Great service, fun atmosphere and solid happy hour menu. Not too far from the parking garage, which made it even better! Would definitely come back again!

This place is definitely gives hipster vibes, with dim lighting and eccentric decor! I enjoyed every visual detail of Uncommon. I went for a late happy hour, and the server was friendly and bubbly. She helped with drink choices and made recommendations. I didn't order any food as I went for drinks only. It's a casual place but good for any attire and it was Thursday so they also had a live performer which is nice to see and experience.

Showed up to the Uncommon never before hearing about it, so I had 0 expectations. It was a Saturday night so it was a bit busy, nothing like OT scottsdale, but they have a couple pool tables and some arcade games in the back. It is a bit difficult to order drinks if you're at the pool tables or in the back with the games, but all the drinks were pretty typical, nothing crazy, but not bad. Our waitress was kind, but she was attending to a large birthday party so it was a bit difficult to find her to order drinks or close out a tab. The bar is quite over stimulating with lots of neon colors and lights, but definitely gives off the arcade vibe that they're going for.

We stopped in here on a Sunday late afternoon and was greeted by Thea -- she was absolutely awesome! She showed us the game room, walked us through the menu, helped customize a couple drinks for us, and gave appetizer suggestions. Super friendly, bubbly, and fun to chat with -- definitely ask for her when you go (she's moving into bartending, though ). The food was so good! I had the citrus salad with grilled chicken -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor -- and my date had the Chicken Honey Hot Cluck sandwich... also amazing! The music and atmosphere were great, and the game room is such a fun bonus -- photo booth, pool table, darts, the works. All around, great vibe, great service, and great food. Can't wait to come back!

Trying some drinks from the drink menu... this is just like a dirty Shirley temple

Stopped in here on a random Monday to eat an early dinner with the fam. It was dead. There was only one other table and they were gone within 5 minutes of us sitting. The atmosphere is fun. The music is loud, something my kids complained about constantly. There are lots of games to play, but you do have to buy a play card and put the money on it. The food came out quick and was pretty good. We did order drinks from the special drink menu, which changes regularly. They were good tasting, but had no hint of alcohol in either one, even though they were supposed to be made with vodka. Little disappointing to pay so much for a drink and feel like you are drinking a Shirley temple. They do not have a big menu and there were not a lot of vegetarian options. Overall, it was an ok experience but I wouldn't go back.

A group of us met here immediately post retirement and enjoyed it immensely. I had a Reuben with crinkle cut fries. It's a common dish executed perfectly. The marbled rye was bold and savory. The corned beef was hot, ever so crispy on the edges with a perfect amount of dressing. Delicious. The fries were lightly salted golden fried happiness. The bartender was quick to take orders, refill drinks and took care of us. Loved the place. We played pool and arcade games, all in all it was a great place to while away the afternoon. Will definitely return.

    Cute seating.

Arcade Game Fact: "The iconic game "Space Invaders" caused a coin shortage in Japan when it was released in 1978. Taito's hit incorporated relentless alien invasion gameplay, capturing players' imaginations and causing real-world coin shortages as enthusiasts flocked to arcades, making it an iconic moment in gaming history." ― bitvint.com The Uncommon is a restaurant, bar, arcade, and entertainment venue in downtown Chandler Arizona. We're talking games, live music, and a cherry limeade cocktail!? Yes! After having some beer and bites at another DT Chandler establishment, we popped in for some fun and games. While we didn't order any food, although the menu looks promising, we did order some drinks to sip on while perusing the selection of games. I chose a cherry limeade cocktail, which tasted mainly of like grenadine. I was hoping for a more balanced drink, but it was fine. It helped me with my basketball, darts, and skeeball game. I even won a tiny rubber duck! It's a great place to go if you're into playing arcade games. It's not the biggest selection but you'll still have fun!

Cool vibes, good music and plenty of screens to watch the games or play games. They cater to customers here!!

First time at The Uncommon but it won't be the last! Ask for Thea she was fantastic-super welcoming and made several suggestions on the menu-- the Honey Hot Cluck with Kellogg Kornflake crusted fried chicken was spot on-even made a few custom drinks to accommodate our preferences. We also chose the Citrus Salad with chicken and it was a tasty treat. If you want a great meal with service like you are a long time local...come check out The Uncommon and try and get Thea as your service or she might be the bartender. You'll get top notch friendly service with a smile!

    Uptown Burrito
    Emily H.

Huge restaurant with arcade games and pool! There's also plentiful TVs to watch sports. I got the Uptown Burrito from the brunch menu and it was good, but needed some seasoning for the filet mignon. The meat was a bit chewy. The chipotle sauce that it comes with is okay, not to my tasting. It also comes with side potatoes as well and I chose the party potatoes which has melted cheese on it. The service was on point considering we had a huge party for brunch.

    Cool bathroom!

Music is always on pointe and I would never change the look or ambiance of the place either. My last trip here though I had to ask about why the menu had stopped changing as often since we were one of two parties there in the middle of happy hour and there was a large framed picture of a bartender with a bunch of signed notes on the bottom of it beside me at the bar. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I had a lot of fun times at this bar - including remembering the first time I met that bartender and sharing that memory with the staff that told me their story. They also shared that they would be coming out with a new menu very soon and some of the new items and ideas that would be rolling out so I am also very excited to go back! My husband and I enjoy kicking off our Sunday close to the opening hour at 7am. We eat a delicious breakfast option inside first. My husband orders a breakfast sandwich while I don't just like but LOVE the avacado toast. If available, we take our coffee and sit outside on the patio. The coffee is full bodied and delicious. My husband is a hot mocha guy. They have ice water at the front and in their spacious backyard seating area. It is a dog friendly destination. We enjoy seeing the wide variety of furry regulars. There are free treats for them. The service is consistently friendly and on top of their game. They really know how to move a line but you never feel rushed. They offer a points/ reward program for purchases which is always nice. When I asked my husband about cost he said it is so good he didn't even look! I checked our transaction history. For both of us including tip it was around $44- very decent in this day and age for such high quality. What a gem in Downtown Chandler!

My friend and I both ordered mediums with 75% sweetness, and it was the perfect drink for a hot, humid summer morning. Sweet enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. We also ordered matching bagel sandwiches. I do wish they offered a turkey bacon option, but the sandwiches were still hot, fresh, and delicious. The real star was the mayo aioli. I could probably put that on just about anything. The vibes are wonderful too. It's cozy, welcoming, and the kind of coffee shop where you want to linger with a friend for a while. My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.
