Arrived right as they opened for service and was greeted immediately, confirmed what was to be done and was directed to the waiting area, where there is ample seating, free coffee or tea and vending machines. Service was completed in 35 minutes, no surprises or upsells, fast and courteous checkout and our car was well taken care of. Really pleased with our experience and treatment. Was worth going a little further out than the dealers closer to uptown who never got back to me,tried to put me through an automated maze of phone prompts and had horrible reviews to boot. read more

Went in because my catalytic converter was stolen and I had a tailgate recall. I told the service manager my skid plate was in the back floorboard and it needed to be replaced after the new converter was installed. Well, they forgot the skid plate, clipped a wire while they were fixing the recall on the tailgate and thought I would not notice. When they confronted the service tech, he admitted that he cut the wire and put some electrical tape around it. It took 2 more visits before they actually got everything fixed. Inquired on a 2024 F-150 and received a response from a salesman who was very attentive, up until I asked if this dealer *requires* worthless addons to purchase a new vehicle. The Tindol rep danced around the question and I finally told him I needed a YES or a NO. It was at that point I was ghosted. No response at all. You would think it would be very simple for them to not waste someone's time and just be up front with the answer, but oh well. Anyway, I later made a post on their Facebook how they won't answer you directly if you ask about required dealer addons. To no one's surprise, they deleted my critique! Cool, cool. I recently took my Mustang in to have a dent fixed on it. They made my car look like new. I take off a star because they messed up my seats and didn't put them back where they were, messed up the position of my mirrors and left a dirty footprint on the inside of my door. It may be anal or me, but they should put your car back the way it was when you brought it to them. The car looks great, I just wish they would have put my seats and mirrors back the way I had them. read more

I dont write reviews often if ever but this situation was a little different than I am used too. To start they were nice enough to drop the $500 add on for some tire shine or whatever BS on the USED F150 gee thanks. I did not even negotiate at all the internet price was fine and we had that locked in prior to my arriving to see the vehicle for the 1st time. Which also it was on service loan for almost a week before I could see it and had 700 additional miles than advertised. The entitled Gen Z salesman who could give a F whether he sold a anything had let me know that it was not on the lot in my initial inquiry a week prior and then told me when it was there asking if I could come in or leave a deposit. I did provide a deposit once the final price was established and came the next day. This was a cash deal I told him upfront I am in a hurry let me look at it verify we drove 1 mile around the block all good. Okay come in sign some nonsense papers aboyut warranty and whatever. Okay I am going to bank to get a check please get the papers ready to sign. Return 45 minutes later salesman says please wqait here "finance" guy will be with you I ask who that is he says just wait here. So after an 1/1/2 hour the finance finishes with some other customer while I listen to him try to upsell every which way from Sunday. He goes and takes a dump or whatever and on the way back I ask him how we are looking to get going, and turns out he is a total prick and says he hasd no idea what I am talking about. I blow up tell him his saleman is a lazy MF'r. He rounds him up said lazy saleman I assume admonishes him and then what do you know first time Ive seen anyone in the building have pep in their step and they get the cash deal done in the most asshole way possible. I will not darken your door again under any circumstances. My only regret is trying to apologize to the nameless finance guy but he did not want to here it. Next time you assholes sell a vehicle be effing grateful. Looks like you need some customers real bad. I did not name names they will know who I am. Preciate the sunglasses as well that was a cool bonus that came with the truck. read more

I was in the market for a new car, so I saw a nice-looking used car on the Audi of Charlotte lot.. I was able to link up with a great salesperson "Tyler" . He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the car, meaning he went the extra mile to make sure I had all of the spec's. I liked the car but had another option across town. after comparing the 2 cars i choose the one at the Audi of charlotte, i was able to retrieve a Bill of sales from the dealership and ready to present the funds for the car to the dealer ship..but a not even 2 hours later i get to the dealership and they are signing a deal with another person. The car is sold Sir ! So how was i able to get a bill of sale for the dealership 2 hours ago, presented by the sales manager and now the car is sold!!!! SHADY Business I just noticed the dealership is all about the money, the lady that was closing the deal was using their services, meaning she was getting financed by them, more money and didn't negotiate the price of the car, more money. typical workmanship of shady dealerships that's all about the money and not about the customer relationship or sales experience. I bought a new f-150 from these guys in 2019. It's been over a year and a half and I've never had anyone follow up with me asking how the truck is working out, experience with it thus far, etc. Compare this to my friend who bought a vehicle at another dealership in Gastonia 6 months ago, and they've had the sales rep follow up over 3 times making sure they are still happy with the car. That's how it should be done. I would not do business with Tindol Ford again as they're only in it to make a sale then move to the next person. Brought a f350 with a 6.7 in for crank no start. I have multiple other trucks the same motor no issue They said it had contamination of fuel. and proceeded to tell me that it was bad fule, ( all fule comes from nationwide destructor. maintains, and wasn't warranty the truck only has 93.000 on ot still under 100.000 we have all service records plus randy Martin is the 1 who done all services on it.the job was only supposed to be 3 day job it took 3 plus weeks. Not giving names but the guys need to get there s*** together. i been a machine for 20 years cant bs me I'll just do the rest of the repairs my self contacted ford direct at there main office up north the lady Heather was no help kept giving me the run around. long story short I will never come back to tindol or buy another ford new or used ever again. Even though I was buying a Fiesta, Greg treated me like a Rolls Royce client. So many salespeople are only in it for the deal Greg treats his customers with class! The finance office got me a GREAT interest rate! Tindol got me a NEW Fiesta for LESS than what other dealers were quoting me for used cars with 40-50 THOUSAND miles! Was also going to charge for cel,the same thing every place does for free. I called Tindel to get a recall serviced, an oil change and headlight changed. The women let me know she had to call me back for to make sure she had the parts in stock. She called me back and made me an appt for Feb 22nd at 12pm. That morning I dropped my car off before work and took a Lyft to work from the dealership. They had a packet outside to drop off keys. I put my keys in there but didn't have a pen to write on them and they didn't provide any at the drop off. I had hoped to give them a call to remind them during the work day once they opened but figured they would connect the dots since I had a scheduled appt. I have dropped my car off plenty of times in the past at other dearships and it's never been a problem of identifying the car. Well I called at the end of the day as I didn't have time during the work day and they said they didn't know why I dropped of my keys and claimed that I didn't have an appt. When I picked up my car, the guy I spoke with there, and the guy on the phone treated me like I was an ignorant girl who never had an appt, called the wrong dealership, took no responsibility in the situation. No apology for my wasted time and money to take a Lyft to work. He asked me who I spoke with on the phone and I told them at the time I wasn't sure but when I was going through my messages recently I found still had the voice message from the women who set up my appt- Sarah from Tindel Ford. It's one thing for the appt not to be made correctly or my car not to be serviced on or not to provide a way for customers to write on those envelopes since the dealership requires that but it's another to assume a customer is wrong and treat them like they are an idiot. It's the last place I wanted to spend any of my money after that experience and now that I'm looking for a new car, I feel like I should avoid ford since I would not like to return to that dealership, as it is the closest location to me. I've never had a problem with the ford dealership in NY, where I bought my car and in Arizona where I had my car serviced during college. read more

