I've lost 1700$ worth of photo paper, film, and products because the unit regularly reaches 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. STAY AWAY. If the heat is fine for you there's rats that will chew everything as well. The kicker is that when I called to complain the guy at the front desk just insisted on talking over me the entire time.

When I finally checked out today at about 11 a.m, I asked the employee if he had been promoted to manager. His response was rude and unprofessional. He said "if you want information call the Salem manager." The tone of voice said it all!! This is the same employee who accused me of being in arrears when he first started working there. I had NEVER and NEVER have made a late payment. Though the purpose of this review is to help other people looking for storage. I would like to point out that JIM, a long-term, part time employee has ALWAYS been helpful, polite and wonderful in every way. He himself earns a five star rating *****, but sadly not everybody has Jim's high standards for customer service.

The crew of three guys came to our place and moved everything from Salem, MA to Kittery, ME in 1/2 a day. They were quick and safe with our items. My only qualm was that one of the guys were complaining about his back hurting and it was a bit uncomfortable as they were being paid to help us move our boxes. We are moving again in a few weeks and are using Trowt again!

I don't typically write/post reviews, but am doing so now so anyone looking for storage in the Danvers area can know there should be no other place to look, other than this Public Storage location! We had our belongings moved across the country on an 18-wheeler truck, from Los Angeles, CA to Danvers, MA. The truck arrived just last week. Eric was instrumental in making sure all went smoothly, from the beginning to end: * helping us in reserving, and securing/paying for the 3 storage units we needed * filing out the hole for the lock on the door to one of the units we are renting because the lock wasn't fitting right * temporarily (approx. just an hour) accommodating the entry for the Public Storage tenants via the "Exit" gate on the property because the size of the moving truck that brought our belongings was so big it obstructed the "Entry" gate * offering ice cold water bottles to me and the driver and movers (as it was an extremely warm and humid morning) Eric's professionalism, and his kind, welcoming and courteous demeanor, along with his personal touch of service with a smile, made all the difference from this storage facility vs. any others I've experienced. And I've certainly experienced other storage facilities, as over the years in Southern CA I've previously used: Farmer's Market Storage (at The Grove in LA) Clutter.com, and StorQuest (in Long Beach, CA) - all nice facilities, but could never rival the customer service I experienced with Eric. You can tell Eric takes pride in his work, and with the assistance of Ana (whom I met the day the movers arrived and is just as professional and courteous as Eric), they make sure the facility inside and out stays clean and in tip top shape!
