This is a great place to get food to go. Load it up and you can easily have 2 or 3 meals for $10 out the door.

I had heard of this restaurant from family members and so we had to try it when we were in town. Husband loved that he could pick what he put in his bowl as he is very picky but felt kind of rushed because of the people behind us so didn't put enough meat on his plate. This kind of place is very new to me. I'm used to being served from a menu or a drive-thru or a buffet line. This place has an unlimited menu! I felt intimidated into picking foods I'd eaten before. Mixed it up with combos that made no sense but tastes great in the end. I think it could be cheaper and the grillers more lively but, I can't wait to go again and not feel like some dumb Amelican. read more

Fresh food but service is questionable. I like the idea of picking out what I will have cooked and the spices used. The portions are huge But for the price I think the staff should do a little more than deliver the food. My fiancé and I went here for our date night. We are both women of color, and as we sat down, we waited to have our drink orders taken. Then, we noticed that we were not being served. A white couple walked in after we were all seated and were served right away. We were there for a ten full minutes without being looked at or served, and we noticed at least 6 or seven workers on duty. We left, because it became clear they wouldn't serve us. We stopped by this place when we were in town, seeing it off the freeway. And boy was I surprised. Great ambiance, quick services, excellent selection and THE SAUCES. I'm very health conscious and it had all the options I could ask for. I've been to many mongolian places but this places has a flair that would make me stop by when we're in town again. Not bad, the food is really only 3 stars but I'm giving one more for the service. The waitress was very helpful walking my through my choices of protein, spices and veggies. The food was fresh and plentiful. Don't let the size of the bowl fool you the noodles are added afterword. read more

Someone else took my wife's bowl so i had to eat while she waited for her bowl while we waited for another bowl to be made. Manager came to apologize and asked if we wanted another beer which we accepted. When we got the bill it differed from the credit card charge which was was more? When questioned about it we were told the credit card charge had the beer the manager offered and the bill did not. The waitress then changed to bill to match the charge amount. This is the first time we have been to this location, it was very busy and took a long time. We stood in line for 45 minutes just to make our bowl, then waited another 20 min for our bowls to come to the table. We also ordered an appetizer that never showed up. The food was good when we got it but I think we'll stick to the i-25 -Jefferson location, we've never had a problem there read more

Just to tell you, i had no idea what i was doing... Its a place you put your own meal together and they cook it. At first i was going to use a recipe card provided, but didnt like parts of all of them.. so i went my own way. I put all the seafood in one and put a sauce. It came out OK but i tried my boyfriends and liked his a bit better, he liked mine better, so we switched. Today I learned how "American" I am. I'm used to going to a restaurant, reading some descriptions, looking at a few pictures, and ordering my food. Then I wait and the food is delivered to me. It's a simple, straight forward process. However, at Genghis Grill I was immediately overwhelmed by decisions as I entered the line to pick my ingredients. I enjoyed it for a moment, and entertained myself with questions such as "pork or chicken?" Then I noticed the growing line of people standing behind me. I started to panic and started randomly grabbing ingredients and shoving them into my bowl. As I stood there, the anxiety grew as I started to over analyze the mish mash of ingredients I chose and wondered if they would taste horrific or oddly delightful. Why did I put tofu on my bowl right next to pork? What is dragon salt? Can I put pork and chicken in the same bowl? Will that be gross or delicious? The line behind me continued to grow. After I received my cooked bowl, which I dubbed the "Calamity Bowl," I discovered something brilliant about Genghis Grill: You can pretty much pick a completely random selection of ingredients and sauces, and it will pretty much taste amazing. So if you're willing to try something a little different and find comfort in the freedom of customizing your own dinner, try it out. But if you prefer a order-from-the-menu type of restaurant, stay away! read more

Best thing about genghis is that you can make your bowl of food yourself. You decide about all the details. There is usually no waiting time. Once you get in, you'll be given an empty bowl and you should fill it with whatever you like. After 5-8 minutes, you'll get your grilled food. Don't forget the jalapeno. read more

