I had an amazing dinner at gengis khan , food was hot , employees were nice . And there were plenty of places to sit . I do have one thing that opened my eyes a little They're charging more than 3% credit card fee .. they're charging 3.4% which is not much of a difference but for companies like this . They rely on you not wanting the receipt or even checking so they can scam you out of money ... not only that but the tax they're charging 10% which is a federal law , which will be reported , they have a tendency to delete my review , but I'm only bringing light to this situation , I will be contacting the bbb about the incident ...

    They pile the noodles high!

This is a nice spot to create a custom plate of really hot and fresh noodles. There's plenty of options but I wish they sliced the green onions and cilantro a bit more . The single bowl is easily good for two meals.

This place has some of the best Mongolian BBQ ever.. The ingredients are always fresh- both meats and veggies look, smell and taste wonderful. I absolutely love the sauce options, I always get medium AND spicy, lemon juice, garlic and all the other things they add to make it perfect- saucey noodles are what I come for! The portions are nice and hefty, I appreciate that. The restaurant is tucked in a nook, but was very clean and well kept when I went today. 7/30, a little after 11am, the lady helping us at the register was sooooo kind, happy and sweet, she took extra care of us! Will absolutely come back!

This is my childhood so this place gets a nostalgia factor boost HAHA They keep everything nice and clean (except the bottom of the tray can get a little sticky...) The flavors differ depending on who is pouring your sauces but overall for the price point (~$15) in this economy, I think it's a solid choice! Make sure you pack that frozen meat down to get the best bang for your buck ;)

    Perfect for a rainy day!

My man G.K. knows how to... Throw a dinner party... Host a lunch date... And if you're down for noodles at 10 a.m. ... Hook you up with a mean Mongolian Style Breakfast. This self serve, all you can fit in your bowl, Mongolian Style eatery is one of the newest food court options here at the Westfield Topanga Dining Terrace. It's simple: pay for your bowl, pack as much frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork, turkey) that you choose and top with as many veggies as you can stack high. At the end of the line, the staff will get you the sauces, mild/medium/spicy along with other options to make your bowl delish... They will add your bowl of goodies to their cooktop along with their Mongolian style noodles, or rice if you pay the difference. Now watch the magic happen! The cook with prepare your meal right in front of you and within minutes, you will be enjoy your handy work that you just stacked sky high. I've been here twice now and it's definitely a fan favorite already. Welcome to the neighborhood Gengis Khan!

Wow this spot was a definite yes! So freakin delicious! It's a restaurant inside the topanga mall so it's a little busy but worth it! My co workers and I were amazed of how thick the noodles were! They were as thick as a pencil lol! Not really but close! The ingredients were very tasty and the seasoning and sauces were perfectly made. The service was quick! And they gave a good amount of food! Definitely worth it.

I love Gengis Khan soooooooo much! I've waited for the day that the topanga location opened up and the social media account was nice enough to send me a message as soon as it opened! It's awesome they have the combo meal for $16 and some change you get a small drink, side of rice, soup, and your meal! I stopped by for lunch and it was a great decision. The service is quick and the spot is very clean. You get to choose any meat, veggies, seasonings you'd like. It's very fun and you know exactly what's going into your food! I definitely recommend and will mentioning to everyone that they're open!

Want noods all day this is the to go place for yummy egg noodle with any choice of meat and veggies that you can fit all in a bowl or hanging off your bowl to be exact. Love the help from the cook when they add sauces to your bowl after adding all the noods. May I have it spicy! Yes please! Prices are higher from what I remember but still same good taste.

I had the noodles with pineapples, baby corn, beef, bean sprouts, and chestnuts and it was beautiful. Highly recommend coming to this place. Super quick and delicious.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

Finally popped in after constantly seeing it on my FYP and it did not disappoint. I ordered the…read morespicy beef noodle soup combo which came with 4 dumplings and a beverage. The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

This is just my opinion, what a lovely and fun restaurant…read more Location: Parking lot is small, but the restaurant is lively and intimate. It is an interesting and welcoming restaurant and has a great atmosphere. I also love how the location has Japanese and Thai artwork all over. 4/5 Staff: The owner is super kind and helpful. I also thought that her staff was nice and attentive. 5/5 Price: I feel that the food is well priced and competitive. The serving portions meet my expectations and of course I will always say I want more, but that is unrealistic. 4.5/5 Food: Tonkatsu Chicken Curry Rice: Absolutely the dish I miss from Japan and this has that comforting dish vibe I used to have at home or in Japan. I highly recommend and love how this makes me warm and happy after eating it. 5/5 sorry no photo but my favorite dish Teriyaki Chicken Domburi: Simple, delicious, and just what I wanted. 4/5 Vegetable Tempura: Very light, delicious, and it is what it says it is. This isn't too fancy or trying to be different. 4.5/5 Conclusion: I had a great time here and I ordered a lot of food to go (sorry I do not have photos or reviews for everything). This is a place I recommend you stop here when you want some well done japanese dishes to cheer you up or need a heart filling dish. My Score: 4.5/5 Yelp Score: 5/5

The beef itself was flavored but wasn't too tasty, nothing the fish sauce helped with either. After the meal, I also enjoyed a cup of Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and this stuff was STRONG. I'm no stranger to this drink, but the coffee itself was fairly bitter and concentrated - more than normal. The condensed milk? Almost felt like a quarter can, too! Even after diluting it (through their ice) with half water, it was still too sweet and bitter - do not recommend. Paying was fairly easy, but it was through Zelle or cash - awkward! The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). We ordered Galbi Ugeoji Haejangguk (갈비 우거지 해장국), Galbitang (갈비탕), Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Samgyetang (삼계탕), and Yukgaejang (육개장). I placed the order before leaving work, and by the time I arrived about 15 minutes later, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. As a working mom, finding a restaurant that serves delicious food, offers great service, and makes takeout this effortless feels like striking gold. It saves me time in the kitchen while keeping everyone's tummies full and happy. Safe to say, Hodori has officially earned a permanent spot on our takeout list.

Absolutely terrible customer service…read more I came in with my two kids (ages 4 and 8). They were quietly waiting while we looked at the menu and were just moving the utensils around on the table like normal little kids. I politely asked if we could order regular meals to dine in and kids' meals to go. The younger employee simply said no, which was fine--I was only asking. Then an older Korean lady came over, got right in my face, and loudly said, "NO TAKE OUT!" The tone was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. Instead of treating us with basic courtesy, she made us feel like we weren't wanted there. As we were leaving, she pointed at my kids and shooed them away from the table because they had moved the utensils around. I was honestly speechless. I would never let my children trash a restaurant, and I would have cleaned up anything before leaving. To make it worse, this isn't the first time. On a previous visit, I watched this same older lady and an older man give my friends dirty looks and a nasty attitude over the tip, even though they had already left 18%. Charging around $35 for a single meal with rice comes with the expectation of decent hospitality. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the moment we asked a simple question. There are too many amazing Korean restaurants in Los Angeles to spend this kind of money and be treated this poorly. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers.
