Wow! Is all I can say. I am so grateful that I found this shop last night. He didn't have to do it but Tim fit me in to replace my alternator on my van. I called him when I got off work (at 5pm) on a whim since I saw that his shop was listed as OPEN NOW during the google search. He had me in there within 30 minutes after my part arrived. I can't say if this is a common practice or if I lucked out...either way, I am so grateful. I told Tim that I was tired of being ripped off by big business. AAA had replaced my alternator last year and its out again. I was 2K over the warranty so they would not help. I relocated from PA 4 years ago and missed my local mechanic. I got a good vibe from Tim right away. In talking to him, I could tell right away that he was an honest person. He was also very informative when he was fixing my car. He literally walked me through the repair every step of the way. I always thought that mechanic should operate their businesses like surgeons (with total transparency) and in some cases provide the clients the opportunity to see for themselves the process. Tim did not disappoint. At one point, he even took out a automotive stethoscope (LOL) and listened to the murmurs of my tensioner bearings. I tell you...I was impressed! He was also more reasonable than the other BIG SHOPS. I felt like he charged me what it actually costs to do the repair RATHER than some price so high that its absurd. $100 buck makes a difference when you are on a budget. He and Brandon were friendly, professional and so helpful. I give these guys top rating. I almost hate to leave a review because I want to keep them to myself LOL. Tim at the Late Night Speed Shop is a very fair and honest mechanic. I was getting ready to take my kids on our fall break trip to California and we had Tim look the car over. I was shocked and grateful to have him find that we needed new cross arms, ball joints and tie rods, along with new tires and an alignment. At the same time, he also found a problem with our gas tank and fixed that. I had honestly no idea there was that much wrong with my suburban, I just thought it was a bad alignment and maybe needed a new tire. Tim took photos of everything and when I called around to get pricing for the exact work I needed, he was less than everyone I called, and, he only used lifetime warranty parts. The car drives perfectly straight, takes bumps in the road with ease and our trip was a success. It really gave me peace of mind and I would highly recommend seeing them for anything you need. The funny thing is, when I went in, there were a bunch of race cars with huge engines, and I thought I was in the wrong place. Can't even begin to say enough good things about The Late Night Speed Shop. These guys went above and beyond to help me out. I honestly feel like they took care of me like I was one of their own. They took the time to show and explain to me what was going on, as well as put in the long hours to get the job done as soon as possible. They have great prices and are able to compete with others, friendly and highly knowledgeable staff. like I stated in the beginning there are just so many good things to say about this shop, and Tim is an extremely talented/passionate mechanic. These guys are great! Had a horrendous leak from the engine of my Cadillac CTS. I was leaking 2 quarts a week. Put the car on the lift and like the other two shops, they thought I had three separate leaks. Tim asked to leave the car there overnight to further investigate. Sure enough, it was a leak in one small area, tough to get to but manageable. A small gasket later and some reasonable labor costs and I'm leak free. Fair and honest shop and the reasonable bill was a bonus! Give them a try. read more

I recently went to this shop to have the brakes done on my 2003 Chevy Silverado and all I can say is WOW. They took the time to make sure everything was done correctly and that I understood the whole process with photo documentation and even taking me out there and physically showing me why my brakes had been making that awful grinding noise.
