They showed great and immense compassion and made me feel that they really understood the grief of losing a loved one. Over the phone I was guided through the process and informed of what to expect. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that I spoke with over the phone. His kindness and understanding was integral in helping me decide that this place, is the place I should choose for this type of service. Once we arrived, Annie helped us with the accommodations and the memorial. She prepared Ogre in the most beautiful setting and checked in on us for our needs. We were able to spend a great amount of time in a private room with our beloved Ogre, saying our goodbyes. The team at this location really embodies their "Built on Trust" slogan. I cannot recommend the team at this branch enough. They have so much empathy. I am glad I chose this place for Ogre. Thank you so much, especially to Annie and the gentleman I spoke with over the phone.

Not many crematoriums are open on Sundays. I called a number in Van Nuys that I found on Yelp, but the man referred me to Furrever Friends. I'm so glad he did. Heather at Furrever Friends was so kind on the phone and in person. She made the entire process very smooth and easy. She discussed everything with me - their strict cremation process, what to expect with the final package, etc. Honestly, I didn't ask; she just told me. I wasn't functioning very well that day. I picked up Franklin today after only a 4-day wait. At the shop, Heather surprised me with Frank's paw and nose prints on wood and paper! What a thoughtful idea! (I'm sure she told me about it on Sunday, but I really wasn't present.) I almost broke down in front of her when I saw his nose. We used to "boop" that thing! Frank himself is resting in a beautiful wooden box. He's coming home now. Heather, thank you so much for the amazing love and care you showed us! I won't forget you.

Last week on the 23rd right before christmas, my dog of 14 years passed away at home. I remembered my bsf used FF and I reached out to get their info. I contacted them immediately and was assisted by Heather. She was very kind and helpful over the phone, gave me all the info about the various packages they offer. They offer 3 different cremations packages (private, witness, and communal). I chose to go with private bc witness was more than double the price of private. However, don't be nervous about going with private bc they have numerous ways to ensure that you will be obtaining your pet's remains back even if you aren't able to witness the full process. The private package included a simple urn (a box), paw/nose impression, and fur clipping. In their viewing room, they have numerous urns to choose from and upgrade from the package. Although it was so close to the holidays, I was able to pick up my baby girl the day after christmas. They were kind enough to gift us with a bamboo impression of her nose and paw as an ornament as well. The whole service and communication was truly great. I had no doubt in trusting Heather and her family with taking care of my pet. You can feel how much they care about animals and their passion in helping families get closure and having a beautiful send off for their pets. I will definitely recommend Furrever Friends to all pet owners when it's time to say goodbyes to our fur babies.

When we knew it was time, my wife started to call vets while I tried to sneak in as much extra time with my boy as I could. I can't say Hearts and Halos was the first place that we called, but I can say that I'm so happy that we ended up using their services. Mari was at our house a little over 2 hours after we called. She had a kind and soft presence and was extremely empathetic. She made what is an unavoidably brutal experience just a little bit more manageable. I'm incredibly grateful that this type of service exists. Being able to spend his last moments with him in the place that we were certain he was comfortable and at ease was invaluable.

