Stopped in for a quick bite. Very quiet place. A very small bar. Service was quick. Had a couple bud lights. 3 ny style Weiners. Frigin absolutely delicious. The turkey club was fresh as could be. Fries were awesome. Crispy. Prices were reasonable.

We came in for breakfast expecting diner food and that's exactly what we got. It was good experience and the food was pretty good but nothing extraordinary or creative - which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The staff were all friendly and if you're looking for a place to play the lotto, they've got it! I got steak and eggs with home fries and an English muffin. It was all slightly greasier than I wanted and the steak lacked a little bit of flavor - once I added a heavy shake of salt and pepper I was content. I was a bit surprised by the steak not being a star since they have three separate meals that come with it. The home fries are delicious! My partner and I got a banana pancake to split and it was fluffy and buttery- probably our favorite part. Lastly, the only sign on the outside of the building I saw just says "restaurant", which made us uncertain if we were at the intended restaurant but also made me chuckle. Good spot to stop when you're in the area and looking to scratch the diner itch!

Fast, friendly and delicious. We came in for a late breakfast and the service was fast, the food was hot and everything was tasty. They regularly checked on us to make sure that our drinks were full and we had all the condiments we needed. I had the farmers plate, we also had burgers and wings and cheeseburger club. We love the fries. They were hot and crispy. Parking was easy and free, restaurant was clean. Coffee was really good. We will be back.

Good breakfast, quick friendly service! Tried getting into another breakfast place in chepatchet and was left. Waiting for 20 minutes with no service, so we were very happy to come here and turn the day around!

Gentleman Farmer is a place I've been coming from what I was in high school At Ponaganset back in the 90s. This isn't a 5-star establishment, maybe 4, but because of the nostalgia. As a senior at Ponaganset, my brother, best friend and I would come here after school every day. Today I live in Providence and not Glocester so I don't get here as much. Usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning for breakfast and they're still doing it right. Don't come expecting anything fancy at all, it's a diner. The home fries (which I use as a benchmark for any diner) are fantastic! They have great breakfast meals, and they have interesting specials from time to time. The staff has always been friendly, the prices are cheap and you will leave full.

A great diner / family restaurant in northern Rhode Island. Definitely worth doing by on your way from Boston to NYC or if you happen to be in the area. The clan strips were battered and fried perfectly, light and crispy. Pot roast was fall apart tender. The fried chicken we do crunchy on the outside and most and juicy on the inside. You can tell everything was prepared fresh and the service was very friendly.

Good food, friendly service, and the small town feel you'd expect from the name! If you're visiting Chepachet (great for antiquing) you'll definitely want to fuel up at this little diner on your way into the village, where there is not much else in the way of sit-down family dining. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating to our kiddo, service was on the slower side, but the food was worth the wait and we were not in a rush so we were satisfied. The yankee pot roast is something worth craving, and I'd order it again at every opportunity. Can't wait to return!

You have to love this place. It has an old-time feel to it, but what exactly it is, is hard to explain. Its a bar. its a diner, its a Keno parlor, its a pizza and grinder shop, its all of the above. Its deceptively large inside with 20 or so booths. The big diner-like menu has it all - sandwiches, breakfast foods, pizza, grinders, and daily specials. I ordered an Italian grinder and a soft drink and it was less than $8 for a very nice sized sandwich that didn't skimp on the meat.. There's not many food choices on this lonely stretch of road, but now I know that the Gentleman Farmer is a very dependable stop to refuel.

Great spot while we we're Antiquing in Rhode Island. Haddock was a little over done but the flavors were great and the inside was still soft and juicy melt in your mouth. The coleslaw was one of the best I have had and the mashed potatoes were just perfect for the comfort food craving I was looking for!! The waiter was delightful. Perfect Little New England town diner! Will stop again when back in the area. They also had options on the menu for kids. Social distancing guidelines in place for covid-19.

There is also a very bountiful selection of desserts. Today I went with the maple bacon slices and garlic knots as appetizers and both were delicious. For my mains I picked the baked stuffed shrimp and the prime rib. The prime rib was excellent so I actually went back for seconds. I had a baked potato plus a small salad for sides. The maple bacon was very good and since it is kind of hard to find in restaurants I went ahead and got a couple of more slices of it to top off my dinner. Their dessert bar has so many different offerings that it wasn't easy to decide on what I wanted but I ended up picking a slice of carrot cake along with a brownie plus a dollop of whipped cream to add to the brownie. One of the things I like about their dessert bar is that the servers there give you the option of only getting a half slice of their cakes which is great because that way you're saving room to try even more of their options instead of getting too full from just one thing. It's really the best way to go and you will get to try more of their delicious desserts that way. They have plenty of options here for food and no one ever leaves hungry. We arrived almost an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation but they were nice enough to let us sit down and start dining right away. And we were all hungry when we got there so it was nice that they let us dig in early. We had Josh as a server and he was a pleasure to deal with. He is very attentive and helpful. He even gave my mother some good tips on cracking the lobsters and getting the meat out more easily which was very much appreciated. He was great as far as clearing plates, refilling beverages and making sure we were satisfied with our meals. A very good worker and a skilled waitperson. I stopped into the gift shop after the meal and they had a nice beer glass with their Nordic logo on it as a gift to me for dining with them during my birthday week. The outdoor grounds were nice to hang out and relax for a while before the drive back to Boston. They have benches and hammocks set up plus it was great to see the live animals such as horses and alpacas that they have on the property. They also had a music band playing outside for entertainment. Superb food and a great dining experience. I am already looking forward to our next visit!
