Pizza slices, garlic knots, and Italian dinners such as spaghetti, parmesian, and ziti... guaranteed to be baked in a stone oven. I did not know the pizza slices were large, and I ended up getting two. I ate parts of both and I will say they are a-okay. They don't stand out, but they are good. Wouldn't mind eating these kinds of slices again. Pricewise, the food is average across the board even if you compare it to other Italian restaurants of this same ilk. Not saying it is good or bad, just not really a standout. Not below average. Just... average. On a sidenote, the service was decently kind and the restroom, well the men's restroom, was clean and stocked. Ergo, I am going to give this Mimmo's three-out-of-five stars. Average across the board, which doesn't mean it is bad nor good... just is. This means I will not purposely seek out this Mimmo's if I am ever hankering Italian food, but if I am hankering such food and this Mimmo's happens to be convenient, I wouldn't mind eating here. Genna Pizza Company is officially the best pizza I have had since moving back to Florida last year. After being spoiled for years with coal fired and wood fired pizza all over Scottsdale, I have had a hard time finding pizza in Florida that really hits the mark. I tried Genna Express before and thought it was okay, but it was missing that true coal fired flavor I was looking for. Today, I happened to be near the mothership, Genna Pizza Company, and I am so glad I stopped in. I ordered the special with 2 slices and a soda, sat at the bar, and got to watch the team in action. I watched one of the guys working the dough and could literally see the attention to detail that goes into their pizza. Then I saw the coal burning in the oven, and it all made sense. This is the flavor I have been searching for. The pizza was outstanding. Great crust, great flavor, and that authentic coal fired taste that is hard to find. The staff was friendly, the place had great energy, and the jam packed parking lot told the story before I even walked in. Genna Pizza Company is the real deal. Family owned, operated, Coal Fired Pizza that is HEAVENLY! The perfect ratio of sauce to ingredients, balance and an epicurean's perfect bite! Genna's never disappoints! Every visit reminds me why it's one of my favorite places. The service is consistently outstanding, with a friendly and attentive staff that always makes you feel welcome. This time I ordered the Margarita pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce was rich and full of flavor, the cheese was perfectly gooey, and the crust had just the right balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And if you've never tried the stuffed cannoli zeppole, you're truly missing out on one of the most incredible desserts you'll ever have! They come in an order of six, with warm, fluffy zeppole stuffed with the creamiest cannoli filling. The contrast of the warm dough and cool, velvety filling practically melts in your mouth. I can't understand how this place stays in business, I guess because the food is halfway decent. Every single time I place an order when I go to pick it up or my family they cannot find the order. Such a simple order but yet they can't seem to find it, honestly they really need to hire someone with some sense of intelligence that can take the orders and place them. What we need is a pizzeria that will come in with The same quality of food and have somebody that actually can take an order and not lose it and perhaps it will Smarten the owners up and realize what the major issue is with this place. Great food, excellent staff. I order from here weekly. There are some nights when I have ordered that phones have been crazy, but when I pick up my order the girls are extremely busy but go out of the way to greet us and make us feel welcome. Sometimes I have had to wait for my order but they are worth it. There is a girl with tattoos that has attitude when they are busy but this place is a great place can't wait to dine in when they are done with remodel. 8/21/2020 NO COVID SAFETY. Whatever they claim on social media, they do not do. Absolutely no mask enforcement, packed lobby, no social distancing. Employees had masks under their noses, and delivery drivers had no masks at all. Tons of foot traffic and no sanitizing between customers. Horrible to see from a place handling food. read more
