Andrew and his team are THE greatest. This is, by FAR, the best place I've ever taken my car to. For many years before moving north, he provided great service for my vehicles. Always straight-up, no BS, no upselling, just plain facts about what your car does and doesn't need. Repairs were always perfect and well-priced. Not to mention the fact that Andrew is just a great guy in general. He truly cares about making sure your vehicle is in good shape but he also genuinely cares about his customers. After I left town, my mom continued to take her car to him for service. I appreciate the fact that he always treated her like family. Every visit was pleasant and she always called me to let me know that he asked her about me and my family. Mom is now up north with us. Our family's one true regret about moving is that we can no longer take our vehicles to Andrew. We SO miss his fantastic service, his kind heart and his epic smile.

I set up the appointment and because they were a little busy I did not mind. I just rented a truck from u haul. When Buster's took my truck in about a week later I was given a great estimate and they also brought to my attention the u joints in my drive shaft needing replaced. Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. They figured a gray-haired old lady was stupid. They were wrong!

I cannot help to share with folk's about the service of David of Larry's Transmissions…read more I bought a nice looking 89 Cadi from a retired (cheating) doctor in 04 (it was not cheap) no knowing its transmission had a big problem. Within 4 months, I need to rebuild the whole transmission. Through a pilot friend, I came to Larry's transmissions. He asked for $1,500.- that was pretty high comparing with many other quotes I had got. Having listened to David's explaination, owner of the shop, I decided to let him do the work. Having no knowledge about car, I had that fixed. Within a year, he called me to follow up. Very good. A little minor problem and he fixed it without even charging me. For the past years, it runs very good. Whenever I had other problems with my car, he would tell me what I could do. Last Sunday, I smelt something burnt and saw white smoke from the car. I had my friend look at it and found nothing. So I called David to have a look at the car. He said there was a leak due to wear and tear, it costs me $65.- to fix it. For all these years, I have referred a number of friends to him and he did great jobs. They are all happy. Other mechanics also work with him for over 20 years. I know it is difficult to find honest experienced auto mechanics as my late husband and I had service station business in Los Angeles before. In Charlotte, I had met a few times, mechanics either have little experience or cheating especially to women. So I want to share with those who need a good and not reap off mechanic in case you need help. Great job and trustworthy!!!

Dave let his mechanic take my truck home so he could pick up parts in my truck. So when I went there to get my truck " I surprised him with out calling his mechanic was picking up parts then so I called the police and told him to get my truck back over there he didn't know where it was. Make this story short they left my truck on central Ave at a gas station unlocked with the key under the floor mat and told me to pick it up from there. They where good back in the day but LARRY's TRANSMISSION not shitnow do not take your car over there. Trust me. 2016 March 1st this is the date I went. P.S the police made him fill my truck back with gas.

After I had it towed to Almar, Frank called me back & asked if I had seen the car, which was strange since I bought it new as a retirement gift for myself in 1995 just before retiring from the Marine Corps. Frank said that the car had a broken mirror and a bad tire, etc. Basically, he refused to install an engine. I asked Almar to install an engine, not tires or mirrors. I guess my car didn't meet Frank's standard. Another dealer will install the engine for $900.00 cheaper. Thanks, Almar.

Heard good things about these guys through the BMW club as doing quality work at competitive…read morerates.. CEL lit up while we were visiting family in Charlotte and gave them a call. They were able to schedule me in on short notice, diagnosing it as a warranty covered issue. I was able to delay repair until we returned home. Shop was clean, organized, and offered custom performance upgrades. Highly recommend. The Club was right again.

These guys are very good at their job, can work on older BMW's, MB etc. (like old, 1980's -90's…read moreBMW). They can diagnose it, fix it and get it done. The main thing is that they are honest.
