, it really isn't as scary as I thought. I just finished the first part of my operation and it was seamless. The work they do isn't easy but they make it look like second nature. I also feel comfortable enough to express any tooth concerns and Dr. B is always happy to help. I've never had an experience that was this efficient and well done. Everyone here is so very kind! The receptionist, dental assistants, and Dr B, they were so good to me. Because of chemo a few months prior and radiation (my last day of radiation!) the corner of a molar broke off and they squeezed me in to look at it and made me a quick appointment to repair it. I'm a BIG BABY when it comes to going to the dentist and they treated me so gently every step of the way. Dr B told me what he was doing as he was doing it (which helped a lot). He told me what toothpaste to use and other things I can do to help my teeth recover from treatments and we made a plan for my next visit. They fought with my insurance company, unfortunately to no avail (dirt bag MetLife), but I appreciate that they tried! Dr B, I promise I will be back for my cleaning! I found Genesis Dental through yelp last year. I decided to give them a try due to their stellar reviews and the accessibility of their location. They have their own parking lot which makes visiting so easy. I do not regret my decision to choose this dental clinic! Dr. Bahgdasarian is very gentle, knowledgeable, and takes time to really talk to his patients. He makes sure that you are well informed of the procedures, and understand what is needed on your part. All of his staff are very professional and helpful. Maria gives all patients great customer service. Genesis, dental hygienist, is also very awesome! She makes sure that I know which areas needed more flossing to reduce buildup. When I first visited, I had quite a lot of dental work that needed to be done, including wisdom teeth extractions and clear correct ( or invisalign). The oral surgeon in this location is also very gentle and patient! I am terrified of extractions and he made sure that I was comfortable during the procedure. Additionally, whenever I have issues on my clear correct (or Invisalign), Maria and Dr. B always tries to squeeze me into the schedule. This is another additional bonus! Some aligners are hard to put on by myself. read more
