Cindy's Diner & Restaurant I met old coworkers here for breakfast. They have been here before but this was my first time, we were a party of 5. I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in. This place seems very popular it was busy from the time I walked in to the time I left but yet there seemed to be a wait time that you wouldn't even notice. The menu has a little of everything as does the drink menu. I couldn't decide between a coffee with plenty of flavors, a chair or chocolate milk but at the end hell I went with a Mimosa lol. My breakfast was eggs, home fries, toast and corn beef. I am very particular on my corn beef has and even though it came out just how I like it I felt it lacked flavor, my coworker got the same thing and agreed with the lack of flavor. The rest of the meal was good. This is a busy place but even so you don't feel crowded in and it's a nice relaxing chill spot. We recently stopped in here to meet a friend for lunch. This gave me traditional old school diner vibes immediately walking in. The food was great and that had a large selection on the menu. There breakfast options were delicious and the waitresses were incredibly friendly. Would definitely pop in again for some "greasy spoon diner" food. read more

The best best best place!! My family and I love it here and I always bring my out of state friends here when they're visiting. Very yummy and affordable food. The staff really goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. A few weeks ago me and my friend went and sat outside and got harassed by bees! (It happens they live outside!). We were moved inside promptly and nobody made us feel bad about it. The apple pie mimosa is to die for! Pickled beets, ham dinner, my partner is very fond of the very hungry special and hot coffee. Service was okay. Waitress only came by to check to see why I wasn't eating my cold lasagna. Shame on me for choosing this kind of meal at a diner and the cost of 18.00 WAS NOT WORTH IT. It was obviously not cooked by the look of the shredded mozzarella on top. The garlic bread had green stuff on top mixed with the garlic. Probably dried basil but made it look unappealing. I had to ask what the green stuff was and got a snotty answer from the waitress that brought it over. I had to send my meal back and by the time it came back my family was done with their meal. Our waitress also did not come by to check to see if we needed refills on our drinks. My husband's omelet and hash wasn't the greatest to write home about either. The meat inside wasn't cooked that well. My advice is don't go to this diner at peak time for nothing other than an easy quick pick like BLT or breakfast that they can handle and not mess up. They will ignore you and when you ask about what a particular thing is on your toast give you a snotty answer (not our waitress) or force you to take your meal home to eat alone without your family as you shouldn't have eaten with them. I understand that, for our waitress, the temperature of food is not her fault. But having another waitress that brought it over be nothing other than nice about it and brush you off other that trying to make it right with the customer is one of the reasons I am letting others know about this poor experience. read more

Tried this place for the first time this weekend, and it was pretty great overall. The service was super friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Country Benedict, which was overall pretty good. The home fries are not my favorite. I asked for well done, and my partner did not. Both versions were just OK. The muffins are delicious, and the coffee was very good. My partner tried the special pancakes with apples, and he loved them. Definitely looking forward to trying this place again. read more

Food is good. Pricing is very fair. My gripe would be the service! The servers seem pleasant but once they deliver your food- say goodbye. Literally have to flag someone down. This has happened twice during non peak breakfast hours. Very disappointing to be ignored. And don't even think of getting a refill for your drink. Such a shame as the food is great! read more

Diner food is some of our favorite food! We aren't regulars here but we do find ourselves at Cindy's a few times a year. We were lucky to get a seat immediately but this place can get full at times (always a good sign). They have the typical diner menu for breakfast, not sure about dinner because we haven't had dinner here in a while. I had peanut butter flavor coffee which was really good. I also ordered the kind of hungry special and hubs ordered the two eggs, toast, home fries and added on a side of beans. Food came out nice and hot and was delicious! Waitress kept the coffee flowing. Bathrooms are clean and otherwise has the usual diner vibe. We will be back! read more

This is a solid breakfast place. There's indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. I ordered the Italian sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on an English muffin with a side of home fries. I wish the sausage was cut a bit thinner and that it was grilled a little longer. Despite the generous amount of sausage, you could still taste the egg and cheese and English muffin which was good. I liked that the English muffin was toasted but not hard--rather soft in the center and a little crispy on the edges. The least enjoyable part of my breakfast were the home fries. I've driven by this old-school diner on Rt 6 countless times. Lucky for us that there's actually a traffic light right there cause Rt 6 is a deathtrap and I hate crossing traffic anyway. Anyway, we sat outside at a picnic table. The young woman who served us was sweet. I treated myself to a Reuben with my extra 1000 Island on the side for dipping. I'm finicky about cole slaw and theirs passed the test; creamy, but not too, and with a bite. My friend got a classic meat 'n' potatoes diner meal and said it was great. We finished off our lunch with Grape Nut pudding. Cindy's is a find and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

