George Gee Kia - Car Dealers Near Me - Liberty Lake, Washington

Deceptive, ill-informed, and combative. We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with George Gee Kia after taking our 2019 Kia Soul to this authorized Kia dealership due to the Knock Sensor Detection System warranty repair. The installation was relatively quick, however after leaving the dealership and driving less than 10 miles, the engine died completely and needed to be replaced. This was due to another warranty issue with the engine itself (which was also covered under warranty from Kia). Under this warranty, the dealership is responsible for providing a loaner vehicle through their Service Rental Car (SRC) Program with Kia. Instead, they chose to charge us for this loaner vehicle and told us we could seek reimbursement from Kia. This would be correct if we had rented a car from a third-party rental service, but we received the loaner through the dealership. $550 later, we contacted Kia regarding reimbursement for the charge, and were informed that the dealership should have never charged us for it, and they would contact them to resolve it. Since the dealership is responsible for seeking reimbursement from Kia for this loaner vehicle and erroneously charged us instead, it would suggest that they are either too lazy to file the reimbursement or are double-dipping and charging both us and Kia. Despite being contacted by Kia directly, the service advisor Chris N continued to refuse the refund. As it stands now, Kia has filed a complaint with the owner, and we still await an adequate resolution. Needless to say, we are continuing with Kia in disputing the charge, and additionally I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well as having our bank issue a chargeback. Avoid this service department. They aren't interested in helping, they just want to make a quick buck and leave you out to dry. read more

The gentleman at service who helped us was respectful. But there were so many other problems. It was very difficult to get our car in to fix the wheel. The receptionist didn't call us back with an appointment like promised. We reached out to the manager and finally got in. We were told by our tire store that the wheel was almost for sure a manufacturer defect and was causing the tire to leak. We questioned whether it would be covered on warranty. They were unsure and said they would get back to us. They never got back to us. We showed up to get it and found out that it wasn't covered under warranty after the service had been completed. So we didn't have a chance to say whether we wanted it done or not. When we went to pick it up, We found out that it was twice as much money as where we could've had it done somewhere else. Over $1200 for a wheel. Our tire store could've gotten a genuine Kia will for half that price. I then was told to contacted Kia customer service to see what could be done. I got an email 2 weeks later that nothing will be done to meet us halfway or try to make us satisfied. This will likely be the last Kia that we purchase after buying Kia the last 2 times we needed vehicles. My Kia Rio was having problems shutting down in the middle of the road and 2 other dealerships told me I had to take it to a Kia. The nearest one to Spokane was this one in Liberty Lake half an hour away. Mark was my family's advisor and he hasnt given us any updates, decided to fix a recall without telling us until they realized they had to order a part. After the part didnt arrive, Mark didn't give any updates and we have had to reach out to find out whats happening with my car. We emailed the general manager and still have not heard anything and dont even have a rental. Still waiting must have found a lot of sensors and engine light who knows on that. They held up there end I was right at the end of me warranty I thought It was 100,000 mile of 6 years whichever comes first (which it is).....for windshields and fobs from the day you purchased it but the bumper-to-bumper warranty the covers everything besides normal terror is from the start date of the truck or they and I didn't realize that I missed that part. I was right at the end of it and they made it so it's still covered under my warranty, which was very I'd be screwed. star review. They are the best!!! So went to see two vehicles a Sportage and a Sorento. Gave them a heads up through chat on the two cars I was interested in driving. Arrived at dealership. A salesman who was helping a customer asked if I had been helped and made call to get a salesman to assist. After ten minutes of no show by another salesman, the salesman apologized to his customers and accompanied me into the office to find a sales person. Inside found three at their desks......no customers.......hmmm. New salesman 1 greets me asks me what I needed gets the keys to cars I want to see and then pushes me off on Salesman 2 (who stated he was busy at lunch). Salesman 2 then greets me and takes me to test the cars, all good now, ......but after Sorento, test the Sportage and he states we have to hurry because he has an appointment in 18 minutes with another customer......WTF? My recently purchased (used) 2021 Kia Telluride abruptly wouldn't start after an appointment. This wasn't good as I am leaving in 2 days for the Seattle for work. I was able to get a jumpstart and get to GG Kia service where Robby greeted me. I told him my predicament and he gladly offered to look at it on a busy Friday. He told me it was indeed the battery and said I could sit in the lounge for an hour or so while they got the replacement. I recently purchased a used vehicle from George Gee, and shortly after, I noticed a strong odor once the dealership's air freshener faded. After some investigation, I traced the smell to what appeared to be a spill--possibly vomit--deep in the carpet and foam underneath. While addressing this issue, I decided to clean the rest of the car and found that many areas not immediately visible had not been properly detailed. There were children's toys and food debris wedged in seat crevices, grime on seat belts, and general dirt in places that should have been cleaned during a proper detailing. I take responsibility for not conducting a more thorough inspection before purchasing. However, I trusted the dealership's claim that the car had been professionally detailed multiple times. Given the condition I discovered, I have concerns about the quality of their cleaning process or the accuracy of their claims. If you're considering purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership, I strongly recommend inspecting everything--including less obvious areas--before finalizing your decision. read more

