    Irish Benedict

Loved everything about Cindy's Diner and the Irish Benedict. The retro diner vibes and cozy interior instantly set the mood, like stepping into a classic breakfast spot with charm and personality. The Irish Benedict was rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked, with great balance and flavor in every bite. Portions were satisfying without being overwhelming. Service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. It's the kind of place you want to linger, sip coffee, and come back to again and again, very soon again.

Tried this place for the first time this weekend, and it was pretty great overall. The service was super friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Country Benedict, which was overall pretty good. The home fries are not my favorite. I asked for well done, and my partner did not. Both versions were just OK. The muffins are delicious, and the coffee was very good. My partner tried the special pancakes with apples, and he loved them. Definitely looking forward to trying this place again.

Diner food is some of our favorite food! We aren't regulars here but we do find ourselves at Cindy's a few times a year. We were lucky to get a seat immediately but this place can get full at times (always a good sign). They have the typical diner menu for breakfast, not sure about dinner because we haven't had dinner here in a while. I had peanut butter flavor coffee which was really good. I also ordered the kind of hungry special and hubs ordered the two eggs, toast, home fries and added on a side of beans. Food came out nice and hot and was delicious! Waitress kept the coffee flowing. Bathrooms are clean and otherwise has the usual diner vibe. We will be back!

Difficult to figure out what door to go in. Large parking lot that filled up on trivia night. Drinks are cheap but my server stated she was only 18 and wasn't sure what beers or hard ciders they had, had no idea what an Angry Orchard was when I requested one. My friend's sangria glass was filled 70% with ice and she did not recommend it. I do like that they serve breakfast all day and breakfast item pricing was low and reasonable. Some apps and seafood dishes had a higher price than the atmosphere dictated. The dining area smelled like urine and looked outdated. I'd come for a cheap glass of beer and maybe a late day breakfast, but not much else.

I had the hot wieners and let me tell you they were the worst I have ever had. Fries tasted frozen and tasteless. The sauce on wieners was brown and and tasted like meat from shepherds pie no celery salt. My granddaughter had a small grinder and came home and vomited. She said it tasted funny and didn't finish it. Service was not very good but waitress seemed unsure of what to do. No refills on water forgot drink that came with order. Will not be back sorry to say. I certainly don't understand how they got any positive reviews. Bar atmosphere.

I knew I needed to do two things in that hour, the first was to eat some lunch and the second was to hit up a small antique shop, and the Shady Acres Diner helped me do one of those things. This old school style diner sits right on the side of the road and looked like that classic New England diner I loved so much as a kid. The one things I didn't eat while out east yet when I came here was Clam Chowder so I sat at the counter and ordered some clam chowder and a side of house cut french fries for lunch. The employee behind the counter was very friendly and delightful to talk too, and when the food came out it was exactly what I wanted out of this lunch. The french fries were crispy and delicious and the bowl steaming hot bowl of clam chowder really hit the spot. The flavour was great, and if i'm being honest I 100% dipped the french fries in it too, I was living my best life at the counter. Overall, Shady Acres Diner is a charming New England diner and somewhere I'm glad I stopped for lunch at. I may of only spent a little bit of time in Rhode Island on this trip, but thanks to some great food I'll remember it fondly!

I sat at the counter behind Kelly, the woman who I suspect is the owner but was running that grill like a well oiled machine. She works on a 3 ft grill and to do that you have to be organized and fast. She was exactly that. The diner itself is old school, homey, the epitomy of comfort. Tin walls, pictures of family and staff scattered about, and a sign that says "We can't direct the wind, we can adjust the sails" words of wisdom. Regulars come in are greeted by name, and have their custom orders. You can see the lasting impact this place has had on the community. Before long, Kelly herself put my two eggs and sausage plate in front of me. She takes a lot of pride in her work and she should. The potatoes were seasoned well, a good mix of crunchy bits and softer pieces. The eggs were textbook over easy. Couldn't have asked for a better breakfast. I saw a few other items on their menu I want to try, and this diner is a convenient spot between where I live in Johnston and where I work in East Greenwich. I look forward to stopping in again and paying Kelly another visit.

We came in at about 11:10 am as they were probably at about 2/3 capacity the last hour before shutting down for their 2 week vacation period. It took some time to get our breakfast once the order was placed but not an unreasonable amount of time. Plus the atmosphere was relaxing. We sat at the counter as all the booths were full. And I have to admit, eating at the countertop was relaxing. I ordered the JD muffin which is a grilled English muffin with bacon and fried egg for ~$5.95. The outside of the muffin was soft compared to the crisp inside. It was deliciously tasteful with crispy grilled bacon and egg. Much more tasteful than those egg muffins that one can purchase elsewhere at those widespread coffee shops. My partner had a #7 with a side of bacon including 2 eggs scrambled, 2 bacon slices, home fries, 2 pieces of toast and 2 thick tasty plain pancakes of which I had one. I don't usually have plain pancakes but these were very tasty and fluffy. Both of our coffees, hot and iced, came with free refills. We wished the staff a great vacation and left, knowing that this is our new "goto" breakfast restaurant.