The best dinner on Route 6 ! I have been a patron of Cindy's Dinner for a number of years now. The staff has always been professional, helpful, and cheerful. The customer feels welcome whatever the hour, and the food is always high quality. Since COVID they have added patio seating which is a nice option with great weather. The bathrooms are always clean, and the staff appears family and youth friendly. My son likes the pancakes. I usually get breakfast with baked apples. The latter is a sort of signature dish at Cindy's. I've also tried the special squad and baked apple soup. The steak tips is a good option if one is looking for high protein or beef. Breakfast is served all day. There are baked goods and deserts including freshly baked pies. My waitress today was Sabrina, and she was flawless. This place has become a tradition with me and my daughters when we are doing a daddy-daughter day. The food is great and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and prompt. They are definitely kid friendly. They have a little toy and book section in the back and it's become part of our tradition to bring something to leave and exchange something new when we visit. My kids even deem little things they see in stores as "let's get that for Cindy's!" During the summer they have a terrace on the side of the diner that they open and they usually set out some lawn games and toys for the kids nearby. Another part of our tradition of daddy-daughter days during these adolescent years is to visit playgrounds on a circuit tour during the day. I have been to Cindy's three times so far and each time the food quality has been consistently good. Each visit has been at lunch time and each time I tried a different section of the menu. They have a 'specials' menu and offer beer and wine for those who like a little tipple with their meal. The waitstaff are very friendly and pleasant. The diner is cute with homey curtains in the windows and the expected swivel stools at the counter and mostly booth seating. Although there are a few things that could use a bit of repair, the bathroom is updated and it's a diner, you come here for the comfort food and friendly waitresses and they have both of those. The menu offers a variety of foods including all the breakfast foods, burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, steak, chicken, pasta and seafood. They pretty much have you covered no matter what you are in the mood for. As diners go, and I really do like a good diner, this one has got it going on. I grabbed a tuna sandwich 'to go' and the service was super quick! They offer a wide variety of breads for the sandwiches and the 'lettuce, tomato and onion' options. The tuna was good quality and the sandwich stuffed full. The baked haddock off the specials menu may have been a bit well done, but it was still quite good and came with a side of real mashed potatoes. I think they leave the lumps in there so you know they are the real McCoy. You have several options for the side veg, I chose the pickled beets which were a bit sweet. Only thing I would have liked added was a lemon wedge - which I could have asked for. My fav usually goes for a sandwich and has tried the steak and chicken parm. They have a chicken parm meal too, but he decided he wanted bread, not pasta. He scarfed them both down, so I'm guessing he agrees: the food here is good. read more

Cindy's is always good. I have been going there for many years and have never been disappointed. When my father was alive we used to go there and get the Yankee pot roast or a turkey dinner and those kinds of home style meals that you don't always have time to make at home anymore. And it's always good and always fresh. The desserts are made fresh and it really is one of those old style diners where you can depend on the food being good and served quickly. I had an egg sandwich for breakfast which was a Western omelet on an English muffin. I couldn't even eat it all because it was a whole omelet inside an English muffin and I had ordered it because I thought it would be a light meal. It was absolutely delicious and the next time I'm in the mood for a bigger breakfast I'm certainly going to go back and get that. The service is always quick and the restaurant has looked the same for as long as I can remember but is clean and a pleasure to go to. read more

We stopped in for a late lunch (around 2pm) on a whim. The waitress was efficient and friendly. The menu looked like a typical diner menu with diner fare. I noticed "fish tacos" as a special. I went for it. The best fish tacos I've had in years. Crispy white fish and the sauce were outstanding. My wife had the BBQ burger and was extremely happy. Fresh cut potato fries/wedges. Including a better than 20% tip the bill was barely $40.00. Fresh coffee at lunch. Another great surprise. I would go there at the drop of a hat.
