I wanted to leave a review for staff member, Abel. I had him come out for a dryer vent cleaning, as my dry time had recently tripped in duration, and I was concerned that a build up of lint could cause a fire. Friendly booking, and once at my house, he went above and beyond to help me, and provided fantastic customer service, and was knowledgeable. He showed me that my tubing had been crushed at the connection to the wall, and was no longer hooked up properly, and wasn't effective at blowing the hot air from the machine to the outside of the home. No wonder it was taking so long to dry! And not only did he tell me what replacement part I would need, but he never tried to upsell me (which I'm always leery of when booking), and offered to even install it for me, if my husband could grab the part. Since he couldn't make it back in time, Abel repaired my crushed venting tube, and secured it back into place, as a stable temporary fix! He also showed me how to care for the lint build up in the future, and how to properly clean for maintenance. I have never called a company for a lint dryer clean out before, yet next time I'm in need, I'll be coming back. Abel worked hard, and was friendly and respectful. Definitely recommend him. Used this company before to clean my couch & paid $150ish. They quoted me a $180 flat fee estimate to clean again & I agreed. They were to come out next Tuesday & showed up on Friday; when I was not home. My husband was home so we just let them in. The cleaner looked at the couch & stated that it was going to be over $700. I told him the estimate was 1/3 the price of what he's saying it is now. He informed me that that estimate was based on specifications that were not correct about my couch. Out of need, I just said do it even though the cleaner would not call his supervisor. Kept telling me what a deal I was getting from him, how great he was at his job & that he was using a $20,000 machine to clean. While he was cleaning, he began saying to my husband that our couch was the dirtiest he's ever seen because there were crumbs & pet hairs under the cushions; that's why we wanted it cleaned! He also sent me pictures via text at work to tell me how dirty it was. I have a toddler & pets, so it's not too unusual to find this under a couch. The cleaner came off as rude & condescending that was not appreciated when his company gave us the estimate. They said they would be here between 8am-10am. It was like 8:05am and I got a call from them about being late due to the winds and debris around their office. I've used this company twice, and up until I decided to gift a friend a Groupon for this company, I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. The Groupon I purchased was for up to five rooms. Both my rental and the gift I purchased for a friend was multi level, so I expected to pay a little extra. I was up charged $35 for a deeper cleaning on my home, and when I told my friend that there was going to be an up charge for a 2nd floor and a deep cleaning which should be around $65 dollars, they were ok with it. It's the day of the appointment, and I get a call from my friend who's frantic. He said they were going to charge them almost $300 in addition to the Groupon. I got on the phone with the Genesis Carpet Care and he said he couldn't clean the place with the Groupon. My friend is not a slob, and the carpet wasn't dirty to the eye. He goes on to try and justify that the Groupon only applies to 1 in 40 people. And it's typically for a little old lady who vacuum's excessively and takes her shoes off and gets her carpets professionally cleaned twice a year. I confronted his statement based off the warranty with my new carpet purchase, and the manufacturer said carpets should be professionally cleaned once in 12-18 months. Then he pivoted to his gear is $20,000, and I told him the last guy from his company who did my rentals used the same equipment and I was charged $65 more than the Groupon for the whole place, and not the $285 he was attempting to charge my friend. We went round in circles, and he called his boss for a resolution. Eventually we ended on $220 with a refund on my Groupon. He apologized for the misunderstanding, and I reminded him I didn't misunderstand anything. That I had worked with his company twice before, and I was aware of the upgrade price. The representative at Genesis Carpet Care did a bate a switch on me. My friend spent all weekend prepping his house getting things off the floor. I had no choice but to pay the additional money so he could get his carpets cleaned as a gift. Be prepared to pay for more than what they advertise.
