I've had this place on my list for quite w while. Well, the BFF and I finally tried it and it did not disappoint. We tried a little bit of everything. The star of the show were the Jalapeño Wings with the Salt. & Pepper Shrimp a close second. The staff was very friendly at the window and answered all of our first-timer questions. This is a pickup window only so be aware of that. We drove pretty quickly home to try it all! The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 is because we went back up to the window to add an item to our order and when we got home it was missing, despite asking when we were given the bags.

Im not sure about the food now, it taste really different from what i remember, the teriyaki was not flavorful as before but the beef brocolli is still the same. Still have a big servings it will really make you full. The Jalapeno chicken was still the bomb. There's still a lot of line so call ahead to skip a line, you will still wait for 5-10mins but it's better than waiting 25-30mins.

Food was amazing and fresh! It is a walk up window, very busy but even in the heat, they are mindful to get the food out in a timely manner.

If you hang on corner of 7th Ave waiting for Chinese food through a barred up window.... risk is worth it. Bought Sesame chix, orange chix, lo mein, house fried rice, house egg fu Yung, jalapeño wings, and egg rolls. For the price of food now... $80 was not bad. Im shouting out the Jalapeño Wings, real spice, real flavor, big wings. Egg Foo Yung was good, sauce was nice, didnt feel like packet or can based. The orange chix and seame chix tasted burned from the oil... but edible. Call in, place order, drive up, go to the window, confirm your order they'll make it in good time. AZ has terrible Chinese food. This place is pretty solid. Its 3 stars because food was cheap oily grease food... but comfort food. 3 stars because of location with fentanyl zombies and medically psychosis patients kinda kill the atmsophere ambiance of the area.

Best Chinese take-away in the city. While there is nowhere to sit down, as long as you have a secondary location to bring the food, it will be a great experience. The food was cooked well and the noodles had great flavor. The only critique I had was that the crab Rangoons tasted a little too oily, however, they are in oil so that should be a given. Amazing food!

Liyuen is a nice Chinese restaurant conveniently located near Sky Harbor Airport. From the moment you arrive, the friendly staff greets you warmly, setting the tone for an excellent dining experience. I ordered the Spicy Honey Chicken, Lo Mein, and Chicken Fried Rice. Everything arrived in generous portions at very affordable prices. The Chicken Fried Rice was hot and flavorful, and the Spicy Honey Chicken is an absolute MUST try! It came out crispy, perfectly spicy, and wonderfully sweet. The Lo Mein was decent, though it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. Liyuen can get quite busy, so it's definitely a good idea to order ahead. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious Chinese food!

It's a small hole in the wall place, literally just a window where you order and pick up. Not the best area. There was a small line during lunch. The food took some time to get, feels like it was cooked then. The food was decent nothing special. I had the Kung Pao chicken didn't taste look how it would be regularly, a little too saucy and a lot more vegetables than what you usually get. The wontons which came with the lunch special was a little hard. The spring roll was good. But for the price you pay what you get is good and the portions are large as well. They also do a charge an extra fee for credit card transactions. Don't know if there is a minimum.

I'd been craving American Chinese food and finally decided to check out this spot that I'd heard about for ages. It's a no-frills, hole-in-the-wall setup--just a single takeout window, a line to order, and people hanging around waiting for their food. I went on a Friday evening, waited about 10 minutes in line to place my order, got a number card, and then waited another 30 minutes for my food to be ready (they call your number when it's up). Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with our order number--we were given a #10 card, but they wrote #1 on the receipt, so we got our food later than we should have. I ordered the Y7 combo (orange chicken with shrimp fried rice). The flavors were great, but the orange chicken was missing any "orange" flavor. The chicken itself was good, though a bit heavy on the breading--about 40% of each piece was just batter. The shrimp fried rice was the highlight: flavorful, with high-quality shrimp that felt fresh. A couple of tips: They accept Visa and Mastercard, but there's a $0.75 fee for card payments, and they don't take Amex (they check your ID if you use a credit card!). If you don't want to wait in line, you can call ahead and place your order, which is probably what I'd do next time. While we won't be rushing back, we'd give it another shot when we're in the mood for good American Chinese food. Just keep in mind, it's not in the most fancy neighborhood in town, but the food is worth a visit if you're looking for a casual spot.

My friend took me here and said it was a local favor and there was always a line outside. We pulled up and there was indeed a line. But it was well worth the wait. I got the beef chow fein and it slapped. Add the gravy.

tonight i decided to try the V3 combo, which is the vegetable egg foo young combo with vegetable fried rice. it was even better than i expected, and my order was still piping hot even when in traffic on the way back! the egg foo young was crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside, and the gravy was top tier. the gravy somewhat reminded me of KFC's gravy in a good way. as for the vegetable fried rice, it was insanely delicious! it had a generous amount of broccoli that was nice and firm (i'm not too keen on mushy broccoli, so this was a plus) and lots of green onions. i was immensely satisfied with my order, and of course i still had plenty left over afterwards! can't wait to see what i try next... :3

Here's the deal. It takes effort to buy Chinese food here. There is always a line and you gotta physically go down to order and wait for them to hand it to you through the window. Clearly it's worth it because we all do it. Best wings hands down. The shrimp fried rice is better after the wings are laying on it on that combo. If you do get lucky and can order it in you still have to walk up and describe your order you made pay and wait for them to start cooking it. However regardless of the unsafe vibe in the area, I still go and enjoy those wings.

Phones don't work. You need to come to the window to order. No walk in. Bring cash there is an up charge for card.

Our wait was super long, which wasn't ideal in such a sketch part of the neighborhood. Not going to stop going though because their food is so so good. I'm from the PNW and have struggled to find good Chinese food but this is our new decorate spot. Bring cash there is an up charge for card.

I've been really excited to come here. I really love hole in the wall places... and this just wasn't it for me. We ordered ahead and showed up 35 minutes later and had to wait approx 10 more minutes for our order. I don't mind the sketch neighborhood at all and honestly can be good with greasy food (especially for a hangover day, like today). But the food was greasy but almost tasted like a dirty grease sort of way? The chicken wings were incredibly dry. The beef in the beef and broccoli tasted weird... and I didn't love the lo mein. Overall, I tried to come back and eat a little more for dinner and sadly threw a large portion away. This isn't somewhere I'd order from again.

This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. Traditional Mongolian beef usually has onions, and mine didn't have any. The flavors were really good, though the beef was a little on the salty side. Not so salty that it was inedible, but definitely something where you'll want a sip of water with each bite. Overall, still a good spot with great soups, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere.
