I came here tonight to have dinner with my cousin and father. The sushi bar had seats available as soon as we entered. The food was great. Everything was delivered correctly and fast. The dining area was busy, and all the waiters still provided excellent service. Water and tea were topped off. The sushi was excellent. My father really loved the flavor cooked into the Lion Kong rolls. I enjoyed my bowl of seaweed salad. This is my 4th time here. I will keep coming and offer to bring my friends and family here for food every time.

I've been to this place for almost as long as I've been alive, back when they had the buffet and I almost bankrupted them getting only unagi to their change becoming a fusion restaurant. We've hosted friends from abroad here, I've taken exes (still friends), and now seeing them expand their menu. The food is good and you'll probably find something you like. I'm a fan of the chicken lettuce cup and whispering waves (sashimi). Hopefully their spicy beef noodle soup is tasty as well.

I ordered The Pad Thai and it is dry got no flavor so disappointed can do better with more sauce. I usually like their sushi.

Chicken Chow Fun w/bok choy & bean sprouts

One of our favorite dining establishments on our rotations. Had the chicken chow fun with bean sprouts and a light sprinkling of baby bok choy. My lunch buddy had a bowl of miso soup (his fav) and the Raider sushi rolls top with black tobiko. Washed it all down with a Thai ice tea. There was so much chow fun after sharing some with the handsome hubby, I took some home also. Love this Asian fusion restaurant, the wait staff are always on point and the food never disappoints

Sushi rolls are AMAZING. We were a bit nervous about the reviews until we showed up. Those who said the soup is cold might be lying because ours came out clean and steamy and delicious. Service is super sweet, waitress was patient and funny. The spot itself is pretty and soothing, we love the overall vibe of the restaurant. (If you're under 21, or over and want something alcohol free, get a virgin mojito. It really helped cleanse the palette after I bit off more the I could chew- literally.) great spot, does NOT deserve the hate it's getting (at least in my experience.)

Great service, large portion of fried rice and broccoli chicken. The hot and sour soup was flavorful and the maguro sashimi was buttery and fresh. We ordered multiple rolls and there were no left overs to bring home. The Sauvignon blanc was cold and crisp and they had a good selection of beers. No one left hungry or thirsty. Good job.

Came here for my birthday party that my friends arranged. They took care of everything from drinks to food and reservations. Love that there is ample parking, we had the private room off to the side. Once food ordered was placed, food came out flying fast and it was fresh and hot. We had a variety of dishes. The sweet and sour pork, thai basil chicken, salt and pepper wings, as well as salt and pepper shrimp. We also got the fried rice, chow fun and sushi. Everything that we ordered was flavorful and delicious. We got a platter of the cooked sushi and the platter of raw sushi along with sashimi. The raw sushi was really good and fresh. The sashimi slices were super thick. I definitely need to come back to try other stuff on the menu. Drinks were good too, red lotus was delicious, not exactly sure what was in it but had lychee and it was sweet. Overall it was great evening celebrating with the best of friends and good food.

Went here for lunch with the boss man and absolutely enjoyed everything I ate! True rating 4.5 THE GOOD ° Lemon Chicken lunch dish - absolute BANGER! - The crisp on the chicken was on point, the lemon sauce had depth, and it had actual lemons served with it ° Even the salad was super enjoyable because of the dressing/sauce ° Miso soup was made well. Don't consider myself a miso soup connoisseur. ° Personally I liked the decor. Old doors, old artifacts... But still feeling clean and modern ° Service was good and easy to call over when needed. - you could tell they took care of their older clientele, the usuals, very well and caring. THE BAD ° Nothing that I could note THE UGLY None

Let me just say that I absolutely love this place. I've never ordered to go though. Every time I dine in it's perfect service and a great time. I decided to DoorDash this time and it didn't really pan out too well. I ordered right when they opened and the food did come rather fast. I got a few rolls and they were delicious as was the assorted sashimi. The rolls were the Cherry Blossom & Home Sweet Home. I also ordered the chicken chow fun which was good but had very few noodles in it. It was basically just chicken. The gyoza was good but I didn't like the sauce that came with it. The golden crispy rolls were kinda slimy. Didn't seem like they were cooked all the way. I got the bbq short ribs but they didn't look anything like the picture on DoorDash. In the picture they were red and saucy and what I got was brown and dry with sesame seeds as pictured in this review. Not sure if the picture is wrong or they gave me the wrong thing. They weren't bad, just wasn't what I expected. The most disappointing part was that I ordered and paid for the warrior chicken and they didn't give it to me. I'll definitely order from here again as I stated I love it but I hope it'll be a better experience the next go around.