I had an appointment this morning to have the buttons and wiring on my steering wheel (2016 KIA Rio) changed out with OEM parts that I'd bought online. The CSR (A Great Guy) asked me what was wrong with the current buttons and I said nothing was wrong with them (because they were perfectly fine). They didn't ask any more questions and just did what I asked them to do. PERFECT. The Tri-Cities dealership had refused to do my job. I drove my vehicle home with cruise control that had never been accessible on my vehicle before because the proper buttons and wiring were not present. I'm so happy! Also, the wonderful customer service guy installed a connector on my vacuum hose (that had been eaten by rabbits) and also made my windshield washer work again (it also had been eaten by rabbits). Got car, suspension, which was never a problem, is jacked. Car runs weird. I called to ask what they did to my car and they said to call back. Needed the car to run for another couple years. Dropped my car off to get a transmission fluid exchange. Thought it would be a quick in and out and that they'd call me when done. 1pm rolls around i walk back in to see the status of my vehicle and they hadnt even started, stating "oh, we thought you dropped it off for the day". A transmission fluid exchange takes an hour to do. My suggestion is to write what you need out on a sicky note and safety pin it to the service agent and wait in the waiting room and do not let them sit on their hands. read more

Last spring i had my oil changed and they rotated my tires and added air. All went good. I made an appointment for another oil change for last wednesday at 1:30. Wanted my tires rotated and add air in the tires like last time. They said that was included in the oil change. Almost 2 hours later the rep contacted me it was done. I asked if everything was done they said yes. I paid my bill got in my car started driving and the steering wheel felt like oil. got on the freeway and found my tire pressure was not at 35 PSI like it should have. all tires were at 30 and 31 PSI. Therefore that was not done. Got home and washed my steering wheel and now I need to go somewhere and add air in my tires. Very poor serivice for what I paid for. read more

This is a crazy waste of time. This is the second time I have had to come to this George Gee service shop. Both times it took over 5 hours to complete the work. Yes, I had appointments both times. The first time I knew the problem so all they had to do is fix it. The second time was just for a diagnosis. You would think if they had competent mechanics, these functions would not take all day. My family has several vehicles, different makes models. We have never had this amount of problems with our other rigs as we have had with Kias. I will never buy another Kia in my life. Very disappointed with having to take a day off work to get this vehicle fixed. I don't usually come here cause normally I can get a vehicle diagnosed and fixed in a much quicker timeframe and less expensive of course. Honestly, only come here as a last resort and plan to stay all day and then have to bring it back another time if you get it fixed by them which I wouldn't recommend. read more

I bought a sierra 1500 from here a couple weeks ago and after I got home I saw that the truck had multiple chips out of the windshield and I let them know about it and a week has gone by and they said it'll be a while and safelite will contact me. I feel after a person spends 50+ thousand dollars at there business they would take care of these issues. Also I'm pretty sure when you buy cars they should give you a spare key for the car. Now the dealership wants to charge me 400 bucks for a spare key. I know these sound like smaller issues but customer service is everything and I feel like they just did and said whatever to make the sale and are now leaving me high and dry. Sucks. read more

Tried to reach George Gee Kia service today. I've had issues in the past with them not returning my calls so stayed on the phone. I didn't want to schedule an appointment online because I first needed to know if they had the part I required. After being on hold for 20 minutes I used my wife's phone to get in queue. After another 20 minutes both phones were telling me that I was #2 in line. How is that possible? After 1 hour 20 minutes Gee service disconnected my call and my wife's phone was still saying I was still #2 in line. After 1 hour of being on hold with her phone I hung up. 1 hr 20 minutes total time with 2 phones to get nowhere. Pretty frustrating. read more

This review is for the service department only. Terrible customer service. Scheduled a recall repair, went in, after two hours they said I needed a new part(fuse) (as noted in the recall) but they would have to order it. Scheduoled another appointment to have the fuse replaced. TOld them online and in person I would wit for the work to be done (only takes 30 minutes). After waiting 90 minutes, I went and asked about my car and was told it had not been worked on as I was not waiting for it. One person blamed the other, when I spoke to the service manager he didn't seem at all disturbed, did not apologize. All the people I spoke with had a terrible attitude. I never complain about service, but this was too much. Just rude, uncaring, incompetent. read more

Airfilter not connected, alternator, struts, driveline, ac, oil pressure, starts sometimes. This has been going on for a year. Well they said they want to make it right. We show up expecting to meet the girl who we have been dealing with nope she was off. The made a new guy help us who was great! I hope he finds a better place to work. I brought in my Kia Soul in a few days back for an oil change (my third one with this service department). I had a $79.99 coupon for the service (oil change, tire rotation, and exterior wash), and the receiving service manager took my coupon and said it was good. When the service was done, a different service manager rang up the total at $102 and change. I was puzzled at the price, considering the coupon, and the SM told me there was a upcharge for the oil and $14.95 for the oil filter kit, neither having been mentioned in the coupon I had. She was very nice and refunded my card to bring the price back down to what the coupon said. She thanked me for coming in and said my car would be just outside the service door, but it instead had been parked clear across the parking lot (with the last two complimentary oil changes the car was parked close to the door). Also I notice no tire rotation had been done (one of my wheels was scruffed up by a curb a while back, so I could tell). And the oil change reminder had not been reset on my dash and I ended up having to use YouTube to find out how to reset it myself when I got home. All this has left me disappointed in a dealership that had been so terrific to buy my car from several years ago. I now suspect no tire rotations have been done since I bought my car from them, and makes me question if I can trust them in the future with something as simple as oil changes. And if a company is going to use coupons, they should be up front on ALL the extra kits or charges they add to the bill. I'm not sure I will go back here again for future oil changes. read more
