We tried this place the other night and the reviewers got it right, it was excellent! Places like this are the reason we use Yelp when we travel. We wouldn't have found this place without the app. We stopped in and had the buffalo chicken pizza and the Mac n cheese pizza, along with garlic knots. All the food was excellent, although the Mac n cheese we probably wouldn't get again. That pie would be much improved with more cheddar added to the top. The pasta on top didn't really taste like traditional Mac n cheese without it. The buffalo pie on the other hand was among the best we've ever had. We plan on stopping back in here any time we're in the area so we can try some of their other pizzas. read more

Bottom line: decent pizza but terrible customer service Decided to try this pizza place in the evening on my way home from work. Ordering via phone was alright. A little bit confusing because when they answered the phone the asked "did you just try and call". I ordered a pizza for pickup. I arrived when the pizza was promised to be ready. When I arrived there was a great deal of chaos at the register. Some issue on the phone with a customer waiting over an hour. Another customer with a pizza that had olives and was not supposed to contain them. Another order that had the wrong items altogether. After waiting my turn, the gentleman accepted payment for my order and then ran from the front to the back yelling to the rest of the staff asking if they had seen my pizza. He then came back to the front and told me it would be another 8 minutes. After 15 mins he came backed and asked my name and what I ordered. Then her replied, "Oh yah, we lost your ticket." About another 5 mins and I finally got my pie. All this is too much foolery and time wasted for me. read more

I looked this up based on the reviews. I was going to go with 4 not to seem too biased but I changed my mind. There were 3 other parties in there when we arrived, then another after. Clearly they maintain customer satisfaction. There was a server who had an awesome shirt on that said 'In Pizza We Crust.' Your standard accumulation of pizza boxes and business cards everywhere. My husband ordered a cheese and white slice. I ordered the Chicago slice. $5 for the 2 slices and a drink that time. The Chicago was $5. The negative that I do have is that the wait time was a little long for 3 slices. I am not sure what the hold up was, but due to the good reviews I tried not to be fussy. Pizza was great. I loved the sauce on mine. It also had meat, which I am not used to on it. Read the actually pizza menu, THEN look at the slice you want. My error. There was a olive oil added to the top of mine; unsure why. I recommend not doing this, unless you are trying to keep it from drying out. I just took it off with a napkin. Pizza was great though. My husband preferred the plain cheese. We also ordered some rainbow cookies to-go. For the price it was worth it. Our runner (she was not quite a server-STILL TIP!) she was very nice and able to answer any questions we had. When we were leaving the owner (I assumed) thanked us for coming in, and that he really appreciated our business. My order was piece mailed to my wife and I. The order came out wrong. Ordered Chicago Deep dish and received Detroit Deep dish. Waitress completely jacked the order up. Eggplant Parm ok but had skin on it. Cannoli cream was missing flavor, could only taste the chocolate chips. Order to fries 10 minutes to eggplant another 15 minutes to the wrong pizza which I took home cause I didn't want to wait another hour 40 minutes. Not going to go back. I wish I could give them 10 stars. We went there with my daughter and son-in-law who live in the area. My husband is from New York and asked is there anywhere that serves a white clam pizza and he was SHOCKED to hear that this place does and let me tell you he was floored. It was AMAZING, delicious and huge. Just one slice or two is more than enough for one person. I had the sausage and broccoli rabe and it to was outstanding. Y'all. This pizza is amazing! Coal fired is the best (extra basil of course) but I know that's a palate preference. Charlie is a staple to this community with his wife and children. Tyler, this review is for you!!! This is my third review of Genna Pizza Company because they NEVER disappoint! First off, the staff is fantastic! We walked in today and Tyler remembered us! Tyler and the other employees were so friendly and welcoming. The owner, Charlie, is so blessed to have found such great staff. They are usually running around like crazy because they are all so super busy, but they still take the time to be friendly and accommodating! Secondly, the food is always fresh and delicious! We ordered salads, subs, and pizza. My 13 year old, who is very picky, said the pizza was the best pizza he has ever eaten! He was so right! We live in Orlando with a ton of pizza places nearby, but we drive over an hour to eat at Genna's! We love, love, love this place! My wife and I went here on a recommendation. We both ordered personal coal fired pizzas. The server Brought mine after a long wait. My wife told me to start eating which I did since mine was getting cold waiting for hers. The server said she put my order in first, for what reason I have no idea. When I was almost done still no pizza for my wife. I asked the server where the pizza was. She went in the back and when she came out I asked her if she ever placed the order which she admitted she didn't. Bottom line was pizza was a bit oily but good. But the service is the worst. I can't understand how this place stays in business, I guess because the food is halfway decent. Every single time I place an order when I go to pick it up or my family they cannot find the order. Such a simple order but yet they can't seem to find it, honestly they really need to hire someone with some sense of intelligence that can take the orders and place them. What we need is a pizzeria that will come in with The same quality of food and have somebody that actually can take an order and not lose it and perhaps it will Smarten the owners up and realize what the major issue is with this place. The pizza is good. But dont believe the time. They quote 45 minutes. It really takes 1.5 to 2 hours. They make a lot of excuses why its not ready, but thwy should just tell you it will be 1 hour and 45 miniutes. That way you dont jave to wait around the store for 45 minutea to an hour. read more

When Genna pizza was owned by The Genna's, they brought the best American version of good authentic Italian pizza to town along with Mama Genna's delicious traditional recipient dishes. They served consistently great food over the years. Since then, they have been purchased by a new family who is doing a great job carrying on the quality you come to expect from this place. Typically with a sale comes a decline in quality and service, and the new purchase comes issues and budgetary changes in the menu and food quality. Surprisingly not in this case. The new owners have not only carried on with the great food we've come to love, but also expanded on the menu options. Great job Genna's in passing the torch, not throwing it into new hands and running. And nice job Charlie, for receiving the torch and running like hell with it. Hope to see you guys expand into neighboring communities. Give the local NY pizza monopoly a run for their money. Not fair to mention names, but you have a better product. read more

Yum yum! I think I have a new pizza place! We ordered the "Genna" pizza and loved it! It is thin crust and done perfectly. They have a coal fired oven also so you need to ask which pizzas are cooked in it. I still don't know. The place was busy but our service was great. I will certainly go back. read more

Hate to be that guy, but I have to dissent from the pack on this one. I came here for lunch and wasn't impressed. First, you notice that the place is cluttered and industrial items are just lying around or blocking counters/space that ought to be presentable to customers. I don't like to see disorganization in a restaurant because that's typically followed by sloppiness with keeping up to code. They've had health violations in the past. They do table service with tips and such even though most people just come in to eat slices. So, there's no middle ground between taking your food to go and doing the whole production of a sit down meal. My order of a couple slices took 20 minutes to make, which was a surprise since slices are usually a quick reheat. Combined with the table service, the slow cooking gobbled up my entire lunch hour. Ironically, I had only chosen to eat here because I thought it would be fast. The pizza was decent but certainly not out of this world. The crust was way too thick which is a common problem around this area. Melbourne has better options for pizza, like Amici's, Leaning Tower and Italy Italy. read more
