This is one of those places you would have know to come eat here. Can't really see it driving down the street. Well came here for lunch, nice chilly day and light rain, hot noodle soup dish sounds awesome. Nice small restaurant with friendly staff. Ordered spicy beef with rice noodle. Bowl came out pretty fast and of course as I expected noodle was not "just boiled" chew to it. It was not soggy but it didn't have the chew I like in my noodle. Don't get me wrong it was not bad, I would have waited little longer for fresher noodle. Broth had pretty good flavor and it's not spicy hot but it did have a mouth numbing schezwan pepper spice to it. I think this is one of two Chinese place I came with dish this mouth numbing . Noodle bowl was pretty good over all with good portion of meat and some veggies. I would come here again and try some other dishes.

One word YES!!! I work in the area. I have to work in office one week of the month. After work I'm not feeling going home cooking, long drive, plus annoying drivers equals go sit relax and get dinner. Tempe native here and Tempe has always been a foodies paradise in the Valley. It consists of diverse cultures which means various ethnic foods. So yes Yelp to the rescue what to eat? Hmmm let's see Chinese the out of town review win me over. It has late night pickup; cute, quaint, and not fancy. Review photos did it for me the person went all in on how good it was in her review. Why not try it. They have buns and dumplings; I feel like a little kid Drooling. Yes I got both bomb. I'm going back very small parking but worth the drama to get there. Next time may Lyft or Waymo from work & then back to avoid the drama of Tempe traffic & parking. Fluffy Grandma recommends.

Great spot for a late night meal offering a lot of options such as noodles, rice and dumplings. I ordered the chow fun here usually and it's good. My most recent visit I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup with chili wontons and I would get that combo again. The noodles can be chosen as egg or rice. The beef was really tender and soft. I highly recommend this place.

They offer very authentic Taiwanese/Chinese food here. My husband and I love it! The flavor may be just a little bit too plain for average US taste, but it would be exactly what my taiwanese mom would like, The people here are so nice and welcoming, just like a family! The ambiance is a little old styled, but kept very clean. Absolutely a keeper!

Pretty decent noodles and wontons. The spicy wontons were more on the sweeter side. Portion is pretty big!

If you want amazing local authentic food go here right now. I'm serious right now. It is so good and for the price we all left full and the sesame chicken is definitely a must!!

Chen's Noodles may be tucked away in a sketchy-looking plaza with limited parking, but don't let that fool you--this place is a hidden gem. The owners, who seem to have a Taiwanese background (you can tell by what's playing on the TV), run the restaurant with warmth and hospitality. My go-to order is the rice noodles and their signature dish: steamed chicken with chili sauce. The portions are generous--I can never finish everything in one sitting--so I always take half the chicken home and use their incredible chili sauce to make my own noodles later. The owners, a friendly Asian uncle and auntie, are always so kind. They go out of their way to offer extra soup for the rice noodles and greet every customer with the warmest smile. I've even spent holidays like New Year's and Chinese New Year here, and their food never fails to bring me comfort--it truly feels like home. By the way, don't forget to ask for a punch card from them!

Consistently great food at a solid price. I go for the braised beef noodle soup(order it spicy and get the chewy noodles) as well as the soup dumplings. The service is pretty fast and there's lots of seating. They are also perfect for night cravings as they do have late hours. It's a cute and clean little place.

Was craving some legit Chinese and had seen this place pop up online. Unlike most places that get featured on some foodie instagrams, this place didn't look like it was all about being cute and the food looked more my style. When you get there the menu is what you imagine at a legit Chinese place, written in both English and Chinese. It's kind of hard to picture a lot of the items if you're not already familiar because there's not many pictures or much of a description. With some help from the women working there I ended up choosing the spicy beef noodle soup, the soup dumplings, and chow fun in XO sauce and added chicken. When i got the soup I could smell the Szechuan peppercorn in there which I love and was exciting for the mouth numbing experience. The soup was tasty, and the beef was super soft. As first you might think it's going to be a bunch of tendons in the meat, but not at all. The dumplings were also delicious and done well. I unfortunately was not a huge fan of the chow fun but that's completely on me since I had no idea what I was really ordering. Knocking a place down because I didn't like it would be wrong. If you're not familiar, XO sauce is a bit seafoody in flavor and there was no way I was getting through that whole plate of it. Overall, great authentic food. You can tell that the family running the place works hard and I can appreciate that.

I should have been to this place sooner! I hear about them but I was worried about traffic/parking around the campus. I did delivery order and I wanted to do this every Friday. The fish is so tasty with some kinds of salt and pepper sauce with lots of chili. The pickled celery on top of rice is surprisingly good and addictive. The black rice porridge is tasty with a little bit of sweetness. I need more bowl please.

