You can get all the common dishes here but you can also get some unusual dishes that are very authentic. My grandson once ordered jelly fish. You can't get that at very many local restaurants. Another thing I like is that they have a couple of large round tables with lazy Susans. Our extended family sat at one of those tables once. It was fun putting the things we wanted to share on the lazy Susan and being able to spin it around and try what we wanted. It made for fun conversation talking about the different dishes. That was when our grandson ordered jellyfish. The restaurant is fairly small but the large tables make the restaurant good for groups. I think this would be an excellent place for a Yelp event. They have a lunch menu but you have to ask for it. It includes some of the popular Asian dishes for $9:95. They have smaller portions that come with a choice of soup or egg roll. Danny and I asked to see the lunch menu, but decided to order off the main menu. We split Crispy Tofu with garlic sauce and egg rolls. I liked the presentation of the egg rolls. They were cut diagonally and arranged nicely on the plate. The tofu dish was quite tasty. Next time, I plan to get Mei Fun. I have had it here before and loved the variety of flavors. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't wonderful. We got our food in a timely manner, but we felt rushed to order and she didn't check to see if we needed anything or refill our water glasses. Service here has been excellent in the past. I am glad we came back to Chengdu and were reminded of how much we like it. We will be back soon.

I have had the opportunity to eat at some of the finest Chinese restaurants throughout San Francisco and have eaten at some of the best Chinese restaurants in Baja Mexico (I realize this may sound ridiculous, but Mexico has some of the best Asian restaurants). It may surprise you but the Chinese influence and culture is very rich in Baja. And, I like some heat! I am also somewhat familiar with the Schahuan region style of cooking recognized for being spicy and hot! I was visiting from Texas, my cousin and kinda fell upon this restaurant accidentally! Truly I forgot what all we ordered but I know I had the Green Beans and Chicken Lo Mein. This is one of the top three Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food was so authentic, just enough heat and delicious! I would love to return.

I can assure you that the selection, and quality of taste of all dishes, and the Mongolian and sushi bar, cannot be beat. I lived in Hawaii for years, and there Chinese restaurants can't touch this establishment Sir. Let's just say if you love Chinese food like I do, and lived all over the globe during military Days, . This restaurant is the best and most affordable of any where I've eaten, . Even better than the restaurants in Hong Kong. The meals were sesame chicken, coconut curry chicken, Singapore noodles, dan dan noodles, dry fried green beans, chicken and vegetables, kung pao chicken and crispy duck. The duck was a bit chewy and the dan dan noodles were not to my niece's liking but that did not diminish the overall experience and carefully cooked, made to order entrees that were largely outstanding. I have never eaten sauces and dishes at a Chinese restaurant that were as unique and delicious as theirs.

The other people in my party ordered Sesame Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. All three of us were extremely pleased with the service and the quality of the food. My hot and sour soup was extremely delicious. It was chock full of sliced mushrooms and several pieces of tofu and it was almost a meal in itself and was served very hot. My Chicken lo Mein was equally delicious. The others in my party praised their meals as well and all three of us felt that we had finally found an excellent Chinese restaurant. I liked the Mongolian grill, which you are able to pick your veggies, meats and sauces and have someone cook it for you. It actually was quite decent and flavorful. Obviously, they use cheap meats like the beef was very chewy, but you get what you pay for. All the fried stuff was ok. I did really like the fried sweet potatoes. All the usual Chinese American dishes were meh. The soups looked questionable and there was no way I was trying the sushi, so I can't comment on that. Desserts seemed ok. There were some packaged ones like crème puffs. Really liked the watermelons though - they were sweet. I would highlight that the people who work here are friendly and pleasant, which was a big plus. So overall, I thought it was a good price $15.99 for dinner for this type of quality. Note that there's a 3.5% charge for credit cards. I honestly do think a lot of people would likely enjoy it -the number of patrons there proves that. It may not be for me, but it might be for you. Remember to tip for the workers, who are taking your plates away.