Good stir fry and always have food left over when I get the big bowl! Glad that they have now added a small bowl... Go during non peak hours if not you'll probably spend half your dinner time waiting in line to serve, and the food bar will be messy and somewhat disgusting read more

Update I recieved a call from the general manager Sergio, who stated it was corporate who wouldn't allow the cheese to be given out.... after a conversation with him he didn't have a corporate contact but would have corporate call me....2 weeks later I'm still waiting for corporates call. (I did recieve another call from Sergio, who corporate had call me) but nothing from corporate where the whole issue resides. Further solidifies my lack of customer service comment. read more

Great food and good service. You control your meal from beginning to end so it's easy to stay on a diet when eating here as well. I love the choices and the food is always fresh and fast. If you don't like crowds though, I recommend going at dinner time cause the lunch crowd can get a little crazy busy. read more

This restaurant is such a disappointment. Since it is opened it has progressively gotten worse and cheaped out more and more. The bowls for your food get smaller and the price increases. The last time I visited which was last week for lunch; they have stopped including shrimp and scallops during the lunch hour. Also all of the sauces or bland and have no flavor. And I used the spicy ones! I won't be back in neither will my friend who went with me. We were both overwhelmed with the blandness of the food. Great food although the price was a little high. I got the Bowl of Seoul. I followed the recipe card & piled the bowl high. It was served to me hot off the grill & it was delicious. It's quite a bit of food if you pile the bowl until you have a nice mound on top & things are almost falling off. We also got the cheesecake which was thick and didn't have an weird aftertaste (which you often find in cheesecake). It was a great meal & I look forward to going back again soon. read more

Not too impressed. I came in for a late lunch and our server was not very attentive at all. Was not around for refills, and after the food was brought to us, which was incorrect (the cooks added rice instead of noodles) she didn't come to the table for us to advise her of the error for a long time. To to it off, she overcharged us - we came in at 3:33pm and left at 4:12pm. She decided to charge us dinner prices, which would've started at 4 - long after we had ordered, had food at the table, and we're almost done eating. It's just a few dollars more, but I just found that to be very distasteful. I know her tip is proportional to the bill, but it just left a really bad impression. I also didn't mention that the bar was left half stocked - missing my go-to ingredients that I normally select Will be returning to this location. I prefer the one in uptown as I haven't experienced these issues. Food is the same - still good (hence the second star), but the feeling upon leaving is completely different. read more

I really liked this place. The bowl seemed small but once I got it back wtih the rice it was plenty. For a few dollars more you can get all you can eat. I like alot of meat and not so much veggies. So I pilled the meat on, and the spices. I was great food and will be back again. read more

2 weeks ago I went to this place on a Saturday for lunch. I had the citrus marinated white fish mix for my main protein and some tofu. The rest was all veggies, plus the sauces. That was around 11:00 am. I ate, it was pretty tasty and seemed ok. Compared to other similar places I have been, I thought it was way over priced. I went back to my hotel to finish the work I was doing. About an hour later, my left foot and ankle started itching like crazy.. After a few minutes of scratching , I felt some bumps while scratching. I looked and I had little blisters and a rash on my left foot. My right foot began to itch and get the same blisters and rash. I went to the Urgent Care the our company recommended. After the preliminaries and the doctor looked at it, she asked what was the last thing you ate? It appears that you hare having a food allergy, food poisoning or a reaction to bad food. It was hard to tell. She gave me some cortisone cream and a form of cortisone to help the reaction, stop the blisters and clear the rash. I barely made it back to my room before I had the unpleasant reaction of getting rid of what I ate sitting on the porcelain throne. I couldn't eat until Monday night. Can I prove that was wear I got it from, no. But other than a bowl of cereal in my room, was all I had eaten that day. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything, especially food. I would stay away from this place...but that is just my opinion. read more
