I wish Furrever Friends existed when my other dogs passed…read more Our dog, Franklin, died on Sunday. For over 11 years, he was a very important part of my family and friends. We are devastated. Not many crematoriums are open on Sundays. I called a number in Van Nuys that I found on Yelp, but the man referred me to Furrever Friends. I'm so glad he did. Heather at Furrever Friends was so kind on the phone and in person. She made the entire process very smooth and easy. She discussed everything with me - their strict cremation process, what to expect with the final package, etc. Honestly, I didn't ask; she just told me. I wasn't functioning very well that day. I picked up Franklin today after only a 4-day wait. At the shop, Heather surprised me with Frank's paw and nose prints on wood and paper! What a thoughtful idea! (I'm sure she told me about it on Sunday, but I really wasn't present.) I almost broke down in front of her when I saw his nose. We used to "boop" that thing! Frank himself is resting in a beautiful wooden box. He's coming home now. Heather, thank you so much for the amazing love and care you showed us! I won't forget you.

Last week on the 23rd right before christmas, my dog of 14 years passed away at home. I remembered my bsf used FF and I reached out to get their info. I contacted them immediately and was assisted by Heather. She was very kind and helpful over the phone, gave me all the info about the various packages they offer. They offer 3 different cremations packages (private, witness, and communal). I chose to go with private bc witness was more than double the price of private. However, don't be nervous about going with private bc they have numerous ways to ensure that you will be obtaining your pet's remains back even if you aren't able to witness the full process. The private package included a simple urn (a box), paw/nose impression, and fur clipping. In their viewing room, they have numerous urns to choose from and upgrade from the package. Although it was so close to the holidays, I was able to pick up my baby girl the day after christmas. They were kind enough to gift us with a bamboo impression of her nose and paw as an ornament as well. The whole service and communication was truly great. I had no doubt in trusting Heather and her family with taking care of my pet. You can feel how much they care about animals and their passion in helping families get closure and having a beautiful send off for their pets. I will definitely recommend Furrever Friends to all pet owners when it's time to say goodbyes to our fur babies.

I came across this place and they answered my call right away with so much kindness and empathy during such a difficult moment. I truly appreciated how compassionate and understanding they were throughout the entire process. Within just an hour or two, they were able to come pick up my boy, and they kept me updated every step of the way so I never felt left wondering what was happening. They communicated clearly, let me know when everything was ready, and made an incredibly painful experience feel a little less heavy. I also chose a package that included his fur clipping, a paw print, and a beautiful box for his ashes with his photo placed on the front. Receiving those keepsakes meant so much to me and made everything feel a little more personal and comforting during such a heartbreaking time. I'm truly grateful for the care, respect, and compassion they showed both me and my cat. Thank you again for helping me through one of the hardest moments of my life.

Scott is also good with these things, but I want to stress sth else I usually deliver my baby instead of having Scott pick it up, there's a peaceful sanctuary at his office. You would place your pet there and say your proper good bye, the process it feels more complete to me at least ... Scott is very patient and he gives a lot of time, he also has a lot cats, so I think he understands perfectly what every owner is going through, that we didn't just lose a pet. We lost a family. Scott gives a very peaceful and warm energy that you feel like you can entrust your pet with him and he would take good care of your pet. I think that's what every pet owner needs because we feel so vulnerable at a moment like this... Btw, He also doesn't take the payment until he is done with the service.

We have worked with Scott in the past and immediately called him after our fur baby had passed to schedule a pick up. Not only does Scott ease your heartache with his kind, comforting, and caring demeanor but he eases your grief during one of the most difficult and painful moments of your life. What is truly remarkable about Scott is that he has this Morgan freeman vibe to him. Somehow he brings peace to your heart knowing your pet is in the best hands possible. His prices are very reasonable and affordable if your pet passes after veterinary hours or over the weekend. Scott gives excellent detailed instructions, next steps, and turn around timeframes. There's a reason why he's so highly rated and why everyone recommends his services. He truly is the best and we can't thank him enough.

Dr. Kevin is a calming, reassuring presence, even via text. His compassion for these animals and their grieving owners is evident and genuine. He explained every step of the procedure to us, even details we requested, and tactfully addressed the possible outcomes of both the sedation and euthanasia. Even typing the word is difficult. I appreciated his further reassurance that it was the correct decision and at the right time when he saw the gravity of Xena's condition; I had no doubts, but it was still a balm to my heart to hear it from a professional. I was able to pet her throughout the entire procedure and up until the very last moment we assisted her onto the stretcher. I am so grateful I could spend those crucial final moments comforting her. We preferred communal cremation, so the rates were within the ballpark of other at-home services I had consulted with. However the stellar attentiveness, gentleness, and empathy that Dr. Kevin provided, in addition to his same-day availability on such short notice and all of the glowing reviews here, had my heart set on him from the beginning. Another reason we opted for him over other providers is because he is the one performing the procedure, so we knew what--and who--to expect. It felt much more intimate and personal than a service sending "someone" out. I believe this high caliber of care is how Dr. Kevin so seamlessly blends into the moment: he is another source of the palpable love resonating during such an intense, difficult experience. His demeanor was serene and respectful, and he allowed us plenty of physical and emotional space. Even as he was working, his being there felt as natural as any of my family members. Xena had a peaceful passing in her favorite sunny spot in the flowers, surrounded by her loving family at home. It was the ideal resolution for a harrowing situation, and Dr. Kevin made it possible. I cannot thank or recommend him enough.

Fortunately, Paw Cremations made this difficult process more bearable. I did most of my planning with Thomas who was so considerate and gentle in his demeanor. He was supportive in my grief and transparent about not only Paw Cremations' services, but the industry as a whole. I learned a lot about animal cremation from talking to him, and was able to make what I thought was the best choice for my cat with his guidance. We scheduled the pickup from my vet's office the next day, but at the last minute I was uncertain and wanted to do one more assessment. Thomas was very accommodating and flexible, allowing me to cancel our appointment and suggested I call later whenever I was ready, since they are a 24-hour service. Ultimately, we did euthanize my cat on that vet visit, and I called to arrange a pickup of her body later that night. Since Thomas was off at that time, I met with his father, Scott, who was also very warm and comforting after such an emotional day. A few days later, I got to meet Thomas when he delivered Cupcake's ashes. There are a few reasons Paw Cremations stands out: - As mentioned, the thoughtful and understanding customer service was foremost. - Second, I love how they refer to your companion animals as your "baby." My cat was my baby, and I appreciate that they treat animals as the family members they are. - Third, I was thankful Thomas took the time to decipher the industry terms around cremation for me, as private, individual, and group cremation are very different things, and flame cremation and aquamation are also different things. The industry terms can be deceptive to lay people, so it was helpful to learn from people in the know so I could feel confident in my choice. - Fourth, they don't try to upsell you anything; they don't exploit your grief. They are straightforward about what they offer and keep it simple. If you want an urn or paw print you can get one, but if you're budget constrained as I was, you still receive your companion's ashes in a respectfully wrapped gift box. - Finally, I like that the cremation chamber itself is painted (they show you a photo). It makes the tragic process of cremation a little bit better when you see they haven't commodified it; they thought to make this last stage of your companion's journey more aesthetic. I appreciated all of these details and was very glad to have found Paw Cremations in my time of need.