We had the pleasure of Dr. Susan Chao come out to our home on Friday, March 20. We had a 9 am appointment (the first one of the day) and she arrived a little before. She had called me about 15 minutes prior to let me know that she would be arriving within 15 minutes. When she arrived, my husband and I greeted her and had her walk to our backyard, as this was the place I had wanted for our little girl because she loved being in the backyard to sunbathe. Dr. Chao was wonderful at guiding us through the process, explaining every step of the way and allowing us to take our time to say goodbye to Muffin. She also allowed us to give Muffin treats during the process (Muffin's last meal was a chicken nugget from Burger King and pureed chicken that Dr. Chao brought, which Muffin really did enjoy eating). Dr. Chao also did cut a piece of Muffin's fur for us to keep and placed it in a small plastic box, which she put in a small mesh bag and gave it to us as a keepsake. Muffin passed away on March 20, 9:31 am. Dr. Chao gave us some time to spend with Muffin right after and just walked towards the side of the house so that we could have privacy. Afterwards, she placed Muffin in a basket and then we walked with her towards the front of the home so that she could take Muffin with her to eventually be cremated. About two weeks later, I contacted Hearts and Halos to ask if Muffin's ashes were ready for us to pick up (please note that the company can also mail your pet's ashes to you, but we just preferred to pick it up in person). I had a hard time getting ahold of them via telephone, so I emailed the company and was able to arrange for a pickup time. I was told via email that someone was supposed to contact us that day that I had emailed them about Muffin's ashes though... This past Thursday, my husband and I went to Gardena to pick up Muffin's ashes (please note that Hearts and Halos office is now in transition to moving to Hungtinton Beach). When we arrived, an employee came out and gave us a small gift bag, that held her ashes, seeds to plant in her memory and also a small brochure regarding aftercare and additional resources for the grieving process. I do like the box that her ashes came in and also I love the small wooden heart with her name engraved on it and a small halo right above her name. The total cost for these services is $840 (you can pay via check, cash or credit card). You can also have additional items, such as an urn (which cost $60) or your pet's paw print, that will cost extra. If you do not wish to have your pet's ashes back, the cost would go down to $675, in which your pet will be part of a communal process to preserve their ashes and then will be scattered in the company's memory garden. Just as a price comparison, when we had to put down our other 2 dogs at the vet (both of our other dogs were of an emergent case and so we would not have been able to plan for their euthanasian earlier and so we would not have been able to utilize these home euthanasia services even if we had known about them at the time), at minimum, it would have cost $455 if we had made an appointment and had this service done during the day. However, both times we had to rush our dogs to the vet were during after hours and without an appointment, so the cost was around $560, which also did include their ashes. So, these home pet euthanasia services can cost an additional $100- $300 more but we felt it was worth the cost. We did not have to rush and deal with the stress and anxiety of the car ride from our home to the vet and also sit in the waiting room while they prep our dog and then say goodbye to them in the vet's office (where both of our dogs really hated going to the vet). The ability to allow Muffin to be in the comfort of her own home and to have foods that she enjoyed during the process was worth it for us. I highly recommend home pet euthanasia at home if you can afford it. I like to think that this was the much better choice for Muffin and hope that she was happy with her chicken treats right before she left us, keeping her in good spirits than to be stressed and anxious if we had chosen to bring her to the veterinarian instead. Thank you Hearts and Halos for helping us during this process.

I found Rainbow Bridge and after a few hours I called them around 3am and Franciny answered right away. She was so compassionate and listened to me and comforted me over the phone. For pricing it is dependent on the weight and size of your dog, my ~20lb dog being $300 for the pickup, cremation, urn and ashes, and drop off with a clay keepsake of your pets paws. Gelver picked up Mochi a few hours later and it was a quick process. He was able to carry her from my house to the van and we had a long conversation before he drove off, and had lots of care and compassion. He brought Mochi's ashes back less than a week later (on Thanksgiving week) in a wooden urn with a clay keepsake of her paws. I ordered an extra clay keepsake for $35 . I really appreciated that they pick up and drop off, and Gelver was very kind and gentle and was such a hard worker. You can tell these two have much love for pets. I was devastated as my cat…read morewas dying, and having to research euthanasia and cremation options in her final days was such a distraction from spending time with her. Fortunately, Paw Cremations made this difficult process more bearable. I did most of my planning with Thomas who was so considerate and gentle in his demeanor. He was supportive in my grief and transparent about not only Paw Cremations' services, but the industry as a whole. I learned a lot about animal cremation from talking to him, and was able to make what I thought was the best choice for my cat with his guidance. We scheduled the pickup from my vet's office the next day, but at the last minute I was uncertain and wanted to do one more assessment. Thomas was very accommodating and flexible, allowing me to cancel our appointment and suggested I call later whenever I was ready, since they are a 24-hour service. Ultimately, we did euthanize my cat on that vet visit, and I called to arrange a pickup of her body later that night. Since Thomas was off at that time, I met with his father, Scott, who was also very warm and comforting after such an emotional day. A few days later, I got to meet Thomas when he delivered Cupcake's ashes. There are a few reasons Paw Cremations stands out: - As mentioned, the thoughtful and understanding customer service was foremost. - Second, I love how they refer to your companion animals as your "baby." My cat was my baby, and I appreciate that they treat animals as the family members they are. - Third, I was thankful Thomas took the time to decipher the industry terms around cremation for me, as private, individual, and group cremation are very different things, and flame cremation and aquamation are also different things. The industry terms can be deceptive to lay people, so it was helpful to learn from people in the know so I could feel confident in my choice. - Fourth, they don't try to upsell you anything; they don't exploit your grief. They are straightforward about what they offer and keep it simple. If you want an urn or paw print you can get one, but if you're budget constrained as I was, you still receive your companion's ashes in a respectfully wrapped gift box. - Finally, I like that the cremation chamber itself is painted (they show you a photo). It makes the tragic process of cremation a little bit better when you see they haven't commodified it; they thought to make this last stage of your companion's journey more aesthetic. I appreciated all of these details and was very glad to have found Paw Cremations in my time of need.
