What a great job vacuuming and dusting the inside! I was excited for my first experience getting a detail. I usually keep my car very clean but alas this was my first car with cloth seats (I'm so spoiled by leather seats) and when COVID hit, like many others, I had to break my "no eating in the car" rule due to social distancing in the work lunch room forcing me to take lunches in my car. And being a long haired girl, my carpet was so knitted up with hair you would've thought a cat got in here (lol, nope, just ya girl). After they were done, the inside of my car was looking good, my tires were nice and clean, and my carpet looked brand new. Devon explained that the package I chose doesn't come with hot water extraction so while my cloth seats will look clean on the surface, any spilled material soaked inside may not be fully eliminated. I really appreciated that he wasn't even trying to upsell me, he was trying to make sure I fully understood what I was getting. When I asked how much it was to add hot water extraction, he told me that it looks like I only needed it on the one seat with the stains so it would only be an extra $10. Devon also followed up with me after they were done about the stuff he couldn't get off the exterior passenger side bottom of the car, that he had tried with a washing mitt so he felt that it must be paint or tar left over. Pros: You can wait here in their waiting room or come back. Since the estimated wait time for the $100 signature foam bath detail was 30mins per their website, I opted to wait there. The waiting room is a cozy little room with 2 comfy leather chairs and they continuously offered chilled water bottle to me while I wait. It ended up being longer which I didn't mind as I came prepared to wait (I prefer it when people don't do a rushed job, so it was a plus for me) and their waiting room chairs were so comfy. Devon even gave me a heads up when he was almost done. I had quite a few things inside my car, and Devon was kind enough to let me take it out when he pulled my car into the shop for the interior cleaning. Devon even shut the door to the waiting room because the pressure cleaning is quite loud. Cons: - Signage was not obvious to me from the street when driving here, but when you pull up into the lot then you will see their banner for detail. You know you are there if you're in the lot with another auto shop called Hanks. - Driver side door wasn't cleaned or shined as stated in package but when I asked if something could be done about the sunscreen marks all over, they took care of it for me. - not sure if the steering wheel needed to be moisturized but after they were done, it looked ashy for the lack of a better term TLDR: delivered on what I paid for without any pestering of upsells. Ok...I'll break this down in two parts: Customer Service and Quality of Work. CS - before I even had work done there, I called twice to ask a few questions. The calls were about a month or two apart. Both times I spoke to the owner, Hector. Let me tell you, this dude spent 20 minutes on the phone with me the first time and about 15 minutes the second time. Not only did he answer my questions, but he educated me on the questions I answered. He took the time to ask me what/why and was able to give me knowledge on things I didn't even think about. QoW - WOW. F'n wow. I purchased a graphene coating and window tint. I took my brand new F150 from the dealership straight to him. I thought new paint looked great, but after a two-stsge paint correction and the graphene coat, my paint looks like it's wet...all the time. Dust hardly sticks to it, rain doesn't spot, it's unreal. He even detailed the inside which somehow looked better than when I bought the truck the day prior. Hector truly cares and is passionate about his craft. It shows in his work. On top of that, the price was unbeatable and offered more (paint correction, detail, etc) than anyone else around. I would recommend Hector and Genuine Auto Detail a thousand times over. To have that level of customer service along with the quality of work is something you can't easily find. Even if you have a guy, or a place already picked out, just call or go by the shop. Honestly, had I known how much damage "car wash" places do to your paint and presentation of your ride, I would have bought two buckets with my very first car. But now, quite possibly, 10 or 15 cars later, I'm forced to take better care. I find myself here at Genuine Detail removing the abuse of swirl marks, scuffs, and a negligible bad paint job by the dealership. I read countless reviews from other places, and took a leap of faith to come over for a in person visit after calling. Super knowledgeable, Devin, walked with me around the car and I pointed out all my defects (well the car) and he explained the processes, potential outcome and set my expectation - along with the time frame. Now, for real, pictures can't really do it justice.. but if you could see in my before and after pictures - take a good look. The car is like glass, butter, placid, ice.. call it what you will quite simply, shiny AF. Mind-blown! No swirls, no orange peel effect from the negligible dealer paint job, nor any scuffs. Additionally, they decontaminated my insides (of the car) - heaven knows I needed it - the car, too. Not a speck of dust, even the cup holders, door pulls, dash and in the a/c vents. The only time it's been this clean was probably when it was assembled at the factory. Don't mind me, I waited also, to take pictures weeks later. Just because, I'm like that. :) still glass! I'm a bit delayed in writing this review by a couple of weeks but I must say, Devin and his team are truly the best at what they do! I came in with excessive water damage due to my car being next to my sprinkle...which I unfortunately left untreated for months so the water damage had gone under the paint. Devin was kind enough to offer a consultation first, and spent his time showing me how to the different recommended methods of taking out the marks. I dropped it on another day and when I picked it up, I was shocked! My car looked even better than the day I bought it! Ooh I found myself in a smelly predicament! A container of water and a broken bag dirt had broke in the back. I tried to clean it myself but the problem was bigger than I could handle since I hadn't realized that the water had been captured down to where my spare tire was, causing a smell and worsening over the course of a week. I thought the problem was just a surface issue but Genuine Detail came to my rescue and found the trapped water. I left my car there in the afternoon and later that day found my car looking and smelling like a brand new car. I'm so great they were able to resolve my issue with such great care! My father in law's car interior was very dirty (Prius 2015) dirt and dust was caked on everywhere in the interior. The car had a Lysol can in it, so I was assuming he was disinfecting the interior with Lysol before he got in the car. It was the worst interior I've seen. Needed a whole dash wipe down shampoo seats and carpet. The owner said he'd have it done by end of day as he had other projects to finish. 5pm came along and he said the car was ready. I rarely have my car detailed because it is usually super expensive but this place did a great job for the price. They have lots of different packages which I loved. As you can see from the photos my 5-year-old car looks brand new again! I have a dog so they got all of the dog hair out and now it smells and looks so clean.