Staff and Service: - Our waitress was super nice. I walked in and she asked if I would like an air conditioned room or warmer room (there's been a heat wave recently in the Bay Area). She was very accommodating, answered the questions I had, and was quick to help out Food and Drinks: - Lychee Punch: cocktail on the happy hour menu (lychee, lemonade, vodka). Fun cocktail that has a stronger taste of lychee and vodka (less on the lemonade) - Spring Rolls: ordered this off the happy hour menu (comes with 4) - 49er Roll: different than other 49er rolls as the inside was cucumber instead of a California roll - Double Salmon Roll: lots of salmon, which is why I ordered this - Overall: the rolls were okay, but they were quite small compared to other restaurants. The rice was a little sticky and lacked the vinegar of sushi rice Miscellaneous: - Plenty of parking available via a shared parking lot - Single stall bathrooms available through a door in the back - Happy hour menu is available from 4:30pm - 6:30pm Monday - Friday - Bento boxes are priced for lunch on the menu. If you want a bento box for dinner, it's an additional $5 to what is listed on the menu - Good for one on one or large groups - The acoustics in the restaurant are pretty bad - every time someone moved a table or chair, it became near impossible to hear the person right across from me. This continued to happen for a solid 30 or so minutes

It's time to give Genghix the credit it deserves. We've been coming here for years, and I'm finally leaving a review. My parents have always raved about this place, and now I understand why. It's the perfect spot for those craving both sushi and Chinese food. Their sushi is consistently fresh, and the Chinese dishes are packed with flavor and wok-charred goodness. The service was quick and efficient! The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure to check on us from time to time. The drinks, especially the margaritas, are always a highlight! They're strong and delicious!

Salt and Pepper tofu! We loved it! Super crispy.

To be honest, Fusion used to be terrible, and I used to absolutely hate coming here. Food was slow in coming, what came out was often cold, the dining room was loud, and service was impersonal, at best. On one visit, half the menu was unavailable, requested silverware was crooked, and numerous glasses, bowls, and plates were chipped or damaged. On another visit, I saw multiple families sneak out of the restaurant, walk to McDonald's across the plaza, and smuggle food back in to tide them over until their orders came. After a while, I wasn't alone in meeting the decree of, "come to Fusion on Saturday," with a groan. However, when HL Peninsula opened in Castro Valley and established itself as a threat to Fusion's business, it served as a wake-up call. Food immediately got better (from "below-average" to "know what to order and you'll be fine"), the speed of service improved, and food temperature became consistent and proper. It's not QUITE a "different restaurant" feel, and there are still some negatives. It's still loud and service could still be better (there have been times where chicken wings have taken over an hour to come out, which is a "should not occur"). However, at least I don't dread coming here anymore.

If you are a cocktail drinker during lunch, do check them out. We ordered 4 shareable items: * Savoy Donuts - 5 stars - fluffy and yummy, not greasy at all * Focaccia w/ Meyer Lemon and Garlic Confit - 4.5 stars - wonderful texture, did not taste the garlic much but the lemon was really good add. * Grilled Beef and Pork Chipolata - 4 stars - I think the star was the dressing. The meat itself was just okay. * Rice Vermicelli Bowl - 4.5 stars - not sure why it is called a bowl when it was served more in a plate. This is the fusion take on the Vietnamese dish with different dressing. We selected the Galangal Pork, which I did not like as much compared to the usual Vietnamese ones with Lemon Grass. There is a choice to select Lemongrass chicken instead, so you might want to try that. The pork tasted "porky" despite it was thinly cut. I was hoping to try dessert, but we were full so we did not do that. Next time. The restaurant is nicely set, and you can select indoor or outdoor seating. The server should have set all their customer's expectations. They should've cleared out their first seating at least 30 minutes prior to their second seating! Fine. When we finally get to sit down and the hostess messed up the seating. They seated another party at our bar/counter seats. We knew because she called our name first but they got seated and when she called the other party, we realized she already sat down. Not only did she not fix it, she basically ignored it and pretended like she didn't make a mistake. She could've easily apologized to the other party and made them go to their assigned seat but nope. She made us sit where I clearly did not want to sit. It made us argue amongst ourselves and just created a terrible birthday evening. I did not enjoy it at all.