Previously, I had walked by and saw lots of people inside and nice advertisements for hand, pulled, or knife cut noodles. When I visited, the restaurant was partially full, but by the time I left, it was packed with a wait at the door. The staff was very friendly and kind. The outside and inside decor shows that this is a no-frills restaurant, but it makes up for it with amazing food. I ordered the mapo tofu, the pepper, beef noodle soup, and the tofu noodles. The pepper beef soup had a nice bite to it, but was a different kind of hot spice then other heat brought by oils or chili peppers. The broth was flavored well and the soup had a great balance of meat and vegetables. The noodles were wonderfully chewy and tender. It was a bit challenging to eat them at first since they were very long but once they were cut, things went much quicker. The noodles and tofu had a wonderful sauce on them, and the noodles could have been eaten by themselves alone. I appreciated the fried tofu and plentiful vegetables, which aren't always in some dishes. The Mapo tofu had a side of rice and was pleasantly seasoned. It wasn't too spicy, but had a nice depth to it. I also had an order of Xiao long bao and barbecue pork bow buns. These were great, but we're so overshadowed by the rest of the food that they took a back seat. However, they are excellent even if a person orders just these. I had leftovers and this place has the most amazing containers and to go bags whether it is for a local delivery or dine in and takeout. So cool! When I reheated the leftovers the next day, the flavors had had a chance to meld and deepen and the food was next level. I almost want to order again just to be able to eat everything the next day. This is my new favorite spot and I am only kicking myself for not coming here earlier.

They still bring out food, drinks, and check on tables so there is service provided. Everything was quick and most of all tasty! Both of our ramens were medium spicy which can be modulated since the spicy paste is on the side and added to the broth. Overall both ramen bowls were delicious and with plenty of toppings included. One broth was clear, other was creamy and noodles had good texture. The noodle type isn't my exact favorite type of ramen but I still enjoyed it. I prefer a thicker ramen noodle. I still ate the whole damn thing lol. The chicken bun was very good although not spicy. I liked it-- chicken was nice and crispy and the bun was super soft & pillowy. The shrimp tempura hand roll was solid. No complaints. Tbh, I liked the food more than I expected to. Which is always nice when that happens. Fried Gyoza: savory and crunchy with the perfect dip to top it off. Shoyu Ramen: Well done egg and comforting warm broth. Love the ratio of broth to noodles. The pork is perfect in proportion and tender bite. Pork Bun: the cutest bun with a piece of marinated pork inside. Pretty good app! I'm not sure if they make smaller pork buns for the combo because if you order a fried gyoza with the combo, it comes with 4 pieces instead of 6. Either way it was worth it as part of the combo. Either way, The food we received was the bomb.com! We were hanging out and watching movies on a Saturday while my lady was nursing a bit of a cold. She wanted something in the chicken noodle soup family, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to look for Ramen or pho. Now that's where the start started, but that's clearly not where it ended. After a couple of different searches, we found kung fu noodle And simply picked it based on a combination of the pictures, the reviews and the fact that they have several noodle soup options that looked really appealing. Ultimately, we ended up ordering the spicy beef noodle soup, and the house special noodle soup along with their dumplings, crab Rangoon's and fried rice. Now, usually I skip straight to the review of the food at this point, but I have to give them one additional compliment. This place goes the extra mile in terms of making sure the delivery experience is Extra level. Starting with their packaging, which, for someone who is infatuated with great design, they really do a great job of driving home the full brand experience! Not only were the package is aesthetically, pleasing and artistic in some cases, but they were also very functional as well with all of the plastic containers having sealed lids that had to be broken open for the first time by us. This was just extra assurance that our food wasn't tampered with on the ride from the restaurant to the house. In addition, the food was extremely fresh and hot, even the crab Rangoon's, which in some cases can be delivered with that wet, gummy effect because of the steam and condensation that accumulates inside of many of the take-home containers that you receive from most Asian food places. I wouldn't argue that this is the kind of containers that you would necessarily keep around as home Tupperware, but the bag that they sent everything in definitely feels like it's gotta reuse or two in it. Overall, we were really happy with the quality of the food as both Soups were portion wise enough for two consecutive days of meals. Same thing with the fried rice, which was really good We got the shrimp version and it had plenty of shrimp and veggies in addition to really fresh rice. Lastly, while I'm not specifically a dumpling guy, I decided to try these because the pictures looked really good on the website. And I can't lie, these were definitely really Good dumplings. Overall, we are looking forward to trying to spot out in person, but if we have to order again before we make it in person, that's what it is going to be!