In 2002, I attended my first Mustang gathering and cruise at this dealership, which was a really nice atmosphere and a lot of fun. A few years later, when it was time to potentially upgrade that car, my wife went to the dealership while I was at work to try and make an offer on a Cobra. Apparently, Mustang Cobras are some sort of prestigious marque which command several thousand dollars above MSRP and expecting to pay at, or below MSRP, or use an employer negotiated X-plan will cause the salesperson to laugh at you and call your offer "stupid". My wife left, offended and we haven't bought a Ford from any dealer since. I kept my old Mustang for a while longer before buying a German car and my wife is looking at a Honda. Way better dealer networks, when taking into account similar attitudes that I've encountered at World Ford and Capitol Ford. We're done with Ford dealers. read more

UPDATE: The general manager was amazing in following up, making sure everyone who was serviced that day is safe, extremely apologetic, and wonderful. I feel mistakes happen but how we learn from them is important, so I have increased my rating from a 1 to a 3. Their service department is one of the worst. I had my 2018 Subaru serviced there. While I was driving on the interstate for an out of town family trip, my driver side wheel came off. My vehicle had to be towed and repaired. I will give the credit for stepping up and owning and lying for the tow and repair. I lost a day at work due to servicing, and had to stay in hotel. When I went to pick my check up for the tow, the manager Greg joked about the service guy double checking his work with his new torque gun. They did not offer anything else or show any remorse to the fact that a wheel coming off is serious and could have been fatal. I will never take my vehicle there again. read more

I'm just so sad and disappointed in this place. My husband and I have bought 2 brand new vehicles from them totaling around $98,000. We have premium package warranties. Well, I am nearly at the last of my warranty with one car pymt left, was going to get another new car from Ford but not after what I am going through. I've taken my car over there twice within a month to fix what seem to be a shortage or wiring issue and each time after I pick my car up, within a week or 2 the lights back on and the warnings continue to flash on the board. I'm so frustrated with this situation and Ford, that I'm determine to go elsewhere for my vehicles. The person that is paying off their vehicle is just as important as the person that is buying a new one, you will not get to my trade in and I am considering divorcing you. I would not recommend taking my vehicle to this establishment. My husband dropped my son's car off for service, which was a 2015 Mustang Roush. Two days later after numerous calls to the service department, with no returned calls, we were told an unauthorized person had picked up the car. To make a long story short, with no luck getting the car back, the person that picked up the car without our authorization, totalled the car. Tindol takes no responsibility for their actions. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This dealership is TRULY a "stealership"!! We bought a BRAND NEW car here and found damage to the body as well as paint that looked like it was easily a year old. WE HAVE PICTURES OF THE CAR DENTED PRIOR TO US PURCHASING THE VEHICLE FROM THEM!!! They actually insinuated we dented it!!!When we contacted the dealer about it we were told to bring the car back and they would take care of it. Well, two days later we were told our car was ready.... But they couldn't fix the body damage so just come pick up your car.... Without any other options or offers to repair the car. This is a $58,000 car. Fords flagship car. We were very discontent with the service at this point. Short story.... We were directed up the chain of command to the general manager Tom. The most useless and condescending individual we have ever dealt with in a customer service situation EVER! He actually told us if it were his car he would do NOTHING to the dent in the vehicle! We told him that was not an option at all and his only other option was body work, after telling us it would "compromise the factory paint" !!! We asked for a new hood instead and flat out the useless general manger Tom just said "no, I'm not ordering a hood". Totally useless. Worst car buying experience ever. All they did when we picked up the car was wax it. No scratches removed. No dents fixed. NOTHING! When we called to complain Tom the GM actually HUNG UP ON US!!
